"Nice and friendly" is beyond an understatement when describing this gentleman. The General Store has so many snacks, I probably spent $60 on all the stuff I ate. I couldn't help myself. You won't be left hungry here. They do close early at 6 on though so use your time wisely! We stayed in Condo 2 and it was absolutely lovely. They even have pots, pans, silverware, dishes and mugs in the kitchen for you to use. Oh! We were so happy to see a griddle! The bathtub is also a jacuzzi! And they had little toiletries for you. Oh, and makeup remover wipes even! Talk about next level thinking! Everything hardware you need for a basic stay is there. It really felt like home. My husband and I are already talking about coming back before the end of the year. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Lance and Shannon!

The newish owners seem to relish dealing with the great unwashed travelling public...something I did in my own hospitality business for 15 years. A credit to them both and also their excellent staff. The entire experience was quiet, restful, and full of thoughtful touches. I can't recommend Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins enough. Comfy beds, spacious gorgeous river rock/slate type showers, well stocked keurig coffee machine, flat screen tv and very spacious room with king size bed. Easy check in at front desk. There's also complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate the front staff make by request. This is a very large gorgeous lodge with built in logs and granite/volcanic rocks throughout their property. You feel like you're in the middle of the woods in a log cabin, but you're not (lol). One of the best features is the serenade of birds over the speakers throughout the day. Tranquility is the word that comes to mind when you stay here. There was a very large group of homeschoolers for some type of retreat but they were all very well mannered and not rowdy at all in comparison to other experiences we have had with large kid groups staying in the same hotel as us. Would've been nice if there were more healthy options in their small store and the prices were hefty. We saw the prices and did not purchase. Absolutely appreciated the free water station. Overall this was a very nice comfy stay for us. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all. The price of the rooms were super comparable and worth the cost.

They have a "Chef's Table" that I thought would be nice since I am a single and you can watch them cook. Was told that would be 45 minutes to an hour, but their "Living Room" was available. Okay, sat there. Meal was very good, server nice and it is not her fault they tried to deliver food I didn't order to my table, clearly no Michelin star. Not the most comfortable table since more like a lounge, but okay. After dropping $230 on myself, what was annoying was the Chef's table was empty when I was leaving just like when I came in. WTF? Attitude from a hostess is not high class, graciousness is. In this area they failed.

What a blessing to be surprised by my husband for this lovely treat.

I booked through hotels.com and she was able to fix something I couldn't do through Hotels.com. It took her a while but she was super helpful and made it happen. That's always a good way to start a stay. We were in room 117 with 2 queen beds. 4 pillows each. Mattresses were comfortable. Pillows were a good mix of firm and medium. Sheets were soft. AC/Heat was great. Bathroom was very small. The door barely missed the toilet but it's fine. (:-) It's cramped but functional and I love the big huge bath counter outside the bathroom. Lots of space to spread out. So I'm not complaining at all. The big counter is way more important than the cramped potty room. The breakfast was a typical lower end continental breakfast plus PEELED hard boiled eggs and ONE waffle maker. It was ok for free. Get there early because it can be a long wait for a waffle. They DO have excellent yogurt in the fridge with milk so don't miss yogurt. We took several back to the room and then skipped the breakfast on the 2nd morning because breakfast closes at 9:30. Here's a fridge in the room so we had yogurt this morning. I don't need the sugar in the prepackaged muffins and breakfast rolls. If you find this review Helpful please VOTE!

The soaps in the showers were top quality and smelled lovely - Rooms were very quiet and the whole hotel had a luxurious feel. - The staff were INCREDIBLE! Special shout out to the front desk staff who helped out immensely. We did have to change rooms in the middle (our reservation, not the hotel's fault) and they made it seamless. - Extra special shout out to Richie in the valet service. All of the valet guys were incredible, quick and kind. - The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delicious and relatively affordable for the quality. - Wine hour (free wine from 5-6pm) was a nice touch to get our evenings going in the right direction. The wine wasn't the best but I can't complain about free wine and appetizers. - Our only criticism was the lack of water stations on the hotel floors. Not sure if we couldn't find them - they did have ice machines - but we did have to go back to the lobby and into the fitness room to fill our bottles. Not a bad thing, just a little inconvenient. Overall, an excellent stay and would recommend this location greatly!
