I have been to the Golden Corral Buffet and Grill quite a few times. Once it was on a holiday and I didn't feel like cooking. I guess a lot of other people felt that way too. There was a huge long line of people waiting to get in. We finally got to the front of the line and were serviced with paying the bill and received plates to eat on. We came in for dinner, and it was pretty hectic. I understand they were busy, but it felt a bit overwhelming. A good portion of the menu wasn't available, and several tables hadn't been cleared yet. Service was also slow especially when it came to refills. It took quite a while to get any attention, which made the experience a little frustrating. As for the food, I actually thought it was decent, though the rest of my family didn't feel the same. Overall, it might have just been an off night during a busy weekday. Yep, first off, the employees there tend to be very friendly and helpful. The place is kept clean, inc bathrooms. Seating is not real comfort oriented as I think they want you in and out so they can serve more people LOL. In our case and opinion, you really can't get a better meal for twice the price. We eat there primarily for the salad bar, the fried chicken, and the steak. The steak is surprisingly excellent. It is top sirloin that is usually tender with excellent grill flavor. But a new star has arisen. They are now grilling pork steak that rivals the beef. I had a piece for dessert! I am now adding it to my usual meal. Of course there are many other offerings that are good food. As with any buffet, the best time to go is when they are busy. I know many folks turn their nose up at an ayce buffet. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever witnessed! My sweet mother passed away and because we had so many people over. We called Golden corral to see if we can book the room for up to 100 people. Due to the weather, we had to make slight changes in time which we as good citizens would, called not one time but three times to make sure that the changes are OK and we were told that everything would be fine and everything will be accommodated. When we got to the actual restaurant, we were greeted by a crazy looking manager, that clearly was power tripping.. She literally was short rude and had zero customer service skills. The assistant manager was the sweetest person and try to save the situation.. after literally following every requirement that this manager demanded, she then proceeded to tell us that we have to tip her $149 because it's part of our "package" again saying all of this with absolutely zero understanding of any customer service. She looked like she ran out of a jail cell straight into this position of a manager. She should definitely not be a manager, and that assistant manager should have her job! The food was OK. She clearly talked about all of our party and we all felt it when we were getting the food.. I would never leave a bad review if this was just an OK situation, but this lady honestly made already a really bad day in my life even worse by having zero humility and understanding! Golden Corral needs to hire staff that has common sense and people skills... and to charge $149 tip should be an option if you get a crap customer service and paying over a grand for all your guests. read more

Golden Corral always has a solid array of food. And the breakfast buffet on the weekends is nice because you can get a large variety.

We don't have a Golden Corral where we live, so anytime we are near one out of town we go. It is really hit or miss , as it seems some locations are awful and some or amazing. This one was really impressive ! All the food was good and tasted fresh. The price was unbeatable. Staff was quick to clear our plates. Only bummer was we asked for cotton candy and the lady in the dessert section said she was alone and didn't have time to. We ended up waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time even though it wasn't busy AT ALL and there was no one in the back room. They never gave us a reason for the delay. I know not to expect a lot from a buffet, but it was beyond disappointing. There was so much that was out and weren't replenishing. The salad bar was almost empty and even when asked, it never got replenished. The dessert section had cookies, ice cream and a smashed pie. No spoons or clean bowls for the ice cream. I went through 5 plates before I found a clean one and then I used a Clorox wipe on it because I didn't trust it. Our server was great and friendly. We went here for lunch last week, curious how a buffet was handling the reopening. The remodel is beautiful! Love the new fireplace and the booths. The restaurant is light & bright. But have to agree with another reviewer that I was disappointed that almost all of the hot food was the same on both sides. One of my favorite things used to be the large variety of cooked vegetables they used to have. Seems like it's about half of what they used to have. Also, desserts are somewhat disappointing. It's nice to have things already dished up (banana pudding & chocolate dipped items) but not when they're dried out (cake & brownies). Also, the chocolate pudding was absolutely awful. When I first sat down I saw under my seat, a piece of leftover food on the ground and my knife was dirty and unsanitary. The service was good. When I first got my dinner the food was overall good, except the salad and sausage gravy. The salad was browning and didn't taste fresh. The gravy was cold and I had to mix it up when I went to have some gravy with my biscuits. Lastly for desert the ice cream was pretty good and the pecan pie was okay, but when I had the strawberry shortcake slushy it was to foamy and bubbly and had little to no ice in it mostly just bubbles. We came for a birthday party, when in line they instructed us to just go back to the party room since we had other people waiting (didn't ask us to pay) and then once we were back in the party room a very rude waitress named Anna came over and started freaking out because we didn't have a receipt. Come on, how can you not love this place? The food is actually good and pretty darn fresh for a buffet and the place is clean and updated since COVID. It's a great place for people watching because it's like the Walmart of the buffet and restaurant industry. There's some interesting people there. I see all these reviews about nasty and rude employees. I go there about twice a year and everyone is so darn friendly from the front counter girl to the waiters and waitresses to the cooking staff behind the steaks. And the steak! Their steak is pretty damn good. Always tender always juicy and those guys behind the grill actually do know what they're doing. I've got no problem with this place in for a buffet in Spokane, it's the best one to go to because the other buffet places totally suck and they're all dried out and nasty and no one can even understand you. Golden corral is pretty cool. What are you expecting? Waiters in tuxedos? Sure it's gotten a little expensive... Almost $20 per person but if you're a light eater, maybe you don't want to go here. The food wasn't the best. I've had much better food from this restaurant in the past. While in line to get food, a worker cut in front of me to get her food. I understand they have limited time to eat but to cut in front of a customer is wrong. If that's the normal, I will never come back or recommend this restaurant again. There was a lot of items that needed to be refilled in the salad bar and after watching a worker look at it, went and did something else instead of refilling salad dressing and other items. I'm very sad to see this restaurant be in this shape. Hopefully the dinner crew takes more pride in their job and makes sure there is ample food available.
