Yes and yes to these leggings! For some reason (perhaps because my phone is secretly recording my audio all the time), I get a ton of yoga legging ads on my feeds. These leggings are quality though- competing with the likes of lulu lemon. Love the designs and the colors, especially anything pink. The camouflage is less of a favorite of mine, but if it's pink it's cute. Pink or green camouflage, anything else looks weird. The pro-tip for this place is to NOT go on a weekend if you can avoid it- it can get pretty busy and if you're a purposeful shopper like me you'll want to get as far away from lines as possible. There are many, many competing legging brands to be honest, and it can feel overwhelming if you're just entering the legging world! Thank god, by the way, for allowing women to wear something this skin tight to workout (remember those bootcut style and flappy bell bottom style jeans of the 70s?). Here's a quick primer on the various biggest names in leggings in the bay area: Athleta. Reviewed here. There are a TON of locations and you can find these stores at pretty much any mall. Lulu lemon. One of the biggest names in leggings. They were originally made to be intended for yoga, and the sizes are notoriously small, so consider that when you're choosing yet another sweat-wicking pair. Nike. I know, I know, they're one of the biggest companies over many aspects of athletic wear. Their leggings are honestly such a disappointment, hence why I'm listing them here - they're a well-known brand yet they make the worst leggings ever! I'm talking baggy in all the wrong places, too thick for comfort, and running waistlines that don't seem to stay put!

Sadly I can't really review this place fully as we were thwarted by a closed door. Apparently they're not open on Easter. But I'm sure I'll be back! Parking is a pain though since it's a tiny lot with a lot of shops and restaurants. They're right across from Sweaty Betty which I didn't realize they had a store front here! Only those Palo Alto-ans would get these fancy brands...

    Swim top

I purchased a swimsuit on their website and feel I was misled. I ordered the size that I thought I needed which I thought was an adult size and it was a youth size. It was final sale but when I received it and found out it was a youth size not an adult size I reached out to them and they told me because it was a final sale item they could not do anything about the mistake. For a company as big as Athleta I would think they'd want to treat all customers with fairness. We're talking it was $40 and all I was asking for was a credit or exchange to buy an adult swimsuit. I was happy to send back the swimsuit they sent me. It's sad they want to loose a customer over this.

I've been shopping from the Athleta catalog for years, and have gradually bought fewer pieces from Gap and Banana Republic since the Athleta pieces were better made and suited my style better. I buy some of their athletic (bike, cardio, running) clothes, but mostly "adventure" clothes for day-to-day or hiking. Their clothes are a bit pricey, but I have been very happy with the quality and the attention to details. I am *thrilled* to now a have physical store to go to try things on - especially to get the fit right on pants and shorts. I attended the grand opening cocktail party, which was overwhelming crowded. Since then I came back to find some hiking shorts. The salespeople were incredibly helpful and I tried a ton on. I ended up falling in love with some pants but not finding any shorts that were perfect. They helped me order something online that they didn't carry in the store - shipping was free, and took only 3 business days (to my house). I wore the pants hiking and decided they were a bit too long. I brought them back and they measured out the length they needed to be hemmed and sent them in - for free! So this is as good as it gets: quality clothes with a great selection, free and fast shipping from their online catalog, and free tailoring. I haven't needed to return anything, but I saw other customers doing so who had no problems.

Lots of cute running outfits! Wow! I had no idea shopping for running outfits would be so much fun! :)) The staff were super helpful & friendly. It's as if I had my own personal shopping assistants. They made it fun & stress free for me, to find the perfect running attire for my upcoming race. Not only was the outfit functional, but it was also super cute & I feel completely comfortable & pretty wearing them. ;) I also love the fact that they have complimentary services, such as fitness classes. I'm definitely trying this in the near future. I was very excited about my new outfit, that I also wanted to see about running shoes. Although they don't carry running shoes, they were so nice to refer me to a place two stores down....how cool is that! I give Athleta five stars!!! Thank you! I will definitely come back. ;)

While I still like Cuyana products, the service in this location is disappointing. You're better off staying online if you can. The last time we were at the Stanford shopping center, we happened to see a sign outside Cuyana that said treats/drinks with Anton (Patisserie). So I excitedly thought why not drop in? We see a table at the back with several treats, and debate which ones to try. Just as I'm debating a second macaron to grab for my husband, the associate approaches us for the first time during our visit. She apparently was watching us from behind, visibly upset and worked up about how it's only ONE per person. Ok, chill, no need to speak like we're thieves or a nuisance -- especially because this is the first time you've bothered to interact with us at all during the visit without any acknowledgement or greeting upon us entering? Read the room. You obviously don't care about service but are worried about one too many treats for a couple of people just happy to be there and look around. Talk about being unwelcoming. What's the point of advertising treats when your customers don't even feel welcomed to enjoy them? And no we're not there "just for free stuff."

I was intrigued by them and thought we could use something similar for the empty space above our fireplace at home. I wanted to hang some kind of art other than a painting there, anyway. I did some research online and found similar art work on Etsy. However, I wasn't comfortable ordering online for something the size we wanted without seeing their actual work in person. When our daughter was in town at the end of March, we went to Terrain again to get her opinion and to discuss with the staff there in more detail before deciding to order a single custom art piece. We talked to one of their designers, Reid, about the different options, and told her our budget, the size, the wood pieces and decorative elements we liked. Reid was incredible and so easy to work with. She sent us photos of her beautiful initial design of the moss art base and some decorative options after about a week. After exchanging a couple emails and talking on the phone with her, we stopped by to look at some of the elements in person as we're in the area that day, anyway. We loved how Reid refined the piece based on our feedback, and always kept us posted on any changes in price estimates. The end result looked stunning! When we picked up the moss art, another staff took great care in finding a large box and wrapping it so that we could bring the piece back home safely. We really appreciated it. I signed up for Terrain text message and got a 10% off code. They honored it at the store, as well. Every time we're in the store, we always found something interesting to look at, and the staff were super friendly. It's been more than 6 months, and the moss art still looks great. We love it!

Instead of apologizing for the mistake or honoring the clearly marked price, Csar told us "we didn't tag it, customers could put a tag on it." I want to give a special shout-out to Teresa, the store manager, who made our first visit truly exceptional. My teen daughter was feeling shy and awkward walking in (shopping for jeans will do that), and let's be real - the last person she wanted style advice from was me. But Teresa was a total gem. She was friendly, approachable, and instantly put my daughter at ease. She listened carefully to what my daughter was looking for, then came back with a ton of great options. While my daughter was trying on jeans, Teresa even pulled some sale items for me (bonus points!). I honestly expected to walk out with maybe one thing, but we left with quite a haul - and it was 100% worth it. Teresa also let me know about Madewell's free alterations for rewards members, which I had somehow missed even though I've shopped there for years. The entire staff had Teresa's same energy - welcoming, enthusiastic, and genuinely helpful. Between the personalized service, quality of the clothes, and how good my daughter felt walking out, the experience was more than worth the money we spent. We need more shopping experiences like Madewell @ Stanford - where people make you feel good, not just about how you look, but how you're treated.

There were only two customers in the store at the time, so the lack of service was especially disappointing. Afterward, I followed up with my SA, who has always provided excellent service, and my concerns were escalated to management. Unfortunately, instead of taking accountability for how I was treated, Salvador responded with an email attempting to justify the behavior by implying the team was busy assisting others. That explanation simply did not reflect the reality of the situation. I responded respectfully, emphasizing that accountability matters and expressing hope that this could serve as a learning opportunity for the staff. I also clarified that my experience should not be attributed to high traffic when the store was clearly not busy. I never received a response. At this point, I question how thoroughly my complaint was actually reviewed. It feels easier for staff to claim they were occupied than to acknowledge poor customer service and address it honestly.
