Its airport food i can't be too shocked. I went to Dallas and didn't have a chance to get bbq before leaving to i stopped here. Loved the bar seating almost felt like I wasn't in a busy airport. Our server was new and he was a delight he made us feel comfortable and really enjoyed talking to him. The more he stays the better he will be at tending a bar but he is still learning. The food was mid it wasn't bad and it wast great. I love fries and those were fresh and hot and hit the spot. I had the chopped brisket with the spicy BBQ. If you are like and you order something that says spicy that what you are looking for it was more sweet that anything. If you are looking for real BBQ this is not it but if you want something other than fast food in the airport this works.

This is airport BBQ at Dallas and I wanted to give it another try since it's been a long time and I wasn't feeling Moe's tonight. I agree with the general Yelp rating of 3. It is typical airport quality but if you are craving some heavy protein like I was, this does the job. I ordered the turkey and ribs. Turkey is very soft and the ribs a bit fatty. They sauce it up for you. The side selection is pretty good also. You also get a very generous thick slice of white bread to mop up all the sauce. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

I got a Texas Brisket Sandwich and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with their original sauce. Taking these on my flight to Washington DC. Bought at Dallas Love Field location. Sandwiches were dry and not tender. Not very smoky. They can do better. There are better BBQ places in Texas! Rating: 2 Stars

Quick plate grab of two meats and two sides: pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, and baked beans. The pulled pork was moist and tender, absolutely delicious. The chicken was decent but a little on the dry side. Both the mac and cheese and baked beans were excellent. Customer service was wonderful too, we asked for an extra plate to share, and they happily provided it. Overall, a much better choice than Whataburger, pizza, pasta, or Moe's Southwestern Grill at Dallas Love Field Airport.

3 item plate. 2x brisket, 1x pulled pork, side of mac n cheese, side of fried okra, white bread and bbq saucs

Was so excited to land in Texas and get a quick BBQ fix. I ordered the 3 item plate, briskets and pulled pork both were sadly dry and lacked seasoning... I had to down it in the sauce just to survive. I know the white bread wouldn't help my situation. Mac n cheese and fried okra tried their best, but it was only alright. Opening seating all around the food court area, some spots allow you charge your devices.

The chicken bone that was concealed within my chicken quesadilla.

Beware! I ordered 2 chicken quesadillas and while eating the chicken quesadilla in my hotel room I almost CHOKED TO DEATH because there was a large piece of bone concealed in my chicken quesadilla!! TERRIFIED!

Food was good. Brisket beans Mac n cheese and loaded baked potatoes all good. Service was quick but not friendly at all! The bruhs was clearly over it. Ambience is not a vibe no sitting music etc. just get your food and carry on to your gate lol.

We were at dallas love field on a layover and I thought breakfast would be a good idea. Dickey's has breakfast sandwiches. Well the guys just slopped the fillings on with no consistency. So one bite would be all bacon, another all egg. And the hash brown was cold and inedible. To top it off, the bread was rock hard on the corners. Don't bother stopping here. Try any other place.

Pulled pork baked potato. $21 with drink.

Traveling through the Dallas airport with a long layover so decided to grab lunch here. I ordered their giant pit smoked Baker with pulled pork. It was average size, certainly not giant. Had hardly any cheese on it and they didn't even have salt only pepper. The potato and my Diet Coke was $21. The baked potato was very overcooked. It almost tasted like it was a leftover from yesterday. It is 10:50 AM so it certainly is it because it's been sitting here all day. A bit of a disappointment.

I've eaten here a couple of times while passing through the airport. Often times, you'll find lots of patrons in line. Menu consists of many delicious items. I chose the loaded baked potato on and chicken sliders this video and both were tasty. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

I had brought my wife to Dallas for a visit and was insistent that she try the Terry Black's barbecue experience. All of the staff that we interacted with was great, I enjoyed the sides and the sausage and pork ribs. The brisket today just seemed very dry and boring. The biggest problem was as soon as I stepped out of my car in the parking lot, I was overcome with the smell of what I assume was the garbage cans from the comedy club that shares the back of the parking lot. Forget about smelling smoke and getting all excited about good barbecue. It was nearly enough to make us turn around and get back in the car. Grateful for the inside seating because if the only available option was to sit outside, I would not have sat there and eaten my food with the smell of that garbage coming across the parking lot.

We got brisket, sausage (both kinds), pork ribs, burnt ends, and 1 beef rib. Everything was delicious. The brisket was our favorite. The food was served cafeteria style and the seating reminded me of my high school lunchroom. I did not mind the setup; it was just unexpected. The first stop was at the pit master to choose the meat and I made sure to tell him it was my first visit. I got a juicy chopped brisket there. The next stop was where I chose my bread (I again mentioned that it was my first visit) and the person there recommended that I get the jalapeño bun and it was really good. It was not too spicy and added a nice flavor to the sandwich. He also suggested the street corn and the macaroni and cheese and I enjoyed those as well. I had a sprite fountain drink which did not taste that great so I got the sweet tea for my refill and that was really good. All the food was really good and there was plenty for me to take back to the hotel. I liked the fact that they had to-go containers and bags readily available so I didn't have to go back to the register to ask. I didn't try the peach cobbler until a couple days later but it was really good as well. I would definitely dine here if I am in Texas again and I highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone I spoke to was really nice and helpful throughout my visit. There were people walking around and checking on everyone and one disposed of my tray/trash while I was getting a refill and another brought the to-go container and bag to me since I did not see the spot where they were situated. Walking in the door into the dining full bar area,we were cheerfully greated by the bartend-ress on protocol. 48 hours into this review and I'm just at 3 paragraphs and deciding how long or not this is going to be. Texas barbecue is so dear to my heart I'm feeling an extensive review coming on. Let me finish this paragraph by mentioning a significant historical fact regarding bbq just a few blocks from here. " The" king of Dallas barbeque started not far from here. In 1935 Red Bryan started a BBQ business and became a legend. Passing the torch to his son Sonny Bryan who solidified the elevated smoking of brisket in Dallas. That era has passed and now.... We have a new movement. With the price of beef, personnel retention, operating expenses,it's gotta be one of the hardest operations in food service. But,Red,Sonny and others did it and the bar is raised for anyone else who expects you to patronize their establishment and pay today's prices. I was very disappointed in the brisket here. I should have taken it back but, wasn't in the mood. While the owners may be connected to Lockhart Texas BBQ royalty, you can't rest on your laurels. Let's give them some time to tweek the operation before we try again. At this time it's a no go.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

She is freaking awesome Food: 10/10 honestly my favorite bbq joint. From the meats to the sides and drinks. Community tea, so a nice stringer brew i like! Its rare to find a bbq joint that has delicious sides AND delish meats. Yummmmmm When you order sliced brisket they ask if you want moist (with fat) or lean. The poblano sausage (beef) is so good. Try their HG brisket quesadillas!!!! Brisket heavy and excellent for the price. I love all their sides. My fave is the bacon ranch potato salad. Their mac n cheese is really good but not my go to. Their corn mixed with the mac n cheese or potato salad is yummers too Listen, just do yourself a favor and "treat yo self" to Hurtado's. Dont walk, RUN out the door to get there

The Brisket and the sausage were really good. The ribs were a five out of ten in my opinion…read more Mexican Rice was super dry. The Ranch Potato Salad had the texture of mashed potatoes with Ranch Dressing all over it. "Terrible" They also loose a point for selling Pepsi instead of Coke products. Very overpriced for the amount of food you get. Do not recommend this restaurant.
