Lambs Farm is so much more than a petting zoo. Magnolia Cafe and Bakery are available. Services have grown with a garden store, thrift shop and country store. While serving the community, it serves families to introduce farm animals to our little ones, helping relieve fears to enjoy the blessings. Excited to see how the farm has grown. Looking forward to exploring more. Located just east of old Jamaica Gardens, now Green Oaks Senior Living.

I have heard some great stories about this farm, so I decided to give it a visit. The farm is family friendly and had some wonderful animals residing at it. We are allowed to feed the animals hay and pet them. The goats were especially greedy and grabbed a whole bag of hay from us with their teeth. But, they were funny and energetic. The horses were so friendly and allowed us to come pet them. Each animal had a fun story to read that tells everyone a little about who they are and how many years they have been on the planet. The farm closes at 4, so we did no get to sit down at their restaurant but we got a chance to purchase to go salads that were delicious! The homemade baked goods are scrumptious as well.

When in the neighborhood, no matter your age, be sure and stop by for a visit!!!!! Five dollars to tour the animal farm where the animals are beyond friendly...one dollar for a sack of hay to feed the entertaining beasts, a little extra for a relaxin train ride and a trip around on the carousel...it all adds up to $$ and time well spent!!! When you're finished at the farm, wash your hands well and head on over to the cafe for a delicious sandwich served up by some of the sweetest staff! The chips and fries are all freshly made. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've had! Don't eat and run; take a stroll through the thrift store and country market...bring yourself home a scrumptious treat. Got the kiddos with you? Let them play just outside on the playground while you shop. Run mostly by those who have been met with challenges in life but have pushed themselves to be overcomers; they are preciously sweet and friendly and eager to serve. Stop by and say hello!!!

I love stopping by the deli to get one of the chicken salads or pasta salads for a night at Ravinia or for an easy lunch. The store has great gourmet cheeses and meat/fish plus the best produce not from a farmer's market. I love going through the fruit and veggie area to see what's in season! The folks behind any of the counters are super helpful with preparation and meal complement ideas. My family has ordered the Thanksgiving special a few years running and it was probably the best Turkey we've had along with delicious sides. The store has a great layout and is super easy to get through when doing your weekly shopping. The freezer cases were also recently updated. Definitely a great local store worth frequenting!

One disappointment today however was getting the pre-marinaded steakhouse skirt steak from the meat department which had been a favorite for many years. Hadn't gotten it in a while, but decided to splurge for a special occasion today. At. 34.99 a pound it's a bit pricey, but has always been worth the higher pricing in the past. I'm not sure if the marinade was changed or what happened, but it was extremely salty. It was difficult to eat - very different than before. Sadly, Couldn't finish it.

I'm not sure if there's other international markets in this area that are really anywhere near as large (super huge stores like H-Mart, Assi, Seafood City, etc. are quite far from Mundelein). This store is truly impressive in the amount of options offered from hot food to produce to dried foods to foods from other local shops. Due to the size of the store, there is considerably more room to walk around and check out products here even where they're busy -- similar to the experience you'd get a Woodman's. The amount of decorations and displays is definitely much better here than most other grocery stores, rivaling Mariano's in terms of presentation. Prices are fair here, particularly for the international items which are competitively priced here compared to non-specialty stores. The produce is fresh and plentiful, with options for more unusual fruits and vegetables as well. At the end of the store, there's also a spot for dining and a few small shops. Overall worth a trip if you're looking for a one-stop-shop for all your grocery needs. This provides a comprehensive and enjoyable shopping expereince.

I can honestly say this meal was so fantastic. The flank steak was accompanied by teriyaki sauce and the woman working in the deli was so knowledgeable and helped with every single item that I chose. I mentioned to her that I needed several meals since I had been feeling dizzy for awhile and just didn't have the energy to cook anything. I walked away with Chicken Piccata, the Flank steak, roasted root vegetables, stuffed cabbage, and fettuccine with tomatoes and bacon. I had the flank steak and vegetables tonight and feel so much better. I am planning on having the stuffed cabbage for lunch tomorrow and will have the Fettuccine with tomatoes and bacon on Monday night. I order Home Chef so honestly I don't go grocery shopping too often. Plus I live in WI. I get so excited to visit my Mom and go to Heinen's since it is an exceptional grocery store. I used to frequent Sunset Foods when I lived in Lake Forest. Now that my Mom has moved I discovered Heinen's. The service, the food, and my experience was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that I wish they were open past 7 p.m. on a Sunday. I literally had to run in and gather my items and then run out.
