This place has become one of our go-to spots. The people are awesome good attitudes, kind service, and the kind of place that feels welcoming the second you walk in. You can tell the folks behind the cooking actually care about what they're putting out. And the food? Solid. Dude, these people should really be embarrassed. I spent like $25 for the carnivore plate and received a pathetic portion of food. Two small strips of brisket, a tiny portion of pulled pork, and maybe 8 little slices of sausage. The food was tasty, but the portions were TINY. Do not support this place. My son and I went through the drive-through and ordered a brisket sandwich which, of course I requested moist to make sure that I had the juicy brisket and also his brisket for the kids meal. The brisket was like it is in Texas out of this world. Good. I was totally impressed. I was even more impressed with how quickly they were able to get us the food. I'm not sure what some of these other reviews experienced and maybe it was off day, but the meat was very moist and juicy and absolutely excellent. Instead of saying "hello" or any halfway polite greeting the lady just starts spitting off all the things they are out of then just walks off. I can hear them talking about throwing out perfectly good food so they can start cleaning a hour before they close! No wonder y'all are out of everything you're throwing it all away! Finally another lady took my order and although she was saying polite things you could tell she had a lil attitude. I won't be returning I'll spend my money somewhere else from now on. It's 5:50 and our family arrived to enjoy a meal at Dickey's The menu board here shows every sandwich combination to include drinks and fries. Under the menu board they have a hand written sign that says "NO fried food at This location. No chicken nuggets, fries and wings." If that wasn't disappointing enough when we went to get our drinks from the fountain machine we discovered it was out of Diet Coke. When we brought it to the attention of the cashier she just said oh well it's out. Then while waiting at the table for our food, the cashier then came out to inform us the bake Beans we had ordered as our side were out as well. Staff are not trained and deny that menu items exist, one even told me I couldn't order something in the store, I had to order it online and then come pick it up at the store because they couldn't figure out how to punch in the order... Orders are typically missing sides or have the wrong sides, also tiny portions of BBQ sauce are included or sometimes not at all. The food doesn't taste fresh and something about it seems off. They once gave me a lukewarm iced tea with no ice. Could not believe it. Just avoid this place. I don't want to lose the only Dickeys around but it needs to close. It's a disaster. read more

Worst BBQ I've ever had. I was in Texas last month, and I'm not sure this should even be called BBQ. Brisket was dry and tough, pulled pork was dry. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had good flavor, but it was cold. We went through the drive thru, and had a 5 minute drive home, and almost everything was lukewarm to the point I'm concerned about getting food poisoning tonight. The only thing in our meals that was legitimately hot was the loaded baked potato casserole, and it wasn't good. The mac and cheese was cold and bland. They also have a bunch of items on their menu that aren't even available at this location. There is zero chance I ever eat here again. read more

I've been eating at Dickie since I ate at the first one in Dallas Texas many years ago. The ones in Texas are better, but these franchised stores are awesome, too. This particular store is clean, but rarely has a lot of people in it. I'm not sure why that is, because the food is really good. I went there today for lunch, and was disappointed. First impression was that this place is in desperate need of love. I didn't go inside, but the outside has dead grass, desperately in need of some new paint, menu board just has a few pieces of paper glued to the plexiglass. No pictures, or anything to say order delicious food here! Side, orders, consisted of beans, or spicy beans. No mac & cheese, coleslaw, fries of any kind. Just beans. I was feeling a little weary, and resisted the urge to drive onto the next place. I ordered a brisket sandwich with, you guessed it, beans. The sandwich was unremarkable and dry although the flavor wasn't bad. I'm not sure what they gave me to drink, but it was not the Dr Pepper that I ordered. Spicy beans, were pretty spicy. But overall, not very appetizing. At the end of the day, I probably won't be making a return trip. I've been to many dickeys restaurants over the years, and this one feels like it is desperately in need of new management, Ownership, or both. Not sure how they're doing financially, but it feels like this place is on its last legs. If only the place down the road had been open, or the guy at the food truck Mall had been paying attention at his window. Is it really that hard to find good BBQ in town? So sad. read more

We were recently house hunting in Coeur d' Alene, stopped for lunch and had the best surprise, really good BBQ. Honestly, I wasn't expecting food this good as it is a chain and we have a favorite award winning BBQ restaurant back in Nevada that just lost being our go to. I read these reviews and haven't had the same experience that some mention of small portions ands items being out. In fact our portions have been good And the food is tasty and reasonably priced. We ordered through door dash and the food arrived hot. We had a tiny snafu on the order and I called just to let them know so that they could be sure to not to let it happen to someone else but the guy that answered the phone said he wanted to make it right and drove us out a pound of brisket within 15 minutes to make sure we were happy. Went to the CDA restaurant today, what a disappointment. $30 for 2 , 2 meat plates. Got 2 pieces of brisket, each about 3 inches long. If I put the meat in a vice, and squeezed it, not even a drop of moisture would have came out of the brisket between both our plates. I've been smoking briskets for almost 40 years and I don't care what you say, that brisket was not smoked. When you smoke brisket, you get a nice pink smoke ring all around the edges of the brisket. No smoke flavor, no pink smoke ring at all, just deep dark brown dried brisket. We both also had jalapeño beans and Mac and cheese. Didn't taste anything spicy about the beans and Mac and cheese were cafeteria quality. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for real BBQ, you're not gonna find any here read more

I will never use or recommend Dickys for catering again. When booking the catering the manager was great, she called me after my online Inquiry and I told her we needed to change a few things on it. Like the food choices, amount of people, time and address. I called back once recieving the receipt and double checked she had the correct info as the receipt showed everything we entered online vs what was actually needed. She assured me it was. Come the day of delivery I called to confirm and the time was wrong by an hour and a half. The employee on the phone was extremely rude but said they would fix it. I then called back just to make sure the address was correct and when she went to check with the driver that she had the correct info the driver then yelled out "are you fu**ing kidding me it's not even the fu**ing address they put in on here" I then said to the employee "I just hear everything your driver said" and she replied "sorry she just wasn't supposed to be the one delivering this. Sorry about that". When she arrived she was very rude and asked for help grabbing the food because "it's just me" she said. We don't mind helping but when we booked to have our company Christmas dinner catered the manager assured me they come and set it up. Not to mention the rolls were so cold we all thought they were frozen and hadn't been cooked. Nightmare of an experience. "I guess we forgot your order". We examined the take out order and it was missing three of the sides and had one side we did not order. Now onto the food. Lukewarm at best. No bbq sauce included. The bbq chicken was probably the worst chicken I have ever had. Extremely salty and all dried out. The pork ribs and brisket were ok... nothing special. If I could give it a negative star I would. I got a loaded baked potato with turkey and they put chicken instead. my "turkey" was visibly pink and slimy. my boyfriend got the brisket and it was just plain and flavorless. so i reverted to the side salad i got. i never knew lettuce could be dry. and that was the pieces that were edible. the other bits and pieces of lettuce were sad brown and slimy. the croutons were soggy and wet. the only good thing in this order was the bread that was more moist than the lettuce. not to mention this was a $50 order. all in all, i would not recommend. read more

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Been wanting to try Dickey's for a while. Last night I went through the drive thru and finally "got to" try it. Short story, it wasn't good. The Good: The sides (Mac n Cheese, Creamed Spinach) were pretty good. The cashier was friendly. The Bad: The drive thru menu isn't updated. So the menu inside and outside don't match. I learned this because I was hoping to get a combo meal (like two meats and sides) and it wasn't on the outside menu. When I asked the cashier he let me know that it confuses most people because the menus are different. I watched my creamed spinach be spooned out of a plastic bag. Not very appetizing. There wasn't enough left for a full portion, so after much scraping the guy dishing up my food decided 80% full was good enough and gave up. The meat, I asked for pulled pork and brisket. I asked for the brisket to be chopped because I wasn't going to eat at a table so I knew cutting it would be tough. What I ended up with was a pile of mixed brisket and pulled pork. Most of it was really dry. Not good flavor. I wasn't given any sauce or offered any sauce. There was also a large chunk of bone in it. I was also given a stale/hard roll, it was not good. The price, ended up being $13.75 with no drink. The price was unbelievable for the quantity/quality. It's a terrible value and the poor quality just made it a worse experience. The Ugly: the meat was pulled out of a warmer completely mummified in plastic wrap. After my modest servings were removed, I watched them wrap it back up in 12 feet of plastic wrap. No part of this seems like real BBQ. It's not my desire for any business to fail. I wanted to love Dickey's but it ended up being a huge let down. When the only thing I would go back for is the Mac n Cheese, there's problems on the horizon I think. read more
