    Hair in my food

If I could give zero stars I would. Found a hair in my food, gross but hey it happens. I tried to call the restaurant to explain what happened and somebody picked up the phone and was clearly having a verbal argument with somebody else in the store, and it took about over a minute for him to acknowledge he was on the phone with me. Very unprofessional will not be going here again.

My son waved about the place and asked me to go with him. We love loaded baked potatoes and he said theirs was amazing. We went on a Friday evening and service time from ordering to meal prep was very quick. I did not like the fact a bbq restaurant had meat pre sealed in plastic wrap. I thought it was odd, but no judgement. We split grilled wings and a loaded baked potato with brisket. The baked potato was very oily and I'm not sure why. It was as if they stored the potato in oil until they were ready to be served. The brisket was fatty. The wings were dry and flavorless. Overall, disappointing experience.

    Email of free delivery offer

Food was wonderful. Definitely should include little containers of the sauce with the order. We all like more barbecue sauce! Lol Medium size of a side of green beans really seemed like a regular size so my opinion is that $5.95 for that side was overpriced for what you receive. Reason for only 3 stars is because I was ordering after receiving an email that said FREE delivery. My order was almost $50 so I certainly ordered enough to make it worthwhile for them. Used the app to order, fairly straight forward, but had to click on Menufy (?) to get delivery, then it charged me $4.99 for delivery. I put that in my feedback that delivery was supposed to be free. Received an email from menufy stating that Dickey's currently has NO free delivery offers. Uh, that's wrong, I replied with a photo of the email from Dickey's stating free delivery. Smh. So all in all, I think I will go to the store and eat next time since I had to pay delivery and a decent tip on top of that as well.

Wow! Ordered through door dash. Missing multiple items. Called the manager and he made me repeat the order at least 4 times. Could not focus on the conversation at hand. He stated, "he could hear what we are saying." We were not saying anything at all!! He knew we were missing items and he suggested us to reach out to doordash because he could not do anything about it. Wow! That is awesome customer service. This happened at 1:15 on 2/11. The doordash app did not offer sauce choices or any additional details. I'm just still blown away by the manager. I

Eating the ribs like a beast!

Love this place! I don't care if it's a chain. It's too good to care! We all shared the ribs, turkey, spicy sausage, brisket, and pulled pork. Everything was delicious! My six and three year old wolfed down the ribs. They couldn't get enough. The sides were excellent was well...we had the mac n cheese, fries, green beans, and baked potato casserole. They were all good, but the casserole is something to definitely try ~ original and tasty. As far as the sauces, that is a personal preference. I found the sweet BBQ to be too sweet and the spicy BBQ lacking flavor. I liked the original BBQ. The staff here are great also. They all acted like they enjoyed being there, and were more than willing to recommend meats and sides. Try this place out!

Dickey's does NOT even compare to any of the other BBQ restaurants in Lexington. I tried the 3 meat platter and it was just the most average food. I had brisket, pork and turkey. The brisket was ok, but the pork was all dried up. I was excited for a new BBQ place to try, but skeptical because of it being a chain. Sure enough, it did not impress me at all. It's kind of dingy inside and no one greets you when you walk in. It took a long time for them to prepare our plates, and there was only one guy in front of us in line. It just doesn't measure up to what you'd expect a good BBQ place to be. They have free soft serve ice cream, but after eating the food, I didn't even bother to try the ice cream, I think it would be another disappointment.

    Good food.

Serving sizes are incredibly small. Food is good but way too expensive for the servings.

Southern Cookhouse features scratch-made dishes using local ingredients, a variety of burgers, pizzas, and classic Southern entrees. I started with the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo because I love soup and all soup-adjacent things. The gumbo had a good, rich flavor from the roux, with subtle heat and a sweet finish. The chicken had a nice flavor, a little saltiness, and it was tender. The Andouille sausage was cooked well and rounded out the flavor profile. The tomatoes and scallions added brightness and crunch. The rice had a few hard pieces, but overall it was good. I do want to mention that I did find a few chicken bones in the dish, just so people are aware. My wife tried the Dunwoody Cobb, made with Grilled chicken breast, boiled eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, and blue cheese crumbles, with spring mix tossed in Dijon vinaigrette. The lettuce was crunchy and fresh. The bacon had a great salt level, crunch, and crispiness. The avocado added a creamy richness to each bite, while the tomato's acidity cut through the Dijon mustard's sweet and bitter notes. The star of the show was the salty, nutty, creamy blue cheese crumbles, which meshed well with all the other components. The chicken was cooked well and had good flavor, but it was dry. While I avoided it, my wife said the boiled egg was well-cooked and added it to the salad. I had the Nashville Hot chicken, which comes with spicy pickles, coleslaw & mayo on slider rolls with potato salad. The potato salad was mustard-and-mayo-based. The potatoes were soft but still offered some texture. The mustard and mayo balanced each other and added flavor. There were eggs in the potato salad, but they blended into the background and did not stand out. The sweet pickle relish added crunch and texture without being overly sweet. I'm not sure if it was made in-house or from a container; it was good nonetheless. The slider was fresh, soft, and nicely toasted. The slaw was medium-chopped, with a great mayo ratio and a good sweetness, tasting fresh, crunchy, and creamy without being so rich as to drown out the vegetables or the chicken. The pickle was not spicy, but a thick-cut bread-and-butter type with a little sweetness and a velvety, buttery flavor. The chicken was juicy, tender, and cooked well. The Nashville-style spices were mild to medium, just enough to know it was there but not so overpowering that it was all you tasted. It was not overly oily either, which often plagues sandwiches of this type. The entire sandwich worked well together. Southern Cookhouse has a full menu, but some items do rotate or are seasonal. The bar is fully stocked, offering draft beer, tea, and soft drinks. They offer counter ordering, and the staff is very friendly. The Fat Man says that Southern Cookhouse & Bar is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.
