I was expecting a different experience from a business that defines itself as "upscale." In all honesty, that is why I was in no rush to try this business as I tend to enjoy more comfy food, but we have some friends that prefer the upscale life. That being said, service was very good. That's the high point. The WINGS were a disappointment. They were akin to Costco's precooked wings, but these were all about presentation versus good taste. Try not petrifying the meat would be a good start. I had one of the hamburger plates. I really liked the fries. These were well prepared. The hamburger on the other hand was lacking any uniqueness or even quality beef. So if you are one of those people that believes a hamburger should be a culinary experience, this is not the dish you want to get here. Okay, I hate to be the negative Nelly, but the worst part of the upscale experience was the crescendo of noise. It crept up on you as the lunch crowd moved in. It was seriously hard to communicate at your own table. The decor offers little to no sound mitigation. Seriously, consider acoustic tiles. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The positive first-the food was delicious and our server was nice. The not so positive-we placed our order and didn't get our food for an hour! They were busy but not overly busy. People who came in after us got their food and left before we were even served. Our server kept checking on our food and apologized for how long it took. There's no need to get upset at her, as she's not running the kitchen, but the manager should have seen how long we sat without food. Also, it was extremely cold in the restaurant to the point of being miserable, especially sitting and waiting that long. When we walked outside, it was much warmer than inside and was only 62 degrees outside. People don't want to be miserably cold while enjoying a meal, or anticipating getting a meal. We came here for my husband's birthday in July, we enjoyed it so much that we decided why not come back for my birthday. (I'm late writing this review as my birthday was in September.) The food was still very good, but I'll say the server can absolutely make or break an experience. Our server was very cold, we noticed him interacting with other tables and he was much friendlier, so maybe he doesn't like kids? (My 5yo daughter was also dining with us.) He didn't tell us about specials, when we asked it wasn't detailed at all, he seemed almost annoyed. He wasn't as attentive to us as he was to those tables around us. We also sat in the side building (where the kitchen is located.) There was a definite fly problem, which was a bit of a put off. We ordered the smokehouse wings to start (sauce on the side), my husband did the seasonal short rib -which was the special) and I ordered the filet. My daughter was quite happy with the chicken and fries. So I'll say while the food is good, it'll probably be a while before we choose to go back. Restaurant Week 2026 Overall, OUTSTANDING!!! First course: Bang Bang Shrimp: 2 very large shrimp in a most delightful sauce. Served with 2 extremely crispy crostini slices (very difficult to eat when you have no bottom teeth! I forgot to ask for untoasted bread). Second course: Apricot Glazed Salmon. Again, OUTSTANDING! Perfectly cooked tender salmon on top of perfectly mashed potatoes. The apricot glaze was absolutely delicious with a sprinkling of sprouts over the whole plate. Honestly, the coco-lime creama was also delicious but definitely not needed. The sautéed carrots were so under cooked that you almost couldn't stab them with your fork. That is my only complaint. Third course: chose the Brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The generous sized brownie was light with great depth of chocolate flavor. The scoop of ice cream was creamy with good vanilla flavor. Others in my party tried the Fried Green Beans, Sticky Pork Tenderloin (extremely tender & delicious - also had the same problem with the very undercooked carrots), Blueberry Cheesecake Whip & Spiced Carrot Cake. Outside of the carrots, everything was absolutely FABULOUS!!! Maggie provided outstanding service and the manager (we think he was the manager) also stopped by. We were told the wait was going to be 30 mins or so but we got seated within 10 mins. Came on a Saturday during time. Good weather to be seated out in the patio and enjoy the live music. The food here was the best meal we had during our short stay. Everything was delicious. Just be prepared for the wait for the food to come out. Don't skip this place when in CDA. 3/28/26 Called to make reservations at 2:20 pm for a 6pm dinner. Supposedly we were good, wrong ! Whoever took are reservation didn't confirm or make sure there was availability and we were told "Sorry" we can't accommodate you. Our choice was to wait for a table to open, which would have been over an hour wait. It's frustrating when you spend a lot of money at this place and they treat you like, Oh Well ! When I was visiting my family this past September, I went over there for one afternoon by myself and my iPad. I had lunch outside on the patio while drinking an Aperol spritz and reading my book and stayed over two hours. The staff was so nice & never made me feel like I was taking up a table. There is a limited selection of beers on tap with additional options in cans or bottles. There is also a comprehensive cocktail menu with a well stocked bar if preferred. Our table of three ordered mixed drinks Wanderer & Pineapple Mule & draft beer 805 Blond - all refreshing and delicious. This was our son's second visit & he raved about the Voodoo Bowl previously. We ordered the appetizer Bang Bang Shrimp; 5 jumbo shrimp perfectly cooked with a fantastic sauce, accompanied by crusty bread. The wife who eats GlutenFree was pleased with several choices & loved the Madeira Chicken with mashed potatoes & Asparagus. The other two of us ordered the Thai Peanut Bowls and assumed it was a warm dish similar to Pad Thai we've had elsewhere but by our own error overlooked the description which mentioned chilled noodles. The excellent servers Haley & Ashley were very willing to exchange them for another entree but since we felt we made the mistake we asked for more of the delicious Bang Bang sauce and the bowls with tender chicken & lots of fresh veggies & noodles was very good. The restaurant was very quaint and tables were not crowded together. The lighting and overall vibe was great. To our surprise the GenMgr, Nick, came to our table after being alerted by Haley that we declined different entrees. Nick was most personable & exceptional as host. He offered to comp the two bowls. We admitted we should have noted the 'chilled' word & said taking one meal off would even be more than generous but not necessary. This was our third time there, first two times were perfect! This time total opposite, our server Mary B was not the greatest. Firstly, she was rushing us to order drinks while we're trying to attach our daughters highchair to the table. When ordering she had no recollection of what consists on the kids menu. She didn't bother to mention what they didn't have available on the menu until after we had already placed our order. Another server filled our water. For food I got the caprese baguette sandwich, and only took two bites, she didn't bother to ask if I liked the sandwich until it was time to pay. I let her know I didn't like it, when she came back to the table she mentioned the manager had comped the sandwich NEVER once did a manager came to talk to me about the meal or how we were doing. Second experience here. Really bad service number one. Serve had little menu knowledge and drinks came out one at a time 5 to ten minutes apart for the table of 5. This was our second time in but brought first timers with us. The filet was described as an au jus herb butter sauce however this was an extremely salty demi that was almost inedible. The pot pie was very difficult to eat. The ribeye was good but the mashed potatoes were giving off leftover vibes. Hard and dry. Like to say maybe being a Sunday and new crew would explain it. She had great suggestions for entrees and I'm so glad we shared because we are a little older and just can' eat a huge plate of food anymore. We had the romaine wedge and it was amazing. Great overall experience @ Parallel 47 in Hayden, ID. First time patrons on a Thursday evening. We were lucky to snag the only available spot in the parking lot at the time. We then proceeded to the entryway and once seated, realized the bar area and restaurant were separate, but didn't mind sitting in the bar at a high top table with swivel seats. Our waiter was friendly, went through the menu, and suggested cocktails, etc. He seemed to be focused on our alcoholic drinks more and we had to remind him about my simple ice tea. The Roasted Beets were warm, savory, and had great toppings. It was disappointing to have only three slices of beet though... Our meals were very, very delicious and cooked to perfection. We expected them to be, as it was pricey and we surely would have been disappointed if our expectations were not met. We would consider dining here again when we're in the area and want to pay their high prices. read more

We had a very delicious melted cheese dish with bread to dip in and some delicious spritz wine. It was a beautiful evening out on the patio, feeling protected by the tall fence all the way around and the very polite and attentive wait staff were amazing.
