We rent here full time, the accommodations are fantastic! Water, Sewer and garbage are included in rent!

The camp host was yelling at me and my friends because we were going on a walk at night even though we were being quiet, there is also a camp quiet time from 10pm to 9am and at the fishing dock there is basically no fish's, and in the men's bathroom there was a frog hopping around, so I do not recommend this place for camping. read more

I don't think I could speak highly enough of this perfectly located medium sized Camp Ground! Located right off Lewis River Road there is quite a bit of parking for visitors up front. They have: - a Convenience Store with a diverse selection of goods including fishing gear! - 2 Gas Pumps - Air and Water - A Mail Box - Basketball Court - Showers/Restrooms - a clean pool - a Play Area - Dumpsters - Lots of spots including many with views of the Lewis River - Fishing for Catfish, Steelhead, and Trout - Hookups for small to medium size RVs and 5th Wheels - Peace - Friendly campers - quietness - An enclosed picnicking pavilion complete with Ping Pong Table - Fire Pits - The ability to live there if one chooses This really is the most complete Campground I've ever witnessed! If you're looking for a nice getaway then I highly recommend the Lewis River Campground. It gets you just enough away that you could easily escape or reenter general society! read more

This is a lovely place to live and many do. Rundown, weather beaten travel trailers occupy 3/4 of the spaces. Just to be honest although the surroundings are beautiful, this place creeped me out like something from a Stephen King novel. My husband used the bathroom there and said he felt "contaminated." My husband and I just moved from this RV park after spending 15 of the most horrendous months of our lives there. The only redeeming quality, which qualifies the park for its 1 star rating is the view of the Lewis River. Other than that, there is not one redeeming quality about this place. Be prepared for people partying every single night. The people I had the (mis)fortune of moving in next to me, put their radio outside and this was every night. When I talked the manager about it, she did nothing. These people are the reason we left and I left 7 cubic yards of organic potting soil sitting on the ground. The guy urinated in my container garden...I left the soil. I took photos of this guy dumping beer into my raised bed and the manager wouldn't even look at them...that's how interested they are in your comfort level at this RV park. You can have tangible proof of vandalism and they do not want to look at it. For 15 months, we were completely isolated without any form of television and, until Sept. 2014, with super sporadic internet. We finally brought in our own internet. The manager informed us that the park didn't consider the wifi as part of the space rent, even though their website states differently. Several times, our wifi was turned off and the manager said that she was contacted by the FBI regarding illegal movie downloading. It's not the FBI that contacts you, it's the FCC...but, I guess she had to throw out an acronym that intimidated people. She didn't like it when I told her that it wasn't true. We paid our rent, on time, every single month that we were there. It's rather high for a space considering you can't get TV, except in certain spots, and now the park doesn't include wifi. You even have to pay $25-$50 per kid, extra, depending on who you are. Some people pay a lesser rate depending on how much they schmooze the manager. The attic of the men's restroom is full of black mold. The roof is rotten and leaking. Every time that it rains, the light fixtures would fill with water and there would be a puddle on the floor. Rather than fix the roof and do some mold abatement, the owner let a guy, who was behind on his rent, put a big silver tarp over the roof. They didn't even cut holes to allow for ventilation...and all that septic gas can't go out now, it just sits there. The moisture from the showers is just going to feed an otherwise nasty mold problem. Cheers! Here's to your health! Oh, let's not forget that many, many nights, someone goes into the men's room and smears feces on the wall. Appetizing, huh? The trees are dangerous. They are beautiful, there's no denying that, but they are not safe. The park brought in tree services to give estimates, but that is far as it went. I heard that this is an every summer occurrence. One of those trees/limbs is going to come down and hurt or kill someone. What does management say? "We're not responsible." So, for 15 months, we tried to stick it out. Each day, it felt that we were in the twilight zone. I've never seen a park who allows so many of the its residents to work off the rent by raking leaves. Most would just say, "See ya!"...but not here! I was informed by the manager, back last spring, when I told her that I didn't think the FBI contacted her over the internet deal...it's the FCC...that I was going to leave an honest, on line review of the park. I was threatened with eviction and was told that the owner would file a lawsuit against me. Way to violate my right to free speech afforded to me by the First Amendment. I am not writing one thing about this park that is not the absolute truth and if people do not believe me, go waste (at the very least) $450 to find out that what I'm saying is right. Most parks thrive on repeat campers, but not here...those that leave run far and fast! I understand why I see reviews from people who camp complaining about people who are long-term, full timers. I assure them that not every one of us who lives long-term in an RV park is like that...some of us are just wanting to live the most peaceful and comfortable life that we can. It's not at the Lewis River RV Park, unfortunately. Complete and epic fail and if I could rate less than one star, I would! Don't camp here, go up the road to one of the PacificCorp campgrounds. Don't live here, there are many other decently run campgrounds in the area that you'll actually get what you pay for! Epic fail. read more

I give this park 2 stars because the river view is great! The dumpsters were all over flowing with trash sitting around on the ground and not at the end of the weekend, they were full on Friday until we left on Monday. The RV hookup is $35/nt for water and elec, no sewer, no internet, no cable and the space was barely big enough for our 20' trailer, we had to park our truck sideways by the fire pit and move it when we built a fire. Lots of live in campers and low life people around. The Woodland police came running through our site chasing 2 guys with guns drawn, next thing I hear is "if you run again I will shoot you" that was enough to tell me it was time to go home. Also a drunk woman who had hurt herself came stumbling in to our camp to show us her gross leg and ask if we thought she needed medical help. My thought was if you are in doubt then yes you do. read more

THE GOOD: This place is in a pretty setting in the forest. There is a beautiful view of the river. It has its own little corner store and gas station. There are many space choices. It has free Wi-Fi. It has its own restrooms and showers and laundry facility. The spaces are good size. They are not strict on age / condition of RV. They accept pets. They have a gazebo and child play area. There is no application fee or background checks. The space fee is very reasonable with a flat rate fee and no other costs. THE BAD: The prices in the corner store are extremely high, there is little variety, and the hours are short. The free Wi-Fi is only accessible if you have a space near the store. The laundry is locked with a wait list key system, key fee by the hour, and a deposit on the key. Two washers and two dryers. The washers are coin op. The spaces are good size, so everyone uses them for storage and the RV spaces look like hoarder dens. They do accept pets...but do not enforce the use of leashes so there are many dogs and cats running about. They do not seem to have a breed restriction on the dogs, so be aware of large aggressive breeds running around freely. There are many hook up spaces, but not all of them work properly. There is over flow parking for extra vehicles. There is no application fee but there is a $50.00 deposit for your space, that is, IF they can get the space free from people that have no paid rent and refuse to leave so you have to find another space. There is no background check...meaning there are some very questionable people and activities around you. THE UGLY: It is VERY LOUD HERE!!! There are a LOT of people here. Adults and Children, the old and the Young. The children run around, like the pets, freely, without supervision, yelling and screaming and causing havoc. Dogs barking day and night. There is a fair amount of dog poop on the grounds. There are people that play their music very loudly during the day and up until after midnight on some nights. There are many cars needing service, so they are serviced daily/nightly right in the spaces so be ready for a LOT of car revving and emissions smell. Many do not use the overflow parking, so the two car maximum per space usually means more and parking is difficult. The forest setting is great, until it rains, then there are huge puddles of water, some as large as mini lakes with a lot of flooding. They are not strict on the condition or age of an RV, so be prepared to get a whiff of some strange smells as you walk around the park as well as listing to peoples broken awnings bang on their RV in the wind all night long. Cell phone services are limited depending on provider. THE WTF: Not many people here seem to be employed. People walk about all hours of the day and night drinking alcohol. With the large amount of noise about, people tend to talk VERY LOUDLY over the noise using quite a bit of profanity and crude sexist commentary. There is one man in particular that walks around with both his hands down the front of his pant making the rounds of the park. There are people that drive through, stop for a few minutes at a random RV and then leave the park. There may be drug activity of some sort. The owner/manager does not live on site. There is an assistant manager, but he is very young and inexperienced and does not hold any real authority. There are random workers that show up at the store and on the grounds who are not very knowledgeable. If you broach another RV person due to a hazardous situation, one will be met with foul language, threats of violence, and constant harassment. If one complains at the store staff of anyone breaking any of the rules or complain of the noise, there is always some lame excuse to the reasons why they cannot enforce their own rules...basically it is a free for all. The owner, Pam, seems to be married to a "preacher" and they own a church. They really need to pray for a miracle for this park, because it is a boiler ready to explode if they do not remedy the situations here. Do NOT come here, do NOT recommend this place, it is NOT safe and it is NOT worth your sanity to save a few bucks. read more
