I've had Dickey's down in Texas and wanted to introduce my family to them. Portions were good even on a family meal for take out. The only suggestion we had were for the potato salad. Needed just a bit more seasoning. Staff was friendly and helpful, the dinning area was super clean and food was even better than in Texas. After all how often do you hear an 8year old say "oh yea this the stuff! We are going back. " we have found a great BBQ place finally in Washington. read more

With Covid effecting many of the restaurants, We were looking for a bbq rib place opened on Tuesday in the Everett area. We've never been to Dickey's but they fit the bill. We got the BBQ rib dinner. Our sides were bbq beans and Mac & cheese and a roll. The whole meal was better than we expected! The ribs were wonderful, the sauce that went with it was perfect. Often the sides we order at a rib place aren't especially good. Our sides here were tasty. The Mac and cheese was creamy. Not dried out like we often find. Even the roll was so good, a little bit sweet. Dickey's will be our go to place in the future. So glad we found it! read more

ENOUGH NO MORE I spent the last three hours with a friend at Dickeys on 128th. I ordered a brisket with sides to go at the end of our visit. Once home and to my shock and surprise I find that a third of the brisket was fat with the remainder being two small slices. After spending nearly a hundred dollars between us a good tip polite and respectful to staff and then to be given remnants feels so disrespectful. This is the second time I've had issues with this particular Dickeys which kept me away for over a year. ENOUGH! Alright... This is not a good bbq spot, more like a jack in the box of bbq spots. Ribs are taken out of a heat lamp drawer wrapped in foil. Slightly spread with bbq sauce and given to you on a tray. Receipt comes out with a tip line... Alrighty then. How about the sign that says bus your own table. Overall, this is as far away from authentic delicious bbq you can get. I never post reviews so if I'm here that means it's for a good reason. Dickies in Everett is usually not that bad, but the last three visits it's like they don't even care what they are putting out. We just went today and the food was horrible. The meat was extremely cold, and the fried okra we had were not cooked all the way pretty much 40 dollars wasted. The other two times I went their food barely had the flavor like they did in the past. Also food was a bit sloppy. I was looking forward to this tonight after seeing all good reviews. Then our food arrived (we had it delivered). We ordered two meals Brisket & Ribs, They were so salty we ended up throwing it away. It was not edible at all. The only edible items were the Potato salad, and slaw. The side of Onion Tangles we terrible and tasted like they had cooked them in salted water before frying them then drenched them in more salt after they came out of the fryer. I love this place and would normally give it a 5 star, however, I've bragged about this place, took our son here last night for his first time, the manager was rude, the food didn't taste smoky and the amount was not worth it. Let me start off by stating that, although I've briefly lived in both Georgia and Texas, I did not "grow up" with the cultural heritage of BBQ in those locations. I have a buddy of mine that swears on a bible that it's not a proper pulled pork establishment if there isn't a bottle of vinegar on the table. That being said, I enjoy Dickey's ribs and many of their side dishes. I'll echo the surprise of other reviewers of the lack of hush puppies. Bait and Switch ... A rip off With the sandwiches you get a card and a stamp with each sandwich. The 10th space says "FREE BIG BARBECUE SANDWICH". But the manager wont give you the free sandwich unless you purchase a large drink. There is no where on the card where it says "Free sandwich with purchase". The manager says that the front of the card says "Each purchase must be valued at $5 or more". So, no free sandwich unless you spend $5? This is a classic "Bait and Switch" con! Pretty much can't beat this place with kids eat free on Sunday AND ice cream. Just had 2 meat plate and brisket and pulled pork were both very tender. Creamed spinach was a last minute decision and I was pleasantly surprised. Our almost 4 year old picky eater actually ate some of her turkey (with frequent reminders of ice cream ) and mac n cheese satisfied her kids palate. The food at dicks is good, but the service at this places sucks. We ordered over the phone and the woman let us decide how soon we wanted to pick it up. So we said ten minutes. Ten minutes later we came in to pick it up and it hasn't been started and no one knows what we are talking about. We would have been better off just ordering once we got there. We ordered Dickey's Catering for our son's graduation party. I spoke with two different people arranging and confirming our order, and both were extremely friendly and were aware of my order and quite helpful in finalizing the details. The food arrived hot and on time. The gentleman who delivered it was professional and very nice. He helped lay out the buffet in a sensible order. I could not have asked for better service. Everything tasted awesome, just like eating in the restaurant. We especially loved the chicken. So many guests asked me where the food came from, and everyone raved about how good it was. My wife and I went to Dickey's in Everette for the first time and we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the barbecue. Everything was moist and delicious. And that's what this is. The meats we tried were only okay; not great, but dry and lukewarm. The sides though, oh my goodness. What kind of crap? The "baked potato casserole" was dry mashed potatoes mixed with a little bacon bits, with green onions sprinkled on top and cheese that didn't melt because it was cold. The beans taste like the can they came out of. The coleslaw was exactly as they serve it at KFC. The green beans with bacon, were canned beans and no bacon to be found. Even the free soft serve tasted only of chemicals and no dairy. Please someone open a legitimate 'cue place around here! read more

Well, I'm from back east and let me tell you, we know our BBQ. Since coming to Seattle area, this is something we had resigned ourselves to just learn to live without because there doesn't seem to be a presence of it here. Sure, there is Famous Dave, but that's Mcdonald's like assembly line stuff, which can be hit or miss. Happened to drive past Dickeys on my way home and decided to double back and give it a try. From the outside, I expected a dive, but was a very pleasant surprise inside. Place was immaculate, the staff greeted us immediately and were very welcoming. Not having been here before, they were very patient with us as we looked over the menu trying to decide offering suggestions and recommendations. They even offered us samples of some of the sides as we asked questions. We got 3 of the 3 meal plates figuring to get a good sampling of everything this way. I also got a pound of the pulled pork to round it all out. After fighting traffic to get back home, we reheated everything, divided it up and dug in. Wow. The sides were fantastic, which is good because sometimes the sides just go along for the ride and mostly end up trashed or left to dry out in the fridge. Not these sides. They were all good and we had 6 of them. Then moving on to the stars of the show, the meats. We had brisket, pulled pork, ribs and smoked sausage. I started with the pulled pork which was very moist but needed just a bit more sauce because the outer parts of the pile had dried up a bit from travelling and reheating. Then I tasted the brisket, also very tasty. Since we were all sharing one portion of smoked sausage, I only took 2 slices on my plate, big mistake! It was just fantastic. This brings me to the ribs. After taking one bite of a rib, I realized immediately that I made an error in judgement by getting the extra pork and should have gotten extra ribs. The ribs were to die for delicious. We are absolutely going back again, Famous Dave, you have seen the last of us buddy. It's been a good run, no hard feelings, but you can find us at Dickeys from now on. Although I still am a sucker for that bread pudding at Famous Daves...I didn't look to see if desserts were offered at Dickeys, which I probably should have. Saw that this place finally opened so my friends, boyfriend and I decided to try it out for lunch. The first thing I noticed when I walked in is that most of the workers there are Asian which I found amusing, haha. I ordered a salad and my boyfriend ordered a two meat plate and we shared a drink. I was somewhat disappointed to find that they didn't have cornbread like Famous Dave's did, though. Total came to about $29 which was a little more than I expected it to be. The drink was a little pricey but it's probably because they had free refills. Anyways, they had three pots of BBQ sauces out. I got the sweet bbq sauce which was pretty good. It had a nice tangy taste to it which I enjoyed. The meat was tender and easy to chew. Not the best BBQ place but my stomach still enjoyed the food. This place has no right to taste so good. The only reason not to come here is if you don't like spicy food as some of their stuff will make you sweat and tear up a bit. But you get free ice cream next to the soft drinks to offset it at the end of the meal. read more
