    This store is located off of Barrett Parkway off of hwy 75. First this store is massive. I mean two story massive. It's also connected to the Field and Stream and I was told there are only 16 stores in the country like this so I feel all special now.... I came in today with my friend and her daughter. They were looking for some lacrosse gear and maybe some new sneakers. We met a couple of nice sales people here but I found the size of the store to be overwhelming. Its not a store I would shop in everyday but glad I came...

    Earl is the absolute most incredible employee that there ever was! So my sister recently purchased a kayak from Dick's and absolutely loves it. We went on the water a few times and it prompted me to want one too. I had forgotten, but she kept telling me to look for Earl to help out. Sadly Earl was not there when I went in, but the gentleman was helpful in that he let us know that the kayak I was looking at for a lower price was not very good, as many had returned it recently, and said it was worth for us to go to the higher priced one (and said he didn't make commission), but he wasn't able to really help bring down kayaks physically and it was kind of hard for me to do so myself. But I appreciated that he let me know, as I had read reviews online about that kayak in particular that had said the same thing, and I would have been mad if I had purchased it and realized after I got on the water that I hated it. Since I don't live close to this location that would have been a pain in the butt to return, and I appreciate the honesty. Anyway, I went back again because my brother wanted to get one too after my sister and I did, so I went to pick his out via facetime as he had to work and couldn't go. Although they are all the same kayak that we purchased, they all have unique colorings that are slightly different. While most people would think you are psychotic to want to bring out a bunch of kayaks to choose a slight variation of color, when I went Earl was there this last time, and he was so helpful in bringing down a handful of the kayaks so that I could look at them and FaceTime my brother to choose which one he wants. He understood that the slight variations were important to us. Then after all his help doing that, we realized that my brother had already paid online and they had already chosen my boat for curbside. We then went and looked at that boat and he let me inspect that one too before choosing the final one. Also, they didn't have the paddles in our size in store, so he let me know about the ones online and a local store that carried them as well. How honest! After I left, I was just so grateful in how absolutely helpful he was. He was kind, accommodating and shared some of the best customer service I had received from any retail store in years! When I got home my sister asked me if Earl helped me when I told her the story of this helpful man who didn't think I was nuts for looking at them all so closely, and she goes- that's Earl! That's the guy I kept telling you about! She told me she had the same experience with him, but that Earl was even MORE helpful to her in choosing her kayak! What a guy! Anyway, the service was just so good, I wanted to make sure to publicly thank him and my great service there. If you go to Dick's in Kennesaw, ask for Earl if you want the best service ever!

    It's been about maybe a week or two since I've been to Dick's Sporting Goods. And unfortunately I lost my receipt and don't know which one I was at. However I cannot get this man's name out of my head because he helped us so much and made our experience amazing!!! The employee named Earl helped me and my Significant other with kayaks. We had no clue how to kayak nor have we ever been. Earl described each kayak to us in detail told us the best places to go and even how to do it. Not to mention he was supposed to leave at 5:00 PM and stayed almost an entire hour over, possibly more,just to help us (ON MEMORIAL DAY). And he didn't even stop at just helping us choose which one to get he also helped us carry them to the truck and helped at checkout. His customer service and personality is out of this world. We just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts because this would've never happen without your expertise and amazing help overall!!! Hopefully we'll see you on the water soon and can thank you even more!!!! (Posting this on every dicks sporting goods near me cause he deserves to be recognized for the amazing job he did!)

They have 20x the inventory of mls stuff and literally 100 more options of styles/brands than their local competition. Additionally the staff is much more attentive and available. I came in for an…read moreexchange, placed my original items on the counter, I had to do that because the return had to add up to the total since they don't do refunds. While finalizing my purchase, another customer walked off with my bag. I called the store from the parking lot when I realized. The staff admitted they saw it on camera and was going to look for the person in the mall. Called me back and said he couldn't find them. I had to prompt him to ask how they were going rectify it. The "owner " is in the background and says tell her it's your birthday and you need to leave. The young man told me that and that the owner would call back. I asked was he calling me back immediately. He said yes and hung up. Well he never did and he wasn't going to. So I walked in. I met the owner in the store and he met me with aggravation. The owner, instead of offering help, accused me of "pressuring" him just because I needed the situation resolved immediately. I was leaving town for a game which was the whole reason I was there in the first place. It also seemed as though he was insinuating that I wasn't being honest. Telling me they gave me a bag and receipt. Which turn out it was only the new items not the original ones I didn't want to exchange. I remained calm but firm and just asked for basic accountability. Yet he kept tell me I needed to calm down and told me I was threatening him by telling him I was going to have to call the police if this wasn't handled. Sir, that's not a threat. That s what people do when people steal their things !!!! The owner tried to dismiss me, denied the obvious evidence, disregarded his own employee who looked at the footage and called another person to pull up the cameras because he didn't know how. The person over the phone saw the man take the bag. He argued with him saying he did ask that customer and he said "no" as if people don't lie!!!!! Only after the person over the phone doubled down that the bag was indeed taken and described the person did they finally admit the truth. He then asked me what items was I missing and I had to say.... You should start this conversation by offering an apology. No customer should be treated like they're a nuisance, especially when they're the one wronged. I had to witness the owner apologize to other customers about me, as if I was causing a scene when all I wanted was my belongings back. In the end, the footage confirmed exactly what I said all along. If I could have done a refund I would have taken every single item back ! If this store wants loyalty, they need to start by believing their customers and treating people with basic respect. I wouldn't wish this treatment on anyone. I will never spend a dime in this place ever again. I'll drive to Chattanooga to get my Tennessee gear from now on
