I'm not exactly sure why my family and I don't come here more often. It is a little pricey, but the plates give you a lot of food. My wife likes the smoke stack plates/bowls. They are pretty inexpensive and she is barely able to finish them. Of the meats, I'd probably say the pulled pork or ribs are the best. The brisket can sometimes be a little dry and the sausages are just okay. The employees though are always soooo friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Went there yesterday for the first time and our order was: one meat platter, two meat platter and the baked potato and it was good.. my only complain was the food was a bit cold (the brisket) because the beans and the potatoes were nice and hot .. I'm not a big fan of Texas toast so I really wish they had corn bread service was good, the place was empty (we went at 4:15, so it makes sense) .. tables were dirty which I don't get.. Great food...when they have it. We ordered onion tangles (they've had them for years). Their response was, "We don't have those anymore. It's an all-new menu." The ice cream was not as creamy as I remember in Texas.
