I'm not exactly sure why my family and I don't come here more often. It is a little pricey, but the plates give you a lot of food. My wife likes the smoke stack plates/bowls. They are pretty inexpensive and she is barely able to finish them. Of the meats, I'd probably say the pulled pork or ribs are the best. The brisket can sometimes be a little dry and the sausages are just okay. The employees though are always soooo friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Definetly need to add this to the regular rotation read more

Went there yesterday for the first time and our order was: one meat platter, two meat platter and the baked potato and it was good.. my only complain was the food was a bit cold (the brisket) because the beans and the potatoes were nice and hot .. I'm not a big fan of Texas toast so I really wish they had corn bread service was good, the place was empty (we went at 4:15, so it makes sense) .. tables were dirty which I don't get.. I can see myself going back because overall it was good but it won't be my number one bbq place to go and that's because the corn bread! It's an essential to me when having bbq! read more

Then she said oh any ones ID will work I just need an ID. I had their Tuesday special, 3 ribs and two sides. The prices are good for barbecue, though I didn't find their specials large enough to be filling. So I also order two sliders. The ribs were great, a little dry, and one rib was only bone.. the BBQ sauce on the ribs was some of the best I've had. My wife got full before I did, but not THAT full! Always room for one more really good pork rib. * The fried okra and beans were as good as I've ever had at Dickeys. The ice cream was not as creamy as I remember in Texas. You might be better off learning how to Barbecue by watching youtube videos. This place is overpriced (given the mediocre quality), with so-so service, and food that is just OK. I have tried all the meats (Smoked Turkey, Sausage, Ribs, Brisket-chopped and sliced) and I have only been impressed by the Turkey, which is saying something since most good BBQ joints have either a signature ribs or brisket. The employees really seem like they don't give a crap sometimes and act like they don't want to be working. And then it was topped with your choice of meat, which was hot. I took it back to the manager, let him know the center was cold, and he looked at me like he couldn't care less, but said he would replace it. The next one came out a few minutes later with exactly the same problem. I took it back to him who, again looked at me like he couldn't care less and when I actually asked him "you don't even care do you?" He literally said "this has never happened before." Excuse me, it happened five minutes ago and I'm pretty sure it's a procedure at this point. The manager did not go to the cashier to help refund my money which I'm pretty sure was never refunded. Basically I just got charged for the next item I ordered, although the cashier did apply a coupon out of the goodness of her heart.. Looking online this appears to be standard operating procedure at R&R now. We will not be back.

It's a fairly large establishment, so I'm hoping business picks up considerably during the lunch and dinner rushes. Overall, the meal was decent, but it didn't quite live up to expectations. Our order included two Pulled Pork Sandwiches ($12.99 each), a Classic Burger ($16.99) with Pepper Jack Cheese ($1.00) and Onion Rings ($2.49), plus baked beans, jambalaya, and drinks. The total came to $66.55 before tip. The highlight of the meal was definitely the baked beans. They were flavorful, well-seasoned, and probably the best thing on the table. The pulled pork sandwiches were just okay. The pork seemed a little dry and somewhat overcooked, and the buns could definitely be upgraded. A better-quality bun would have gone a long way toward improving the sandwich. The onion rings were disappointing. They tasted overdone and didn't seem particularly fresh. They lacked the crisp, light texture I was hoping for. As for the service, it was not up to par. With no other customers in the restaurant, I expected a little more attentiveness and hospitality. The service wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't memorable in a positive way. In the end, Pat's Barbecue delivered an acceptable meal, but there were enough issues with the food quality and service that I can only give it 3 stars. If I'm back in the area, I might give it another try and see how it compares during a busier time of day, but based on this visit, it was simply average.
