This is the second Waffle House I'd ever been to and it's just a solid spot to grab a bite at any hour of the day. They've got their own parking lot here and as always, the value for every item is undefeated. It costs like 3 bucks for a biscuit breakfast sandwich with meat, literally can't get that sort of bang for your buck anywhere else. In general, I'd avoid the grits; they're very clearly instant grits. Hash browns are super crunchy and delicious and their biscuit is nice and moist. The waffle here was less good than I remember, I wanted it to be a little crunchier on the outside, though once you have it with butter and syrup it'll still hit the spot. Also, be warned the sweet tea is s w e e t - it was sweeter than the coke at the table! The restaurant was pretty empty for a late lunch on a Wednesday, but service was a little slow. It do be a Waffle House. I was promised some crazy shit would happen but unfortunately I did not get to see a fight and unlike my friend I did not get called a chink by anyone. The food is surprisingly good, somehow my least favorite thing was the waffle though. The hashbrown bowl was probably my favorite because it was crunchy and came with cheese. Yes Waffle House!! I feel like their menu was super short. Like there was no chicken fried steak or steak and eggs. So we ordered the all star and the patty melt with a few drinks. I came in not really having any expectation of what this chain had to offer since it was my first time in Texas. At first I was a bit taken back on how much trash and food bits were on the floor in the kitchen and the tables. I was told that the dirtier the location, the better the food tastes, and man were they right! Their menu is pretty small and simple, I went with the cheesesteak melt combo along with the blueberry waffle. When I took my first bite of the sandwich, I was shocked at how good it was. Obviously toasted with a pound of butter but it was so worth it. The blueberry waffle was also surprisingly tasty - it was pretty simple yet hit all the cravings that I didn't even know I had. THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED & DISCRMINATION AGAINST A 3-YEAR-OLD. I grew up going to Waffle House and was excited about sharing their breakfast with my 3-year-old son who is blind & immobile as a victim of brain damage - because he LOVES food. I walked in ahead of my mother and son and asked a woman at Waffle House if there was anywhere specifically we should sit because we had a stroller and didn't want to be in their way. She pointed to the bar. I asked if there was a booth so we could interact with my son, she said "sit anywhere." Then we did. There were 3 other tables. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I told him we were ready to order. He said he had to take another order first. Okay. No problem. He seemed nice enough. The server came over and he waved at my son, and I smiled and said, "this is Waylon. He's blind and can't see you but he can hear you. What's your name?" He said, "Tony." I said, "Oh, Tony! Waylon - his name is Tony - like from West Side Story." He didn't reply or smile or even look at Waylon and we proceeded to order. In the middle of our order, he just left...and left us wondering. He went to get food and deliver to the other tables. My mom suggested "maybe he thought we were finished ordering?" So after Tony finished delivering food to the other table, I said nicely "oh, we just needed to finish our order". And he said with annoyance and without looking at us, "I have to deliver hot food." Okay again. Then he went to the kitchen and reached for the coffee pot like he was going to refill a table's coffee! He then heard more hot food was up and put the coffee pot down and went back into the kitchen. Keep in mind - there are 4 staff members back there at this time! He delivered the food and I thought surely after waiting for 10 minutes now, he'll take our order. Nope. He went back and got the coffee pots to go refill coffee cups on other tables We had not even gotten drinks or ordered. I said, "Can we PLEASE order? This is unreal." He ignored us. And continued to. I looked at my son who was actually enjoying these new sounds of Waffle House and wanted to cry. I realized what this was and it broke my heart. My mom saw I was about to go and said, "let's just go." And so we did, but not before I walked by and told him that I would be contacting the Waffle House media team because his service was deplorable. Not mention discriminat I knew we would experience this at some point. I just didn't think it would be at one of my favorite nostalgic Texas breakfast spots... I'm blown away by this location's service! Let me tell you why. I made the mistake of participating in March Madness Bracket Challenge and lost a bet, placing me in the predicament of completing the 24-Hour Waffle House Challenge. I started my morning off strong sitting at another location (Irving location right by the International Airport) but got kicked out after about 4 hours because I had been "sitting there too long without paying", and even when I offered to pay they refused to let me stay. Feeling defeated, I made my way to this location, hoping to eat my leftover waffles in peace. My experience was through the roof. Immediately when walking in, I was greeted with multiple lovely smiles. They sat me down at a booth (even though I was alone) and, after my explanation of the challenge, told me that I was welcome to stay as long as I liked. (I promised I would be willing to pay whenever and however often they liked!!!) I talked to Yashica, who is the most joyful and welcoming soul. I talked to Deterrilous, who was so personable and kind. And the manager was so friendly and asked me all about the challenge and made sure I was well taken care of! I feel like I made multiple new friends today and am so thankful for this experience, despite the misery of eating 12 waffles in a day. The area around here is also very nice! I felt completely safe the whole time and the staff is very good at contributing to that feeling. Will DEFINITELY be coming back and supporting them! :) read more

Surprisingly, Waffle House also has some of the nicest workers you'll ever find in the business, including this location. Sure, it's not brand new or sparkling clean, but they really try to give customers a great experience and I think they succeed. Thankfully this location wasn't far away from our room, and it wasn't super busy for the time we arrived. We're glad we came to this one. It was one of the best WH experiences I've had--ever--and I've had some great ones and some lousy ones over the years. The hashbrowns were seared nicely on the outside but fluffy inside; the waffles were the PERFECT golden color and fluffy as well; the additions mixed into my hashbrowns were generous; and the decaf coffee (I know, decaf is almost sacrilegious, but it's late...) was fresh! It's Saturday night and club has given us the "you don't have to go home, but you have to get the heck out of here" song. The crew needed to make a decision of where to eat. Of course we leave it to the drunkest member of the team, the birthday boy. He is dead set on...The Waffle House . I have had a deep hatred for this infamous breakfast chain for quite some time now. I was the sole non-supporter of this decision in the group and my ability to influence is limited between the hours of 2am - 8am. D put the address in her phone and we waited for our chariot to arrive. Our Lyft arrived. I was the designated front seat passenger as I have the jolliest personality in my friend circle and can make conversation with anyone. It is a give and a curse. This evening's chauffeur was Julian. Nicest driver I have met in life. He's a former who now works for FEMA who has love a for old school New York hip hop. His guilty pleasure though is listening to Migos. His only fault is he judged when I said I am a huge Britney Spears fan. You are not God sir. Take your judgements elsewhere. Finally we reach the dreaded destination. We say "ciao for now" to Julian and proceed into the Waffle House establishment. The place was packed. I was on sensory overload. I mean where are you going to find a more diverse group of people in one place? The hostess informed us there would be a 10-15 wait. There was so much people watching to had, the wait didn't even phase me. D had to remind SZA and I to fix our faces but we're just in awe of everything happening around us. We saw our table was almost ready. Then these chicks in bad life choice outfits walked over and sat our table. Before we could even think about comparing our hostess informed them of the proper seating procedures also know as wait your turn. After they went back to the waiting area, the hostess called us to our table. I had no idea what to order unlike the rest of my party who recited their go to orders when we were outside the club. Our waitress Kat starts taking our drink order when the drunken birthday boy makes his grand entrance. We had taken separate cars and he had to take a detour to his apartment first. This didn't cause any delays in our order placement as he recited his go to order immediately even in his drunken state. I put my order in last by just saying ditto to SZA's choice. B Boy tried to expedite our order by saying Stat at the end. Kat made clear he would get his food when it was ready. He then informed us he needed something immediately or he was going to be. Kat brought crackers and Sprite to help with the nausea . Unfortunately the cracker situation did not go well. Let's just say my water had to be replaced. B Boy decided toast relieve him of his ailments. Once again Kat saved the day by bringing toast and the jelly of his choosing. Soon the first phase of our meals had arrived. I got cheese eggs, grits, and bacon. Here was the moment of truth. I tried my eggs first and I'm not going to like they were really good. I was surprised they were legit eggs not the fake stuff. The grits were nice and buttery. I added some sugar just because of my taste preference. The bacon was on point as well. Then my Waffle came which I completely forgot I had ordered. I put the Waffle House spread and syrup on it and gave it a try. It tasted like a giant homemade eggo. Very could crunch on the outside and chewy on the inside. Everyone enjoyed their food as well. We have never had a worst experience with a restaurant ever! We visited on June 4, 2023. I arrived to Waffle House at 4am with my husband and some of my family members. This was my husband and I's first time visiting. When we arrived, we weren't allowed to sit inside and had to place our order through the window. There were two women on shift and a male cooking. We waited over an hour and half for our food just for them to deny us our food or a refund. We were not given a receipt after they took our order on a yellow notepad. The young lady named Angel was very rude when we asked for a refund since they said that they didn't have an order for us. We were told that we never ordered and therefore we could leave. There was also an older, Caucasian officer who told us that it didn't matter if we called the police they wouldn't do anything. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told there was no manager on duty. A few minutes later, the cook, who we were told name is Chris, said that he was the manager. He also said that he would not process us a refund. My husband and I are both general managers for restaurants. This level of customer service was completely unacceptable and a waste of our time. We are not native to Dallas but it definitely left a bad taste in our mouths'. read more

I go in and order the same 3/4 entrees and it taste the same everytime. Came here after a night out with my coworkers. We sat down and were approached by the RUDEST waitress in the entire establishment. She acted as if we were a burden to her slow ass night (bc nobody else was in the restaurant). We all ordered and our food came out. I started eating the bread and a friend of mine noticed it was MOLDED! Everyone then looked at their bread and every single piece was molded!! They can't be following food handler regulations if bread is able to sit back there long enough to become molded and they still serving it. I thought items were to be labeled so that the shelf life is known and they can determine when it should be thrown out. When we brought it to the servers attention it was like we had mad her even more mad Lmfaoo like we molded the bread ourselves. It was so confusing Bc we weren't rude to her, we weren't being extra. All our orders were fairly simple. Never had to continue to call her over besides the bread issue so like we were hella confused why her vibe was so negative towards us.
