Worst places of fast food ever. They loaded the BARE MINIMUM of protein compared to ANY other fast food place in Valley Fair Mall. I ordered a pork bowl and I had to force feed because sure the pork was alright but all I tasted was pure soy and simple carbs and after I finished, my stomach started to HURT. I dismissed it thinking since it was my first time having that kind of fast food, my stomach is getting used to it... no. Later in the night, I woke up needing to use the bathroom. I. do. Not. Kid. You. My feces looked like green sludge. It was as if i ate dark green dye with spoiled milk. I literally cultivated unknown bacteria inside of me from cupbop. Last time that happened, it was when I had the stomach flu. Sure, it was my first experience INSIDE of cupbop (I've ordered online previously and stopped because it became worse over time), but legit ANYTHING ELSE around the mall WILL BE BETTER THAN CUPBOP! Talking about inside, I guess cupbop has a nice area and it is spacious but besides that everything is mid. Osakas is my go to, like panda express but more better, with service being bright unlike cupbop where the employees seemed bland and depressed. I have been coming here for years and am not longer sure i want to come back . The price i paid, which I realized after I left, was 11.75 for each bop I bought (which has no extras, nor did the receipt show extras) and thats not what was posted. I don't know if this has happened multiple times over my visits but it did leave me reeling. I understand food costs have gone up, and frankly if the prices were shown I may not have gone in the first place (quality hs kind of dipped over the years) but at least i would be able to make an informed decision. read more

The service worker was rude and did not get our order correct. I had to correct them twice before I finally received what I thought was the right food. When I got home, I realized the order was still wrong, so I had to drive back again. They then gave me the correct order, but the chicken was very hard and seemed like it had been sitting for a while. If you like honey sweet chicken, it's a "go." CupBop is enjoying a business boost from SharkTank. All of their cups are good but I would be surprised if anybody claimed they were cravable. Chicken piece sizes are highly variable. The last few visits I have found them to be too large for the bowl concept. Regarding flavor, the sauces are all leaning hard to the sweet side. If you like honey, this gonna be you style chicken. I find it delicious for the first 3-4 bites and then too much toward the end (think Buddy the Elf putting syrup on his pasta). To cut the sweetness, I suggest you maximize the veggies in the bowl and ask for half the normal noodles. read more

A great place to get a satisfying meal. The concept is very simple, a bowl with fresh cooked rice, sweet noddles, cabbage, meat and sauce. I tried the Combo Bop, that has two meats. I chose tangy fried chicken and beef with the #2 sauce. The fried chicken was very crispy to perfection and the beef was very well cooked and seasoning. The #2 sauce was mild and tasty. All together make an amazing bowl. The employees were helpful and nice. Nathan prepared my bowl and explained the steps to me with more patience. The place was very clean. read more

To start points off for the outdoor garbage cans overflowing with trash but it wasn't stinky yet lol The staff are great. Really helpful and explained the menu. Be warned though that the sauces are mayonnaise based. Didn't find that out until one of the sauces got spread on my order of Rock Bop. My wonderful husband took my order and I got his since no sauces were on his yet. The house sauce is a bulgogi sauce. It's sweet and not mayonnaise based. We'll come back to try other stuff. I want to love Cupbop!! I really do!! But every time I go I'm a little disappointed and underwhelmed. This past visit I got the kko kko bop and it didn't come with rice. (I'm pretty sure it's supposed to come with rice...) So all of the sauce became a soupy mess at the bottom. The noodles and chicken were still good, but unfortunately that's about it. I'll most likely end up trying Cupbop again at some point, but I'm not sure it'll become a favorite anytime soon. read more

Cupbop has been one of our quarantine go-to restaurants and they haven't disappointed! They have a walk up window set up and we're even doing curbside delivery before. All of that and the fact that they deliver through a third party has made it very convenient to eat there! I order a level 5 spice with rice only and I love it! It's easily two meals too. The only inconsistency is their sauce and how much they put in the food. Sometimes it's not enough and when I ask for extra, it's too much. I loved cupbop food truck and when they finally started opening branches around I was really happy. I was kinda disappointed when I tried their in house for the first time though. I think their food quality went down compare to their food trucks. I thought having an actual location should have made the food better. I ordered the hot bop level 7. It's kinda funny the name because the food was cold. I would expect that at the food trucks, but the food truck served warmer food than the location. The beef was dried out and not appetizing at all. The rice was cold and hard...definitely old rice, or the rice wasn't cooked enough. I ate like half of it and didn't want more. The staff here wasn't as friendly as the food truck. Maybe they are going through a rough night? But I mean there was hardly anyone there when I went, so idk. People at the food truck serves long lines, but still have awesome cool energy. Am I comparing the food truck too much to the location? Well duh! The food truck set the standard! A lot of people like it still, but maybe physical location for me is not something I would consider cupbop for. I might just stick to ordering from their food truck. I had such high hopes. read more

We ordered the Rock Bop and K Bop and were displeased with both. The BBQ beef was tough and inedible, and the fried chicken was cold (and not plentiful like the rice and noodles). The noodles didn't have much flavor but the rice was sweet. Only a little bit of cabbage in it, not much. We both asked for everything just to try it how it supposed to be but I'm personally not a fan of spicy mayo so I wouldn't get that again, not marking it down for that though. It just wasn't what we were thinking of, it wasn't hot meat and hot noodles with sweet and spicy sauce, didn't hit any of the marks if you ask me. Reliably good Korean fair. I recommend the beef as the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) seems to always be dry and hard, but the glass noodles, vegetables and sauces work well together. Rice has been hit or miss for me--sometimes dry and crunchy and other times still moist, hot and soft. Prices are reasonable and the colors and table/chair combinations make it fresh bright and inviting. When I was there this past week the soda machine was down for the day, but they have a couple Korean soft drinks for sale that I think are good as well. read more

Everything here comes in a cup that seems to have the formula of rice, then lettuce, then noodles, then meat, then sauces. The place is new, and the staff very enthusiastic and helpful. The food was tasty, but not nearly as spicy as they indicated (I like it hot). It is definitely worth trying. I ordered the grilled (not fried) chicken, and the rest appears to be automatic right up to the sauces. The gal asked me how hot I liked things, and we settled on a 7. She then started putting all kinds of sauces over the top of the bowl. I have absolutely no idea what those were. I paid a modest charge, got my water cup, water from the fountain, and sat down... and then went back to get a form and sat down.. and then went back to get napkins and sat down.. I expected a little bite from the heat, but there was none. In a way, I think the sauces linda cancelled out what should have been a mix of flavors, but I found it all together a tasty meal. I don't usually eat everything, and especially I don't eat all the rice in a meal. But here there was sort of a mix of things on my fork with every bite, and I ended up eating and enjoying the whole bowl. I think it's worth coming back to try some of the other meats, and maybe less of a combination of sauces. Instead maybe add some sauce to one side, and different mix on the other side, to give the tongue a chance to go between flavors. At the end, I dumped my try in the trash can, but there was no place to put the tray. Maybe by the other door? So I walked it back to my table and left it there. Parking was tricky, and I ended up on the Main Street by the pet store. I'd probably give it 5 stars, if it was hotter and if there wasn't just one flavor to power through. Again, less smothering of the sauces and maybe dividing my bowl into one mix on half and another mix on the other half. Check it out. It's new. It apparently used to be a food truck. It is very hard to find good Asian food trucks in the area and Cupbop is a place i like to always go back for a quick bite. My favorites are HotBop and the ComboBop. The staff is friendly and they'll ask you the level of spiciness with 10 being the highest. In my experience, 7 or 8 is way too hot. 6 or 7 is about all right spicy. 4 is there is spicy but i can taste more sweetness. read more

I love Cupbop. I have always been a fan since I worked for them in a food truck. It was probably the best thing ever cos I got to eat the food and always had a meal to go. People always asked if I got tired of it? I sure did not. I always get just a koko bop, more rice, veggies and no noodles. Noodles aren't my cup of tea. & It's all about the sauce. Cos honestly if I just got the food no sauce it wouldn't be good. I usually get anywhere from 8-10. Sometimes they don't sauce it how I think would fit together so they always allow me to sauce it myself if I want. I love that and the friendly fast customer service. This place is incredible! I know there are a lot of mixed reviews on this company as a whole and the consistency of their product but I've never had one bad or underwhelming meal from them. It doesn't matter if I'm at their store in Rexburg, Idaho; their store in West Valley, or their stand they used to have at Rio Tinto Stadium, it has all be fantastic. This time around I got the Cupbop Combo with chicken and beef for the meats. I also got a side of Mandoo. The Cupbop Combo was phenomenal as always. I got a spice level 7 and it delivered just the right amount of heat. I also saw they now have Korean Style Fried Chicken and ask the worker if I could just try and piece and they added it on top of my bowl. Needless to say I will be trying the Ugly Pop Bop next time so I can have my whole bowl with Korean Fried Chicken. All the employees there were fantastic, super helpful and friendly! I've always seen this place near the mall and always wanted to try it. I finally got the chance, and it was decent. The food wasn't bad by any means, not mind blowing, but good. However, one of the employees was pretty horrible. I watched him try to get another customers attention. He started by saying "hello? Hey! " over and over, until it turned into yelling , snapping , and pointing and the customer ( who was standing 3 feet in front of him saying " hey YOU! Listen to me!l ". It was honestly hilarious to watch but soooo unprofessional. Had it happened to me it wouldn't have been so funny. Then, as the next customers in line, I was sure to pay attention to every word he said so I didn't get yelled at too lol. Even then, he was short and rude.
