Great location but I miss sports authority. Seems like Dicks has higher prices and even on sale it's not that great of a deal. They still have a lot of better options than Big 5 across the street but the name brand items come with prices here. Great customer service and the store itself is very organized. They still have some good deals on shoes and cleats that are worth stoping in and way better selection. They layout is s molar to sports authority so you can find whatever your looking for pretty easy. They do have a larger selection of items in each area so your bound to find what your looking for. I came here to look at mountain bikes and to buy a stun gun for my wife. The website states they physically have them in stock. However the staff looked bewildered when I mentioned it lol. Instead of trying to find the stun gun that their inventory system states they have. I got here to buy my son some size 6Y shoes! I got to the shoe area and there was one guy helping, she pointed where the shoes were and said he would be here wit us. Never came. My son had to get another sales woman to help, we had 5 shoes he wanted to try there was only one of them in size 6. He tried that one and liked it. He told the lady to please give him the other pair so we could go pay. After 25 min wait, the lady was nowhere to be found and we still didn't have the other pair! It's a Monday at 4:54pm there is almost no one in the store! I would understand if they were busy! But they are not! My son has come back with another sales man after waiting 25 min for that other pair. And he is now in the back looking for the other pair! This sucks! Their customer service sucks! Went on a Sunday to buy a bike for my son. After a while in the store trying on some bikes, we made our choice and went to the register to pay. The cashier told us a safety check was needed on the bike. And oh no... the ONLY person who can do the safety check doesn't work today so we have to come back tomorrow... So we had to tell our son that he couldn't have his bike yet... how about doing the safety check BEFORE you put the bikes inside the store, for the kids to try??? If your bikes are unsafe, then don't let them inside the store without supervision (of the "certified" person of course...). That's just ridiculous. read more

This morning I went in to make a purchase because it's black Friday I went in with the mind of purchasing same ammunition, cleats and some camping gear. When I went to the counter to ask the young lady working the counter for sporting goods about ammunition she informed me that this area where is located & the store has a policy of doing finger printing to purchase ammunition. So that they know what you have, it is clearly that this store has fallen to liberal tendencies and because they can't go after your guns they're going after ammunition. I went here on Black Friday looking to buy a mountain bike advertised in their ad. I got to the store around 30 mins after the store opened on Black Friday and talked with one of their store associates in the bike section. I explained and pointed to which bike I wanted from their ad and the associate said that this particular bike hasn't been in stock for a couple of weeks. Huh??? Granted, I could understand if people already bought the quantity of bikes in stock as I got to the store 30 mins after it opened, but they didn't even have 1 of this bike in stock to purchase today. In addition, I went to their website looking to buy the bike and it is $200 more than the advertised price. However, you can't even buy on the website as it is an in-store offer only. Now, I have never shopped at Dick's Sporting Goods, but this experience has soured me to making any purchases here. How can you advertise a product in your ad and not even have one of it in your store. Horrible mismanagement on one of their most important retail days of the year. Finally, I don't know if this store is going to last very long in my opinion. I have seen this store go from Sportsmart to Gart Sports to Sports Authority and this will probably end the same like the names I listed previously. I was very pleased with my visit to this store. I was able to get a really good deal on hydration packs for my trip to Vegas for EDC. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Although a bit pushy to sign up people for their club membership. If you are very active then I would say sign up since some items can be very pricey. It was a sad day when Golfsmith (golfing equipment sales and service, clothing, lessons, and fitting) but the good new was that Golf Galaxy (owned by Dick's Sporting Goods) took over and by the wisdom of the company, the original staff was retained. Yeah! Dick's has a free-to-join "rewards program". Not only does Dick's have an excellent abundance of products and sales, but all purchases add to the rewards program bonus. Customer support is friendly, competent and a few times were able to help me with returns and gave me free shipping! They have been very good to this grandpa! When I checked out at this store and tried to use the $20 cash reward, the register said I have to spend $100 to get the $20 off. I showed her the reward email and told her that nowhere in the reward saying that I have to spend $100. But she refused to honor the $20 reward. I came back home, and could use the $20 reward online without spending $100 at all. They need more certified people on staff that can actually release firearms to you when you come to pick it up after the long 11 day waiting period. I shouldn't have to wait 45-1hr to wait for a manager to release my firearm because they are taking a lunch! I will never purchase another item from this store. I purchased a treadmill. The first delivery was a mess. The store loaded the wrong equipment on the truck. Next day The delivery guys came in and assembled the correct item a treadmill, NOT an elliptical, took the boxes and packaging and left. At the time of purchase, the model I liked was broken but, trusting the sales person I bought it on his recommendation. The machine is way too big for the area that I thought would accommodate it. I ended up Dizzy after about 4 minutes. I do other exercises from riding a bike to mini trampoline with not problem. I have a friend that states she gets very dizzy everytime she gets on a treadmill but, can walk 3 miles a day at a fast pace with no problems. I called the store and asked their return policy and was told 60 days with the original receipt. When I ask if the delivery people could pick it up and take back to the store for a fee, the nightmare began. A manager came on and proceeds to tell me once the unit is assembled it can't be returned?? NO ONE ever told me that upon purchase. She states that is store policy?? No other stores do that to their customers. I guess I should have bought it from Sears?? The item is brand new, delivery guys took the box and now I am STUCK with a machine that sits like Albatross in my home and I can only hope to maybe get 1/2 my money back on Craigslist. There was no compromise from the manager and she was not willing to budge even if I paid a restocking fee. Since the store sample is broken, why not take mine and put it on the floor??? I am beyond mad and will NEVER buy anything or recommend this store to anyone! If I would have been told the return policy on treadmills at the time of purchase, I would have NEVER bought it from this store. Wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Chris at this store who did an excellent job guiding us in buying the best running shoes for my daughter who was recently diagnosed with flat feet and is an athlete. He was patient, knowledgeable and kind. He even helped us find the right orthotics that could be placed inside the shoe. One hour later after trying different suggestions my daughter did find the shoes that worked best for her. She has been wearing them everyday for sports and is very happy with how well her feet are supported. read more

I brought my bike in for a tune-up and tube replacement, and while the staff members were all friendly the work I paid for was not completed before I was called in to pick up the bike. The breaks are now completely out of alignment. They do not line up with the rim and they screech even when they are not applied. The rear breaks are so lose that they can not effectively stop the bike. I will not be able to ride my bike until I readjust the breaks myself. I expected better for $70. read more

I've never been to a Dicks Sporting Good store until this one opened up recently (previously Sports Authority). Huge store with an ample selection of workout apparel, gears/accessories for all different kinds of sports/activities. The fitting room is also spacious and clean. Their shoe section is decent as well. So far, I haven't needed help from the employees for anything- usually I just come to browse or I know what I want to purchase already. But I've been asked by employees walking by asking if I need anything so it's always nice to be acknowledged and asked. Nice store overall. read more

After waiting even longer for one request, we were told that the staff member had gone on break - without telling us or asking someone else to take over.
