I really enjoyed shopping at this store! I needed really good sneakers because I walk and exercise a lot and my sneakers I currently wear are wearing out. The store is huge but you are not left alone. Employees come to help. You ask for sizes and colors you like and they bring them to you. I must have had three bring me sizes and colors I wanted. They are very helpful and nice. I am so happy I came and I will return when in Salem NH. It's at the Rockingham Mall so theres plenty of parking. Lots of shops and some restaurants. It really is worth the trip. They have lots of sneakers to choose from, many brands which I found so helpful in making my choice. read more

Waited in line for 5 minutes cause only one person was taking customers and the customer had a whole book of coupons. Not a huge deal. Fiancé made a comment about how the wait was kind of stupid when there were 6 people in line behind us and 3 employees standing at a register folding clothes, which was fair. Employee responds "well maybe if you didn't come while we were closing!". It was 8:17 when we arrived in the checkout line and the store closes at 9:00. Didn't realize stores closed 45 minutes early these days but okay... Just unnecessarily rude. read more

Home sweet home... finally pats jerseys and a huge selection of them. This place is awesome but the prices points are a lil steep honestly.

This is a brand new Dick's Sporting Goods, which is located at the Mall at Rockingham Park on the upper level above the downsized Sears. The parking directly in front of Dick's is on the top level of the parking deck. This store is very spacious (one level store) which offers a vast selection of sporting goods, equipment, athletic apparel, outdoor gear, footwear, camping, fishing, and hunting items. I was here over the weekend for the Grand Opening celebration with giveaways, drawings, and a special appearance by Troy Brown. I was one of the first 100 customers in the door at the special 8am opening time and was given a mystery gift card, which was found to be valued at $20. There was plenty of staff here willing to assist customers. Dicks sent me a $10 off $25 purchase coupon in the mail for the new Salem Dick's, which I definitely will be using. The regular prices are slightly higher than other discount retailers and the sale prices here are very competitive. Dick's also offers very good coupons via Sunday flyers and mailings The Dick's Scorecard (loyalty program) allows you to earn points for reward certificates with each purchase. read more

Went to Dicks website to order special shoes and was directed to the Salem store which indicated they had 1 pair in stock. I clicked on pickup at store and proceeded to drive the 25 miles to Salem. After locating the internet sales area they had no record of my order and could/would not even try to look up the order number which I provided. The following day I was informed that there was a delay and would get my packaged delivered by Thursday. I did some tracking of this order through Dicks and FedEx and found that FedEx picked up my package in Portsmouth which was not indicated on Dicks tracking app. I will not use this business due to deceptive practices which caused me to go 50 miles (roundtrip) for nothing. You should not be selling something for pickup if you don't have it and putting it on your website that you do have it. read more

Went in on Black Friday to look at the golf stuff only to be greeted by these words by the golfing department associate, "Do you know anything about golf, and please be gentle with the gear." Then she was giving me nasty looks and I heard her say she was getting impatient. So I confronted her about how much of a poor associate for such a corporate retail business. She was firing back at me and said "if you're not going to buy anything, then doing waste my time." Sorry to say it but if dicks sporting goods is going to be pushy and have the attitude of "wasting their time". There is other sporting goods stores that will be more friendly and have more patience. I'm sure most of the associates are not stubborn and I'm sorry if I came off as a jerk. It's just that one lady ruined my experience and I'm not looking forward to shop there again. read more

Rude ass golf customer service. Asked if I could try a couple clubs and the old dude behind the counter just smiles and says "no". I said um ok it says on the sign we can demo the clubs. I went shopping for some clothes today and then I checked out I realized my purchase was priced wrong. After spending over $250.00 with them I was challenged on a pair of pants that where on the sales rack. I have never been so embarrassed. Was just in the store a few minutes ago. It's a huge store; I walked from the front to the back and up and down every aisle in the shoe department and then back to the front and out the door. Not a single employee acknowledged my presence, let alone ask if I needed any assistance. read more

I was only in for a gift card. It was fast and easy and no line. The sales person was excellent but I was turned off when she said the gift card covers were not in on time. It's not her fault but it's the Christmas season and her management let her down. The store is beautiful and well stocked. read more

I had a horrible customer service experience at this store today. It was the second time it was terrible, I should have learned the first time. I had purchased several items for my children and was attempting to watch the prices as they were rang at the register, because there are ALWAYS things that don't ring at the sale price. If anyone else has noticed, they point the register part that's supposed to show you what's ringing up at the ceiling so the customers can't see it. I think this is part of their plan to keep customers from knowing what's going on. After paying with my credit card, I stood at the register and reviewed the printed receipt, because it seemed high. I noticed that one or two of the "clearance" items were not marked down at all. They rang at full price. I showed the cashier and was told "you need to get back into line, at the other side of the store, because we don't do returns here". She had just rung me up, 30 seconds before. I trudged across the store with my bag full of stuff, waited in the other line for 15 minutes, and again explained the problem when I got to the front of the line. The teenager kind of mumbled something about how they had just checked the clearance rack and the prices were correct. He looked at me like I was crazy when I explained that the item was in fact from the clearance rack, and there were many identical items like it on that rack. Didn't offer to check, didn't call a manager over. I was actually embarrassed, as there was a long line and people were watching this exchange. I decided to return my entire order at that point. I just said please return everything, I'm very disappointed that this happens almost every time I come here. On the way out, I checked the clearance rack, and I was correct as there were like 20 of the items I had just attempted to purchase on that rack, marked "50 percent off lowest marked price". I was extremely satisfied with the customer service my sister and I received on 5/4/17 from Matt and Michael. They were super informative and helpful. We spent a good hour and a half with the two trying to find the best cleats for my sister. Although we did not find the exact size she needed. I found the sales person who sized my son up for a baseball glove to be fairly knowledgeable and very eager to help. When the cashier couldn't get the security tag off a pair of shorts we were buying, he gladly went and got another pair for us. read more
