We worked with two gentlemen during our time at REI, both were fantastic. I wanted to share a specific shout-out to Nieve. Nieve spent substantial time with us to ensure that Paul was in the perfect boot, binding and the right ski for his level. Paul is an exceptional skier, who now lives in the Midwest with me, his average skier wife, after growing up in the ADK's and skiing every winter day of his life, when weather permitted, for 20 years. Nieve also fitted me for boats, bindings and skis too, for good measure, so I can ski with my husband and not be bothered with rentals. Nieve, thank you - you were a joy to work with and my mountain husband, who begrudgingly lives 9-months per year in the Midwest, is now a happy camper again. The Scaps.

The staff collectively assaulted and harassed me verbally for being a service dog user, and for criticizing the decline of REI. It's a leftwing business, which means that the "feelings" of the employees outweigh any and every other consideration. In fact, I asked for contact info to make a complaint, and while one employee was writing it down, another employee came along and tore up the paper! I left the store but had to go back in for something, and 8 store employees were viciously gossiping about me at the checkout area. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM REI EVER AGAIN!

They did not leave the leather backseat of my truck or even get unfolded yet, before I realized the sticker size was wrong and needed exchanged. I go back to the store 2 days later to exchange for a diff size when I realize there is also a rip in the leg. Like someone cut them while opening the box of clothes. They denied an exchange because a brand new pair of $100+ jeans were already ripped. Not worn, not washed, not unfolded. When you have garbage quality control I think you should keep your mouth shut and eat in and not pin it on a customer who spends thousands a year there on his family at your store.
