We grabbed some burgers and quesadilla's on 2 separate occasions while staying at a Bay House in San Leon. The burgers were excellent with all sorts of extra toppings (toppings are extra but worth it). I liked the bacon cheese N jalapeno's and my wife liked bacon cheese N mushrooms. The home made fries are also good. And my wife said the Queso's were some of the best she's had anywhere and large, all you could eat. By the time you add the extras on the burgers, some might say they're a bit pricey but I'd say they are well worth for the quality. We'll be back.

Point being, the bun tasted very odd and almost stale, and the patty was very mushy and lacked flavor. The signature sauce was also unappetizing, with it being some sort of distant cousin of mustard or potentially a very odd Thousand Islands? I'm not sure if additional toppings would save this considering the unappealing foundation. It just left me very unfulfilled. The milkshakes on the other hand? Fantastic. Definitely the highlight. It was just as good as the last time I went. I haven't been to many other places that matches the quality of here. Could not recommend more. The service was great and they are very attentive. Cornbread: They came out with regular rolls but the cornbread was my favorite. It wasnt very sweet. It was more like a savory and warm cornbread muffin. It was pretty good though. Chicken fried chicken: As you can see from my picture, it is massive. The chicken breading is great and it is nice and crispy. The chicken breast was juicy and came out nice and hot. They put the gravy on the side so its perfect to dip. Mashed potatoes: The mashed potatoes were great. They are smooth with no skin or chunks inside. The gravy came on top which added great flavor. Mac and Cheese: My mac and cheese came out a little cold but it was alright. It wasn't extremely cheesy either, it just tasted a little plain for my taste. I wish it was more cheesy and warmer. Buttered corn: Speaks for itself. It's corn kernels and butter. Cant mess that up. Overall, very good food and you can tell lots of butter was put into every dish. So just beware if you don't like overly salty food!!!
