Not the best barbecue place I have been to, however it is still very good and filling! Food: I got the baked potato with brisket and it was delicious. The barbecue sauce was very good addition to this and the classic self serve side were of course a huge plus. The potato was so huge I definitely could not finish it, so I got left over which is the best. I also had the brownie for dessert which was extremely rich and good. Service and atmosphere: There is a little shop of to the side which is very Texas vibes. The workers were very kind and fast since this is a counter service place. The decor and atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a Texas barbecue spot. I have also been to other Big Horn's that have local bands playing which is a really cool experience. Overall, good filling place to get some barbecue!

I love this place and the atmosphere! The staff is super nice and welcoming! The food is also amazing! Definitely coming back!

Really, that was my welcome? The restaurant had a few customers for the early Saturday morning. I was sat at a table that was very wobbly. The server had to notice because she moved the table around before seating me. Really, all these empty tables and you sit me at the wobbly one. I ordered a hot tea and ice water. The water for the tea tasted like it came from the coffee pot. Restaurants need to learn not to use the same pot for hot water that is used for coffee. I get bad indigestion if I drink any amount of coffee. So much so I now state I am allergic to coffee. So restaurants, please stop mixing the pots without doing a deep cleaning. I also ordered "The Southerner". It has 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs over medium served on a split biscuit, covered with sausage gravy and a side of grits. I requested the gravy to be on the side. The eggs were cooked great, sausage patties also great. The biscuit they were on had an odd taste. Didn't taste like the biscuits were baked, maybe fried? That would probably explain the biscuit being tough. The sausage gravy was not good. The gravy was thin/runny with cut up pieces of the sausage patties, but it lacked the sausage flavor. The grits were also very soupy. I had pushed my full cup of hot tea to the edge of the table, the server either didn't notice or just didn't care. I was only asked once if I was needing anything else, and since she didn't ask about my full cup of tea, I wasn't going to say anything. When she came over to the table she asked if I needed anything, I stated No, I am done. She asked if I wanted my check, and I paid my tab. They do advertise Bloody Mary's and other breakfast cocktails but I didn't have any of those. The location is good, area outside for the kids to run and play. Seating outside also to watch the kids. I think I would only return to this place if I am invited out to brunch with my group of friends. Otherwise, would be a long while before I return, being hopeful things have improved.

They have an incredible selection of Bloody Mary's and they can even be customized with tons of toppings. I stuck with water this go around but ordered the Grown Up Grilled Cheese with fries. The toast was perfectly toasted and the ingredients on the grilled cheese made for a perfect brunch sandwich. Fries were super crispy and yummy too. This is a great spot for anyone who enjoys a good local spot with fresh menu options for sweet or savory preferences. Great atmosphere and nicely decorated. Highly recommend. Only reason for 4 stars is the wait staff was a bit all over the place but I'm sure it was just them trying to remain on top of providing a quick brunch service.

She was awesome. Everyone loved their food. I had the Big Breakfast again and had the same banana pecan pancakes I ordered during my last visit but this time I got jalapeno bacon as my protein and hashbrowns instead of grits. The bacon was SO GOOD and was full of jalapeno flavor but minus the spice. I could've eaten a couple more slices of that goodness. It was crispy, a tad bit burnt but again it was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I also made sure to get plenty of strawberry butter this time and I slathered it all over my pancake and biscuit. The kiddos had child's plates that included two mini pancakes, eggs and a choice of protein. My cousin had a hash that looked incredible and she said it was very tasty. I'll have to try it out one day if I can ever break myself away from the pancakes. Just like last time the amibiance was warm, cozy, family friendly and Christian themed. This just might be my fave breakfast spot. I absolutely love it.

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Mary the Manager never missed a beat - she was making it all happen and made it look effortless - with a smile on her face. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! I live in Woodlands Tx and will drive 60 miles again to eat at this place!

(Poached eggs are just not my thing). But, it was flavorful and better than I expected. The salmon was crispy in some places and flavorful all around. I asked for a quiet booth to be away from everyone and got exactly what I wanted. My waitress gave me space without disappearing. She checked in with me just enough. Good experience overall. Like nearly every establishment I've been to since moving here, it's one of those places I pass by a lot for years but would try eventually. Toasted Yolk from my understanding is an ideal place for the so-called most important meal of the day. Even on a Monday morning, it had a lot of diners. I was still able to get a table with Alli as my waitress. Browsing the menu, which Alli said was going to be changed, I noticed the breakfast tacos and immediately knew I had to have them. To wash them down, I got a caramel cold brew. The two tacos consisted of brisket, egg, and cheese sitting inside soft tortillas accompanied by a hash brown casserole, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The filling was tasty on its own, and the Pico de gallo kicked up the spicy intensity a few notches. I loved how the meat and egg was excessive to where to spilled from the tortilla, making it fun to scoop them up with a fork and knife. The casserole was fluffy goodness though a tad smaller than I expected. But nonetheless, the meal was top tier. I could go for it again in a future visit. Alli herself was really friendly. I appreciated her honesty about how the place was busy.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.
