I had a good overall experience but the activities were not as fun as when I was a kid because the animal farm wasn't gated back then and the corn maze was bigger. Didier farms wasn't super busy during my visit but that may have been because of the hot weather. Fortunately that helped with short lines and the service was amazing! I got a corn dog and it was delicious though. I would recommend coming here with your family for fall fun.

This place is Apples. (I'd say Bananas but I'd be off theme). Just getting into the parking lot sucks. There's no one directing traffic. Making a left turn is almost impossible unless someone in the oncoming traffic takes pity on you. There's no traffic control in the parking lot either. And pedestrians have to use the same narrow lanes. You're almost guaranteed to drive over someone too. So stay sharp. All the food and activities are ridiculously expensive. $10 for an apple cider with whipped cream? Even with the expense, the lines for everything are also ridiculous. The employees are exhausted. One employee asked my wife 3 times if she wanted coffee or apple cider and kept immediately forgetting the response. Apologizing though. And letting us know how long they've been working this shift. The food isn't great either. Nothing seems fresh. We took a taffy apple home and it's mushy. Oh god. And the porta potties? Please don't go in there. You're not going to like going in there. But yet even with all this complaining we still had a good time. The petting zoo farm animals seemed happy. The corn maze is a legitimately tough maze through an entire corn field. My 8 year old had a blast. And buying pumpkins at the end of the day didn't feel like a ripoff. So if you need some fall activities this place has them. Just bring a lot of patience. And your wallet.

Love Didier farms! Our second year going for the pumpkin patch and animal farm. The pig race and those pig puns are the best!

COVID-19 Review- This is definitely the best of the local pumpkin patches (the carnival area is a patch, not a farm). You pick the pumpkins from a patch and not the vine; it is by far the best patch near Chicago. We arrived close to opening time on a Sunday, and there was enough space to distance socially outside. EVERYONE we saw was wearing a mask (thank you, fellow humans). Pros- *No entrance fee; pay as you go for the activities. *Offers various fall, farm items for purchase like pumpkins, taffy apples, apple cider (which was delicious!). *Parking Cons- I mean, the camels? Not really a mid-western animal (but that's my opinion). I will definitely go to Didier over the other two patches in the Northwest suburbs.

I liked the business model of this place where you can park and enter for free and then just pay as you go for certain things. Plus it's an easy in and out of you're looking to just do a few things or have little ones with potentially short attentions to focus. We went over Columbus Day weekend and they were busy, but it wasn't too packed. They have space for a pretty ample amount of parking and the walk to the entrance is pretty short. Once inside you can purchase tickets that translate into different rides or activities. Generally it seems like most things were $3 (rides, games) and $5 for rides on ponies or camels. They have a pretty decent spread of rides so it doesn't feel too crowded when you're in there. The ride audience would probably be for 3 - 8 year olds. What I liked about the a la carte method was that you didn't have to overpay for a bunch of stuff you wouldn't use. I think we netted out a little cheaper than if we went to a full price place where a bunch of things are included. Plus since a majority of things are rides it's expected that they be add-ons anyways. You can also put any unused tickets towards food items in their country store so there should be no reason to really waste your tickets. They had the usual type of selection of fall goodies and I found the food prices and quality to be pretty good. They also have a more dedicated area for hot foods as well that seemed to ha e higher quality offerings. The place isn't as huge and sprawling as some of the farms if you drive further out of Chicago, but this hit the spot perfectly and is not a far drive from Chicago. I would recommend for sure if you are looking for the fall carnival pumpkin type experience without going to one of the giant farms. If your kid(s) have a meltdown and you have to leave early, then didn't have to pay an entrance fee so another plus for that type of business model.

Last time I was in they had Beautiful dahlias, and great exotic flowers. Every time I go, I see things I've never seen before. I really like their herb selection as well as their pots. Each season it is fun to see what great stuff they have.

Fall has arrived, which means all the little munchkins are headed to Didier farms. With lots of little kid rides & games, an impressive pumpkin patch and sweets my almost 4 year old was in heaven. My almost 2 year old was a bit young for it all, but he's happy to be involved in any of his sisters activities. You can expect to go thru a lot of dough here. We blew thru $40 of tickets ($1 per ticket) in about an hour and it was mostly for one kid. The carnival type of food didn't look too appetizing (think corn dogs) so we stopped for lunch at once upon a grill on the way home, but we did share a few pumpkin and apple glazed donuts. I'm a fan of anything pumpkin (and think it should be on most menus year round), but in this case favored the apple glazed donuts. If you have little ones it's definitely a must to pay didier farms a visit once during the fall season, although if it was up to my daughter we would go every weekend.

A good time with a range of activities, but be prepared that you'll easily spend $50-$100 for two kids over the course of 90 minutes. Pretty expensive in my opinion. For example, the slide is $3 per person per side. So for my kids to go down twice was $12 for about 3 minutes of fun. I was planking to come back once or twice more this season but at $50-$100 a visit I doubt I will.

Ok to visit, but be ready to spend $25 every 15 minutes per child. Unreasonably overpriced.

In need of household goods, we made the trek and figured there was at least a few options available. We were wrong, this place is not a typical grocery store. It's a food emporium, with tons of aisles and plenty of choices. Was surprised they didn't have any manned stations (meat, deli, and fish usually have someone there with fresh products). This place just has more aisles. And while we might have one or two cases of a specific type of item, you got full aisles. And not just one aisle, but multiple. And many different brands and types. It's impressive to say the least. The discover only for card payments was a little weird. But not an issue since they take cash. Price was fairly reasonable as well. All-in-all, a fun trek for a mundane task. If you need to find a product, check woodsman's. They probably got it

I'm so glad I finally made it in!! The food was refreshing, and a much needed change from the typical "vegan junk food" restaurants you would find in the city (not hating on those places, but sometimes I prefer to walk out of a restaurant without a food baby). I loved that they even purify their water with different elements, such as crystals, to detoxify, and boost positivity. Seriously some awesome vibes in this place! They even have a grab and go section along with an entire wall filled with homemade soaps, knickknacks and what not. Service was phenomenal and anyone who complains about the portion sizes in their review should probably rethink how much they are consuming in one meal. I was plenty full after my meal, and it was the first time I had eaten all day. Pricing is on point for the food, especially since its fresh and organic ($48 for two meals and two drinks - no different than if you were to go to a regular restaurant to stuff your face with processed food and a glass of wine). I had the braised seitan that comes with the house mash and a salad, and I also ordered their Fountain of Youth juice (kale, apple, parsley, celery, ginger and lemon). My friend(non-veg) had the same meal, and a smoothie, and he loved his as well. Highly recommend even if you're not a veg! I will be back :)

I get that Farmer's Markets are also a great place to sell other specialty items but the vegetables are the main thing I'm looking for. Some of the vegetables looked sad and wilted already and I couldn't believe the prices they were still charging for them. I did buy some bratwurst from a meat vendor that was there and they had some good stuff available, but again it was pricey. I understand that vendors need to charge more for their items but spending way more than I would at grocery store for the same items is a turn-off for me. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I used to visit farmers markets in Iowa (Iowa City and Dubuque) and both of those were quite spectacular with a wide array of options. The best thing about this market was the fresh squeezed lemonade I bought. Thankfully the vendor offers $2.50 lifetime refills so I can buy something when I visit again.
