They had a tiny area for Columbia and the North Face. Bummer because I enjoy The north face and Patagonia the best. I actually prefer to purchase items online since there's a bigger selection of what I look for. I thought the associates are friendly and acknowledged me which I can't say I get that very often. I made a return and it was easy to do. They also have curbside pickup as an option at this location which has come in handy for me in the past. Parking can be a little tricky because it is next to a Target and other busy businesses. This location is in a large, convenient shopping center that has a Starbucks, Banks, restaurants, fast food, gym and grocery stores. The DICK'S is located on the upper level. If you are on the lower level (Marshall's) you are on the wrong side. This confuses many people. read more

Not the largest selection I've seen in a Dick's but I'm happy it's there. Staff is mostly helpful but you get the occasional lackluster exchange at times. Coupons are nice and their promos are pretty good you just have to know where to find them (scroll to the bottom of the website and look for promos and deals). I have found $20 coupons in the past that the staff definitely won't tell you about but they'll honor if you find it on your own, they also do price matching if you ask so if you find an item for less add another retailer let them know and they will match up so the customer service is actually pretty good. Their curbside Pick up is really convenient and a good tool to use if you tend to be an impulse shopper. I've saved myself hundreds of dollars probably by using curbside. I went to DSG's golfing section to buy a 3-wood and was assisted by nice young man, Jacob. He politely explained DSG policy in which I could buy a club, try it to see if I liked it, and return for store credit if I wasn't satisfied. I asked Jacob a few questions and he provided me with two solid options. Jacob's first recommendation was my best choice and I bought a Cobra 3 wood with a nice cover. I really liked the club and it was on sale. After buying it, I took it to the local driving range and hit a long straight drive. I continued to practice and struck the ball long and straight about 8/10 times. With my new Cobra, I kept driving it so straight and long that I got kind of bored and put it away. Dick's might have a great selection, but unfortunately that's where the good ends. In my experience the selection is great, but the staff is sparse, unhelpful, and unfortunately quite rude. Customer Service is a big deal to me and many others, and if your one of those people, don't come. While there are definitely some good employees, I find that Dicks' customer service is pretty bad, and that ruins the store for me. A side note if you do decide to visit, there fitting rooms do close 30 minutes before they close. But generally I would recommend not coming until Dicks decides to fix there customer service. read more

Bad experience buying golf club set. I bought a set of clubs here about 36 hours ago. There weren't any golf associates in the store (i asked) so I went online to read the policy on returns and exchanges since I'm not a golfer and this was my first purchase at dicks. Dickssportinggoods.com states that there were no exclusions on returning items after trying then out except for custom orders or specific items: Baseball bats, helmets, things like that but no mention of golf clubs. There were also signs throughout the golf section that say "trade your current clubs for credit on new ones" with no small print or carve outs. Because of this i felt confident buying a set of clubs. I tried them out (they were labeled XL) but they were too short for me (6'1") so i put them away back in the package and took them back the next morning. First at the counter the cashier said they could accept them (i was open and honest that i used them but realized they were too short for me). He just had to ask someone about how to process it. The person he asked came to tell me that A: dick's website is wrong (he said this) and B: the sign on the sales floor was also wrong. Golf club sets were not included in any of those policies and were specifically excluded and i would not be allowed to return them. I asked to understand how the website and physical sign were wrong and they told me they just were. After asking to speak to a manager (I didn't, they just spoke to the employee over the radio and never spoke to me directly) I was told they would make a one time exception for store credit and lead me to a small sign BEHIND the counter in the golf section that read "90 day return policy" and about 5 bullets down in small print said "excludes sets" in parentheses. I had to lean over the sales counter to read it. I'm glad they gave me a store credit but after all this I feel pretty cheated and deceived. I'd rather not return to the store but I have to use my store credit I guess. read more

Don't let the look fool you. It's big but doesn't have as much as you'd expect. It would be great if they would increase inventory and have a variety of sizes. It seems there always out of stock or low on stock. Rarely is their a lot of customers yet there is always a line, not long lines but usually one cashier who is typically slow at their job. A young lady who was checking me out, horrible attitude and I asked for a size up on a shoe since I could not find it in the back. She told me to go back and find the other associate's for an another size... I'm not sure if I'm being dramatic but usually the cashier would be sincere enough to go grab it quickly. 3.5-4 stars If you time it right, you'll hit the jackpot when they have racks upon racks of clearance items! I came to pick up an online order and ended up spending a majority of the time combing through numerous clearance racks and left with 2 additional purchases. Store Pick-Up: One thing that I really dislike about online pick-up orders is that employees just pick something off of the shelf without giving you ones without blemishes or etc. The Nike USWNT practice balls were not only dirty, but one of them had odd yellow stains throughout the numerous panels. I don't even want to know what those yellow stains are... Normally I would inspect items before I leave the store but I had squandered too much time browsing the clearance sections. So when I got back to the office and was inspecting the merch, I noticed the dirtiness, the scratches, and the yellow stains. I called Dick's and it took over 20 minutes just to reach someone in that department and for them to check if there were any other available. He couldn't find anymore but I ended up ordering another 2 to pick-up in store, in case they would be gone before I could return to the store. Only one could be fulfilled and they cancelled the second order. I was promised a discount on the items when I could return the next day, if I were to keep them. I returned the next day to pick up my one in-store pick up and the manager helped me right away as he was just standing at the front of the store. He offered to clean off one of the balls as it was cleanable, while I returned the yellow stained ball. He was able to clean off the scuffs and etc from the first practice soccer ball. Very professional customer service on his part. When checking out at the register, the wait can take quite awhile. Usually with only 2 cashiers, it still takes quite a long time. Don't know if it's the system or etc... Overall, pretty pleasant experience every time I've stopped by and always, always check to see if they have any clearance sections. If only there was an option for 0 stars. I've visited more than once and have yet to have a pleasant experience. During my last visit, I went in looking to buy a treadmill and an elliptical machine. The employees that I interacted with were both terrible, one of them being the on-site manager. So I purchased a youth cup for my son online and tried returning in store because it was too clearly too small when I opened the packaging. The cashier immediately said they do not return cups due to sanitary concerns. I pulled out my return packing slip and said is this policy in store only or does it apply to online purchases as well. The cashier stated it was for online purchases as well as in store purchases. Once I pulled out my packing slip there was a form for returning and dicks specified I can return within 90 days. I told her it doesn't make sense that dicks would send me a return slip if I'm not able to return this product. I asked her to show me where on my online recipet or online does it say I cannot return a cup. Cashier couldn't show me anything stating this policy. She called a manager who also said no, when I asked to personally speak to the manager she said he was busy and I can shop around. I told her there's no point in shopping around until I know what's gonna happen with returning my cup. Then she looked irritated and just said she would do it this one time. Dicks needs to get it together. If there are certain things that cannot be returned...as customers all we ask is this policy is clear online as well as instore. Furthermore if employees are enforcing policies they should be able to show the customer where it states this. I did my own research online and there were no limitations as to what can be returned. I ended up buying an even more expensive cup. These things happen, for such a big company it shouldn't be a big deal otherwise the policy should be posted. Seems like the store is making up their own rules. Also sizing is really limited here. There wasn't any XL baseball practice shirts on an entire rounder. The other day I bought cleats and had to get a bigger size because there was no youth size 7s. The employee then tried to tell me youth sizes stop at 6, when I know this is a lie from having worked at Nike in the past. The store manager (woman) on Friday 6.12.2020 has horrible customer service does not go over and beyond for her customers that are spending over $300 on Yeti items. Had me and and the customer support rep over the phone jumping through hoops because they would not do an even exchange (same item) and waive a $3 tax difference after I drove an hour to get to the store. I was at the store and on the phone with a rep for an 1hr and 30mins. Very disappointed with the customer service here . Oringinally went in to purchase a Bosu Ball that I saw was on sale from the website... I walked around the entire HUGE store without anyone helping me . I wanted to try on some clothes and also had a question about their sale they were having. So I hit he button at the fitting room (which instructed me to do so and an employee would help me ) After about 5 min of waiting and still no sight of an employee around I let myself into the fitting room . as I was trying the clothes on I heard an employee walk over and TURN THE BUTTON OFF that notifies them that I need help! Didn't knock on the door or try to attempt to say anything to me , and by the time I threw clothes on she was long gone. . I wanted to purchase some items but ended up leaving them their bc they were unable to answer my question and that point I was over it and left my armful of clothes in the fitting room (I didn't know where to put it after trying on ) I roamed around a little more and found what I was looking for . The item is larger so I had some trouble carrying it. I was in the shoe Dept and FINALLY an employee was about to approach me ! Finally someone to help me out! He apologized for it ,and I didn't blame him bc he's the cashier .i asked if the blonde lady was the manager at the front talking and laughing . He said yes and He then apologized for her actions (which I told him he shouldn't have to since she was the store manager , she should have better control and awareness of her store ) Long story short DONT GO IN THERE EXPECTING SOMEONE TO BE HELPFUL Or GO OUT OF THEIR WAY. I was in the area, so I decided to check out the new Dick's Sporting Goods in the old Chick's Sporting Goods location. Apparently, Dick's bought Chick's last year, but only changed to Dick's on May 17th. Dick's seems to be your typical large sporting goods chain. They focus more on equipment. Chick's used to have more clothes in their stores. I'll keep an eye out for Dick's ads to see what type of items they put on sale and update my review when I see more. This review is for the golf department. I saw a set of irons on line at Dick's website so I called this local was the closest to home. I spoke to Vince in the Golf department and verified they had the set of clubs in stock. I personally visited Vince who's a PGA professional and use to work many years at the Friendly Hills Country club. He assisted me in trying various irons and had me hit balls on a simulator which measured my shot distance, ball roll and straightness. Vince was very knowledgeable about the fitting of clubs and did not try to up sale me clubs I didn't need. Vince advised me that Dick's Sporting Goods has been on the West Coast two years but they hire only PGA associates which was a real plus. Dick's even offers trade in credit on your older golf clubs and my credit was applied to my new set which saved me $100.00 I've played with my new irons several times now and I'm hitting the ball farther, higher and straighter! I was thoroughly impressed with my experience here and I'll return here for future golf club purchases. read more
