This is a beautiful restaurant & the food is great! The kids menu has all the usual hits--my kids happily dug into their pasta and burger. Adults ordered a mix of salad, nachos, and sandwiches which were all great. Love that they take reservations too, we'll be back!

Good tasting cauliflower sauce way too spicy!!

Well howdy there fellow yelpers!! Came into this place while visiting the desert as it looked good online and it was really close to our hotel. The space is new and open, and it looked like a clean establishment that was ready to handle some people. Service was good but let me tell you the water that they serve is absolutely terrible, tasted like straight chemicals. The waitress was friendly and took her order pretty fast and in no time the food was coming to the table which I appreciated. The cauliflower appetizer was good but the sauce that comes with it was extremely spicy and it's not even noted on the menu. I thought it was honey mustard and I took a bite and let me tell you this thing burned the mouth off of me. My son had the chicken tenders, which were actually pretty good ,juicy and fried well, and I opted for the bronco burger which honestly is the reason that this place is getting the four star review. This was a damn good burger in my opinion cooked well, very tasty and honestly was delicious. My wife ordered the black bean burger, which she said was good also and the fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. All in all good meal, good service .The one thing they really need to work on is that water !! I can't believe they serve that to people because it was one of the most terrible things that I've ever tasted. Come check this place out. Skip the water and get yourself a drink.

We were looking for somewhere to grab drinks n apps after a morning of shopping. I had seen this is a new location, I had been to the previous location twice and loved the food and aesthetics. For a Tuesday afternoon it was relatively quiet and I can't figure out "why?" Service, food and ambience was on point. Fast forward... on a Saturday evening decided to come back because of our previous experience was great days before, this place was lively. They had an amazing band playing, dancing the vibes were on point. Definitely come by and order the brisket fries they don't disappoint.

I went to happy hour today on the patio with my 92 year-old mom and my dog. Even though it was hot, it was quite lovely and shady. Our waiter, Javier was fantastic. Five stars for him and brussels sprouts. The taquitos were also quite tasty but for me the meat was a tad sweet. Javier explained that it's not regular Mexican food as you know it called southwestern cuisine. They cook the pork with bbq sauce which gives it a different flavor .I prefer my food on the savory side even though the brussels sprouts were a tad sweet.as well, I still loved them.. They had maple syrup on the side if you want to pour that on top. The guacamole was excellent quality, but for me and my mom, we like it spicier so for those of you that prefer non-spicy it's perfect. We will definitely be back and order other things on the menu as well as a repeat of those delicious brussels sprouts and hopefully we get Javier as our server again. They are lucky to have him.

After my last experience here, I honestly didn't expect to be writing a new review like this -- but we have to give credit where credit is due. The team at Cowboy Cantina reached out and invited us back, which we truly were shocked & greatly appreciated it. We decided to give it another shot, and I'm really glad we did because this time around was a completely different experience. From the moment we walked in, the service and atmosphere felt totally turned around. We were greeted warmly, checked on regularly, and actually felt like valued guests. This is the kind of effort that shows a restaurant really cares about improving and making things right! Our server, Isreal, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive without hovering, he was friendly, funny, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Drinks were refilled quickly, everything came out in great timing, and he made sure we had everything we needed the whole night. It honestly felt like the level of service you hope for when you go out to eat. The food itself was great and came out fresh and flavorful. You could tell there was real attention being paid this time, and it made a big difference in how enjoyable the meal was. One of the highlights of the night was the tableside dessert prepared by Jared. Not only was it delicious, but it was also entertaining to watch him put it together right there at the table. It added a fun, memorable touch to the meal and was the perfect way to end the night. This experience showed exactly how restaurants should handle things with their customers. Instead of ignoring feedback, they took it seriously, made the effort to improve, and invited us back to make it right. That kind of accountability and dedication to customer satisfaction goes a long way! We left genuinely impressed and happy we gave it another chance. If this visit is any indication of the direction they're heading, Cowboy Cantina is absolutely on the right track.

Dined in on a Saturday night for dinner. There weren't many customers, so it was pretty quiet, which meant the service was super quick. We ordered the Skinny Cowgirl and the Vaquero Mojito, and both were really good. We also tried the queso fundido, buffalo wings, and house seasoned wings, the wings were definitely our favorite of the night. We'd love to come back for brunch or special events! Thank you!

Had a great night here. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to our final bites. The food was delicious. We had the Cowboy Caesar with shrimp and the lime alfredo. Awesome! Special shout outs to Jessica and Bailey. They were great hostesses and waitresses. Live music was spectacular as well!

Have you opened new location at The River?

Hi! We are opening soon, only a few weeks to go. Can't wait to see you. Looking forward to it.

Do they have a full bar?

    Yes we do!

    Is the dress code casual?

Very casual what ever you want to wear

Happy hour daily? What are the times?

Here's a clueless guy who is probably reviewing elsewhere that the food never came and he sat at the cosmetic counter for an hour!

    Is there live country music?

Not when we dined there. Seems more like just an eating place only!

Since moving here some nine months ago I've eaten at a dozen or so. Some OK. Most very good, some great and even one awful. Guadalajara Café & Bar is an absolute stand out. It's my new go to spot. I knew I was in a good place when I saw how many people walked in and were clearly known to the staff as regulars. The decor is simple, clean and you can see the cooks working through the busy pass through. Plenty of parking. The chips are fresh, crispy and lightly salted. The salsa is outstanding with the right amount of heat. It was lunch time and I'm not much for alcohol so I didn't try any of the drink offerings this visit... next time! Between two of us we ordered the fish tacos which were excellent. Also had the chili relleno which, unless I'm mistaken was battered and fried when ordered, not left sitting waiting to be ordered, huge difference! And the sauce on the relleno was perfect. Also had the mole enchilada with it. Again, unless I'm mistaken the mole was made fresh in house and was the best I've had in a long time. The waitstaff was great efficient, attentive and made sure we were happy. And were they hustling! Busy place and they didn't miss a thing. Five stars across the board food, staff, venue... even pricing! To quote a famous movie line, "I'll be back" Sorry no photos, I was too busy eating LOL.

*Oceana's Breeze in the Desert*…read more The star of the night was the octopus appetizer. Best ever. Seriously. Fresh. Tender. Juicy. Succulent. The Hummus and Demi glaze was Fantastico. And so was our sweet and lovely waitress, Alo. She's attentive, friendly, charming and such a doll. Wifey told her "you're the best waitress we've had in the entire Coachella Valley. And I agree 100%. Wifey's hibiscus margarita was unique, flavorful and refreshing. She forget to tell them "no salt." But it all worked out for the better, because the salt & chili powder spice rim on the glass, kicked it up another notch. I sampled it with a couple sips and totally agree. I'm generally a h2o dude when I eat...and loved the glass water bottle left table-side. More restaurants need to offer this. All our food was outstanding. My Branzino/fish was excellent quality and prepared perfectly. But a little too much sauce for my liking. I prefer Branzino when it's grilled whole with a light sauce. The piccata style was prepared well and the texture too. The sauce was good but a little salty for me -- especially with all the capers, and would prefer a little more lemon flavor. The rice was overly salty and wifey mentioned it to me before I even had my first bite. She had the Bosa Verde and enjoyed it very much. We both happily cleaned our plates. The squash was perfect and paired well with our entrees. Free complementary birthday dessert for wifey was just okay. Though we appreciated the thought and celebratory gesture...it was prepared with way too much gelatin and was like thick tres leche milk jello...and with ice cream too on top -- diary overkill. The carmel sauce was right on the money. Perhaps the preparation is their take on this dessert? Next time, we're going to be all over that Carlata Cake we saw at one of the other tables. The service is top-tier & polished. Couldn't ask for better hospitality. Along with Alo, was Daniel (who I recognized from Salsas) and the bartender Alex, who both happily joined in on the action. Chef Oscar, also made his way to our table to say hello & Happy Birthday. And of course let's not forget the classy & gracious owner, Fernando, who we shared a wonderful conversation with. He's a sharp dressed man, with lots of restaurant and resort history in the Coachella Valley. The restaurant & bar decor is simple yet chic, elegant and cozy. The lighting & room temp was perfecto. And the chairs at our table were extremely comfortable -- which encouraged more enjoyment and lingering. I've read some reviews claiming the restaurant is very loud. We did not experience that. Thankfully. The octopus alone is enough to bring us back for a lite bite at the bar...and more dining experiences to sample more of the menu, for both lunches & dinners. Looking forward to trying their ahi tacos -- served only at lunch. My wife had her choice to dine at any restaurant she wanted for her birthday. Since we both love great fish, we narrowed it down to Oceana and their reputation. Thanks, Oceana...for making just another ordinary Birthday, more special, memorable and extraordinary. {{{Big~High~Five}}} Grandslam We're Fans
