This is the 1/4 pound of sliced beef and 1/4 of slice turkey, dont think so.
    Shane C.

This place has gone down hill. Not sure if management changed or what. Bought two meat plate from them today, Turkey and brisket, the portion looked like a child's plate. I called and spoke with the manager, asked him how much meat is supposed to be in the plate. He said total of half pound. I told him that someone must have messed up, this is not a half pound, he wanted to argue with me that I could not be right. I told him I am an ex butcher, I know what a half pound is. He still wants to argue with me. Let's say even if I was wrong and I am not, a manager should not act like this, talk about crazy services. I told him this, said never mind, will post me experience and never order from them again. Will try to attach a picture. Worse service and food in a while, used to order once a week or two from them, no more. See pic, I put the meat on a saucer. The saucer is sitting on regular size plate. The turkey strips look wide but they are thin. Those three small strips of brisket are supposed to be 1/4 pound, the Turkey strips supposed to be 1/4 pound, maybe both together are 1/4 pound. Btw chopped brisket is not sliced brisket.

There's always a welcome hello at the door, and they are happy to answer your questions. Be sure and check out their daily "specials" (posted), enticing you to try something NEW! It's not fancy inside, but it is clean, nostalgic, welcoming, and a little Texas for sure. It's a great place to pop in for lunch or even takeout for a party of any size! Our family LOVED it! The food is fresh, and served HOT! This time, we stopped in for lunch: the lean BBQ Brisket, potato salad, smoked beans, and THE BEST OKRA I've had in years! They don't make the okra ahead (like many places do), where it comes out soggy, they serve it fresh, crispy, and oh so good! It was ALL so delicious! There's a little condiment bar (serve yourself), and they bring your order to you. #Fresh #CookedJustRight #DownhomeAtmosphere #FamilyOwned #BestBBQ BOLD BBQ ... Getcha some! We ordered the two-meat plate, a BBQ sandwich, kids sliders, and several sides. The brisket and pulled pork were incredibly tender and literally melted in your mouth. Every side was delicious, but the fried okra and smoky beans were definite standouts. We also ordered a small peach cobbler for dessert, and it was rich, flavorful, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The portions were generous, everything traveled well for takeout, and the quality was outstanding. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Bold BBQ to anyone looking for fantastic barbecue!

I liked it alot! First off, I love waiters who know the menu. She gave lots of details to our questions. The bartender also amazing. They accommodated my daughter's request for a non-alcoholic, frozen pina colada, which she loved. The hibiscus herb margarita is something I want again and again. Food items we had and recommend: - the Mexican chopped salad with shrimp and guacamole - the loaded nachos with brisket - the brisket tacos I saw other reviewers complain about the brisket, but I wholeheartedly disagree- I thought the meat was tender and flavorful. We were too full for dessert, but we look forward to trying that out when we come next time!

We had a reservation for Saturday at 6:30 pm to celebrate Mother's Day, and the experience was…read moredisappointing from the moment we walked in. No one actually seated us -- we were just pointed toward a table. No menus were given. Cornbread was dropped off, still no menus. I eventually had to get up and grab them myself from the host stand. They apologized, but even then, they simply handed them to me instead of bringing them over. It wasn't busy, and I'm extremely patient -- I was a server for years -- but this was frustrating. It took about 10-15 minutes before anyone came by. Our server was friendly, but he didn't write anything down for our party of seven, and we ended up repeating our drink order. That should have been the first sign of how the rest of the night would go. We ordered the platter ($23), and the portion was surprisingly small: two BBQ meatballs, two mac and cheese bites, queso, and a tiny basket of chips. The food runner who dropped off the meals was rude, and the portion sizes overall were shockingly small for the price. The only dishes that felt worth ordering were the penne pasta and the pork chops. The short rib tasted great, but for $30, the portion was extremely underwhelming. When we ordered another round of drinks, mine was forgotten -- again, likely because nothing was written down. I had to let our server know it never arrived. He apologized and came back to say the bartender was busy and working on it. The bartender eventually brought it out personally. What really added to the disappointment was that the server noticed we had gifts and asked what we were celebrating -- but this was after we were already paying and packing up. I had noted on the reservation that we were celebrating Mother's Day, but even without that, it's something you typically acknowledge at the beginning of the meal, not at the very end. And based on other reviews I've read, this seems to be a pattern: instead of genuinely trying to fix issues, they either apologize in a way that feels empty or blame the customer for their experience. So I'm sure they'll have something to say about this review too. Can't wait for the response. Do better. Also, be aware -- because they do NOT mention this -- that parties of six or more are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. With the level of service we received, it felt unfair. If you're going to charge high prices, the service needs to reflect that. It didn't. We won't be returning. And honestly, the 1‑star reviews are accurate. Just prepare yourself. $400 dinner for lack luster experience ‍

I had $50 and told Don that give me whatever I could get for it. I got some of everything: sausage, lean brisket, spareribs, and my two favorites fatty brisket and the chicken (he only serves dark meat). The meat was not overly seasoned with just a hit of spice. I'm guessing salt, pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion, cayenne and maybe a little mustard powder. It had a strong smokey flavor so I'm guessing either mesquite or oak. I didn't get any sauce so I was bummed about that and some of the lean brisket was a little dry but it's definitely worth all the money. I got so much food and it was a pleasure just being there.
