I didn't want to wait in the crazy line at a nearby spot, so I sauntered over to Dickey's. Parking was a breeze. The place is very casual with a small dining area and huge outdoor area in front. Felt very open. Now, Sam helped me. What a great vibe! Everyone is welcomed. They even had the sign out front cheering that philosophy on. Somehow, the hospitality made everything better. I had a brisket sandwich with mashed potatoes. It was great, and to my delight, even the mashed were potatoes great. At first I thought I'd want seconds, but it was the perfect sized meal. I wanted seconds still, but only because it was delicious, not because I was still hungry. Price wise, it felt like a lot. But after eating there, if felt like a value. read more

I want to give a big shout-out to Dickey's BBQ Pit and especially to Sam Srebnk for truly exceptional service. When I came in to order, I was especially looking forward to their potato salad (I love it!). Unfortunately, they were out of it that day. Sam was very apologetic and you could tell he genuinely felt bad--he could see the disappointment on my face. I decided to order the baked beans instead, which were also good. What really stood out to me was what happened next: when we got our meal, Sam went above and beyond. He found another side for me (I think he tracked one down in the back) and brought it over with sincere apologies. He didn't have to do that, but he clearly cares about his customers' experience. Later I found out that Sam is actually the owner--and honestly, it makes sense. He's the kind of person you'd want to be friends with. Friendly, caring, genuine, and someone who takes real pride in what he does. It's rare these days to see that level of personal attention and character in a business owner. If you're thinking of trying Dickey's, definitely do it. Not only is the food solid BBQ, but it's run by people who care about their customers. read more

Delicious okra. Can't find Okra many places outside the Midwest. I enjoyed everything about the okra. Also, got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious...Soft but toasty bun. I got to choose which kind of barbecue sauce I wanted on it... I decided that like either the original or the spicy... So I had alternating bites of each and it was yummy. Hubby got the two meat plate with the brisket and the jalapeño cheddar sausage... Sides were mac & cheese and barbecue beans & a roll. He enjoyed it all. I enjoyed the bites I sampled of his food too. The restaurant was cool in our hot desert temperatures... There weren't many people here on a Sunday... So if you want to come after church or something, probably some great conversations could be had as the restaurant wasn't loud at all. The guy who took our order also prepared the food... He was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll be back and maybe with some more friends. read more

Beyond dog food. I called the restaurant but the head tomato guy VM is full no doubt because of the ongoing land slide of complaints they are receiving about the utter crap food. Ordered half rack of ribs. Rescue dog I got today wouldn't eat them. He could smell the BONE ROT in my delicious rack of garbage..... er ..... ribs. You'll certainly get "the dick" in Dickey's with your hard earned money going to waste. A large 16 oz can of hormel chili is a wiser choice. read more

Worst Restaurant Experience Ever Dickey's Rancho Mirage 1/5/2025 We ordered curbside pickup, dressed in pajamas since we had no intention of going inside. Upon arrival, I called to inform them we were there. The "manager" answered and told us to come inside because he was the only one working the register. I explained we were in pajamas and had not planned to enter the restaurant. From our car, we could see three employees inside. Eventually, he came out with our order. I mentioned that if they couldn't honor curbside service, they shouldn't offer it. His response was, "Next time just come inside." When I questioned why curbside was an option if it wasn't reliable, he replied, "It just depends." When I asked for his name multiple times, he refused to provide it, repeatedly saying, "Don't worry about it." On the fourth request, he snapped, "I'm the manager. Fuck off!" We were stunned and incredibly disappointed. About 30 minutes later, as we were writing feedback to Dickey's corporate, he came back to apologize and gave his name. When I asked why he told us to "fuck off," he claimed I "got in his face," which was impossible since I never left the car and only said what I've shared here. He then added that his dad owns this Dickey's, saying, "Jack--he owns half this city," as if that excused his behavior. When I told him that meant nothing to me, he accused us of loitering, stating we were only allowed to park in the curbside area for 15 minutes. As I texted my feedback to Dickey's, I asked for his name again, as I'd forgotten it. His response? "I've already told you twice: Casey." He repeated that we were loitering. I told him I was finishing my feedback. I told him to call the police if he felt it necessary. He said, "I don't call the police. I handle it myself." This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience we've ever had, and we're both in our 60s. read more

We ordered a family pack for our sons 16th BDAY today. I noticed it was $78.99 online, so I looked for discount gift cards to purchase. I actually purchased $100.00 with Costco for $80.00, perfect! The selections consisted of the Brisket/Sliced, Pork Ribs and three sides. We opted for one Fries and two Mac & Cheese. Then, since I had extra monies I also added in two pulled pork sandwiches. The brisket did not come sliced, it came in chunks. The flavor was fine but the amount for the money was a rip. The sandwiches came plain, without the pickles or onions that the website represented. The only ultra positive was the service that Ariel provided. Dude was super helpful and communicative as he packed the order. The gentleman that prepared most of our package was obviously flustered, maybe he had a bad day. All in all, I could find one of our other jaunts for better BBQ. We were definitely disappointed. read more

Extremely disappointed again! My husband and I both ordered brisket sandwiches. Asked for them sliced and lean. They were sliced but such thick pieces, very fatty, way to salty and over seasoned and the meat was tough. We could not chew it and both sandwiches were unedible. These people don't have a clue how to make brisket the right way or how to slice it for sandwiches, definately not Texas brisket. To start off you walk into a very clean and friendly environment. You aren't rushed what so ever and then you get down to the good stuff. I had the brisket sandwich and a 1/4lb of jalapeño sausage and wow what a turn around of time and great fresh food. 3.5 stars. Our usual lunch delivery options (that have a variety of gluten free options for my hubby) have been getting boring so we decided to try Dickey's on DoorDash today. For a chain, it was better than expected. We each got a 2 Meat Plate. Usually I'm a brisket gal but I checked good ol' Yelp first. The brisket in other Yelpers' photos didn't look great but I saw some praise for the ribs. So I went with the pork ribs and Jalapeño Cheddar Kielbasa, with baked potato casserole and "bacon and onion green beans" as my sides plus -- for $1.99 extra -- a corn muffin instead of bread, and Carolina BBQ sauce. D had polish kielbasa sausage, pork burnt ends, potato casserole and jalapeño beans with spicy BBQ sauce. I enjoyed my meats. Ribs were the right call -- tender and flavorful even without sauce. Kielbasa was tasty. Neither dry at all. Green beans had no onions or pieces of bacon but definitely had the flavors. Baked potato casserole was good, would be even better with the top browned. D's jalapeño beans had a nice kick. Both sauces were really good. Corn muffin was just OK, comically small considering the upcharge. Good amount of food for a relatively decent price for CV. Overall nothing exceptional but solid. Good addition to the delivery rotation. read more

I bought this location in late April of 2019. Its been an adventure to say the least. There has been much learning to running a restaurant. The AC at our first table was blasting cold air right on us and the staff moved us right away with no issue at all. They were also incredibly kind to my youngest whose birthday we were celebrating. They surprised her with her favorite tiramisu and a candle which completely made her night. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

If you're anywhere else, you have to ask your server who never remembers the list. Seriously - is it that difficult to print and laminate a beer list? The cost to print and laminate is CHEAP and I GUARANTEE people would order more beer. It may feel like a small issue but it makes me irritated because it's easy / fixable and would drive business up. And, as the customer, it would be soooo much nicer/easier. Watch Bar Rescue if you get a chance :)

I have no idea what I/we did to annoy this woman just walking in the door but I/we did. And it took a very long time to even get a water, or waitperson or anything. Finally I caught the eye of one who said he's take care of us. Very nice waiter, g reat service. It may be a long time before I go there again. I almost stopped on our way out the door to ask why, what trespass did we commit, but she was no where to be seen. It's a shame I really like the food here and the staff is usually 100% on point but this really put a damper on our Mother's Day celebration. Today's lunch with family and friends was especially frustrating, and everyone left unhappy. The kids' sliders were burnt on both ends, and the chicken was overcooked and even contained a long hair. We were served appetizers without any plates and had to get up and ask for them ourselves. We also ordered three appetizers, but only two arrived. When we asked about the missing appetizer, we were told it would come out later because the other family in our party had ordered it. That explanation made no sense. Appetizers should be served together regardless of which members of the party ordered them. To make matters worse, when we requested separate checks, we were told the restaurant could not accommodate that request. We have dined here many times in the past and have never had an issue receiving separate checks, so this was surprising and frustrating. The waiter just gave us the option to split the check evenly on two cards which is not helpful since one family spent far less than the other. Apparently the food could be separated by family, but the bill could not. Service throughout the meal was poor. We were never offered additional cocktails or soft drink refills until we had already finished eating. Dirty plates sat on the table for an extended period of time, attracting multiple flies and creating an unpleasant dining experience. It's disappointing because this restaurant was once one of our favorites, but after two consecutive poor experiences, we're finding it difficult to justify returning.

They only have Pepsi products, so I went with water, which they refilled well. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and they had Hawaiian music playing. I'd come back to try lunch. The sandwiches and burgers coming out looked good.
