We were there for brunch. The food was amazing, best avocado toast I've ever had and my husband was more than impressed with his breakfast wrap. Service was great. Only issue was the warm coffee. Server brought us a new carafe and it was still just 'warm'. Maybe new carafes are in order? My friend and I came here to enjoy the music and energy but left upset and disappointed by the service. Dirty looks by the white security guy, dirty looks by the white bar staff, ignored and overlooked even after making eye contact. White patrons serviced before us even though we had been waiting patiently for a long time. The guy bartender saw us and even said hello to his friend right next to me but after serving everyone around us, kept looking over us and walked away. We weren't the only ones. The other group that included Asians that were waiting before us were being overlooked as well. We have gone there multiple times. Not once has the food been right or tasted correctly. Either it be the cook not knowing how to cook a rib eye at medium rare or a waitress not understanding what allergic to blue cheese means. Very disappointing service. I arrived about 6:15 to partake in Happy hour and saw several empty tables was told there would be a 10 minute wait. Nearly 25 minutes later we were seated at one of the many empty tables. During the wait I overheard other guests complaining about the lack of service but we still stuck it out. Long storey short we asked for waiter and by the time she arrived with a very cold and what appeard to be a fake apology Happy Hour was over. Very poor experience to a great sports bar. Not my first trip to Dierks, but probably my last. Had dinner tonight for my daughters 18th birthday, the food quality is poor and overpriced. I bit into a piece of the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, ice cold-not cooked to temperature. My prime rib dip was really tough, full of fat and gristle. My wife said hers was fine but did not finish. My daughters fries tasted awful, possibly old as the other fries were fine. Son's burger was fine, nothing special, like something you would get at Red Robin, $2.00 to add small strips of bacon is ridiculous. I am so disappointed with the service that my girlfriends and I experienced at this establishment last night. We arrived at 6pm with a group of ten girls for my birthday. The hostess said it would just be a couple minutes(which of course was fine we didn't have a reservation so we expected to wait) but that they were just cleaning off a table. About 15 mins later we asked how much longer and she said sorry we can't seat your party because we are rolling silverware and we have to have that in order to seat you! I was in literal shock. As a person in the restaurant service industry myself for 18 years I couldn't believe what was happening. The amount of money they lost with us standing up front when we could just be seated and order maybe a couple of rounds of drinks before we even needed the silverware for our food. Finally at 6:30 (30 mins later) we asked again and she then replied oh I'm sorry they are cleaning off a different table for you now. It was just wild. No manger ever came to the front to even address why the front of the house was still full with the same group of girls for 30 mins when there was PLENTY of tables ready to be sat. Once we were finally sat though I will say the server was very nice and did a great job so she saved the night for sure. I definitely don't recommend coming here for anything special or with a group wanting to have a nice dinner with friends and family. Was the DD for my husband and friends last night. As my husband goes to pay the tab I notice it's taking FOREVER. NBD it's busy and 2am everyone is probably closing out. I got up there to see what was going on and I can see the bartender with his card running it. Finally comes back over and says "Do you have another card, this one is declined?" Confused, I pull up my account because I know there's plenty of funds to cover the $66 tab as I'm handing her my card. That's when I notice she's already ran the card 6 times! (Well now 7 with my card) and his card was obviously declined because our account was flagged for fraud. At this point I get her attention, and let her know what happened and she has the audacity to ROLL HER EYES AT ME, and talk to me like I'm some drunk asshole without even so much as an apology. I live in Gilbert and have eaten at Dierks Bentley's twice. The 1st time the service was incredibly slow and the food was mediocre. It was when it first opened so I thought I would give it another try. My friends were in from out of town and wanted to try it. The service was even worse the second time. We waited forever to be seated and then waited at least 15 minutes before the waitress showed up. I was told that if you are not a man (who would tip well) don't bother going to Whiskey Row. The waitresses are extremely rude and impersonal and the food is not worth what you pay for it. It's too bad, I love Dierks Bentley's music and he is so generous and fun loving, his restaurant needs to reflect him! I'm sure he would be very disappointed in the Gilbert location. read more

We went to Dirk's Bentley Whiskey Row on Sat 3/29 to celebrate a birthday. There were 10 of us in the party, After being seated service was very slow getting drinks water etc. When the waitress took our food order there would be separate checks. More drinks were ordered after dinner she was told whose tab to put the drinks on. When she brought us the bill she had put all the drinks and food on one tab. We asked her to split the bill up. She did but it was wrong. The manager came and tried to straighten it out. He kept us there for 30 to 45 mins trying to get the bills correct. One of the people had ordered a drink and it never came during the time the bill was being corrected. The manager never offered us drinks, or offered to comp anything for the poor service and the length of time it took to figure out the tabs. Needless to say this sort of put a damper on the night as we were all very frustrated with the lack of service and the length of time it took to clear up the tab issue. Do NOT give this place your money. it is always a bad experience when we come but this one topped it all. My husband and I came for happy hour on a very slow tuesday at 6pm. we were handed the happy hour menu, glanced down at it and saw two cocktails that sounded great. One was $5 and the other was $7. typical happy hour price right? We then were charged 12 dollars for one of the cocktails and were told to "read the fine print" that stated that was a "friday happy hour menu" which was Extremely miss leading considering it is a Tuesday.... Anyways, The manager choose to do nothing about the fact that we were handed a menu and were irrefutably mislead. all i can say is, just make sure if you go here, to treat their menu like a contract with hidden fees. we won't ever be back, and we'll be steering every living breathing, human being we know away from this establishment. read more

The landscape of Gilbert has forever changed with Whiskey Row. I used to like Downtown Gilbert primarily as a place to go out and have nice dinner with friends and family. This is definitely not a place to take a family for dinner. I expected a younger crowd so went here with friends. First of all, 1/3 of the restaurant was blocked off for a private group. The bar was crowded and tables full, but why take away so many tables just for a private party on a busy evening? After finally flagging down a bartender to get drinks, we were able to enjoy standing only room around the bar. Every time a table opened up, younger kids would swarm to it. Had a table been available, we probably would have stayed to have some food. We went elsewhere. I like the idea of corn hole and string lights strewn around the venue. It's also easily any of the Downtown Gilbert parking lots. However, this seems to be geared strictly for a younger crowd which I am not a part of. I'll stick to the other side of Downtown Gilbert :) read more

Whiskey is the go-to party place in DT Gilbert, and they know that..so service isn't there. Especially late-night. A security guy tried to charge $40 per two males to enter ahead of the line (we've managed free/$5-$20 bucks for an entire group on numerous previous occasions with no difficulty on previous visits). We only inquired what the cost would be to cut the line, and he said that the line would take 30 minutes to an hour to get through, and our best bet was to pay up $80 bucks for 4 males to enter, and he was being 'generous' with that price. When I said to my group it was better to wait in line (I could see the line moving at a pretty good pace, much faster than what he claimed), he started to get rude..He saw my shirt, saw I was industry, and tried to talk down to me, telling me that if I was really industry then I would understand how it works, that he had bills to pay, and was very condescending to me. If there was ever a consideration to pay this guy a dollar to enter the building, after the degrading way he addressed me over a simple question/negotiation, I accepted that I would rather wait in line then help him "pay his bills". 5 minutes later waiting in line, we entered the building with no charge through another, very pleasant, security guard. I waved, just to let him know his estimate for the pace of the line was totally absurd. Whiskey, do you pay your security guards? Is there a reason that they are trying to hustle $20/male to enter the building? Does Whiskey Row approve of the style of treatment that this security guard offered guests intending to spend money? After the treatment I received from this employee, I won't be returning to Whiskey. I am not interested in funding this employee's lifestyle, or if he is really not being paid enough by Whiskey to "pay his bills", as he implied, then I don't have an interest in funding a corporation that pays their employees so poorly that they feel the need to scam paying customers before they even enter the building. This was a terrible experience. I was looking to have a good time after a long shift, and this security guard thought he could talk down to me, degrade me, and hustle me. The way he addressed me was inappropriate and unprofessional, to say the least. I certainly hope that he isn't talking to all females this way, or all guests-otherwise Whiskey will be losing business to the multiple competitors that are opening up throughout town. This type of behavior might have been acceptable when Whiskey was the only place in town, but times have changed, and there are plenty of other options for folks looking for a good time. read more

Just had lunch at whiskey row. There were only 12 people at the whole bar and the service was slow and terrible. Food - had the sliders. Bread was stale and the meat was overcooked and expensive for what you get. We were charged extra for some blue cheese crumbles on our buffalo chicken cauliflower which we didn't ask for. The crumbles were part of the food description. When we asked the bartender she said that the item was new and that's what they have to charge for. So much for happy hour. I'll start off with the positive. This place has a great atmosphere, it's huge, open, and there's plenty of seating and places to hangout. There's a covered open-air section with a stage for live music, and backyard games like corn hole, connect four and beer pong. It gets pretty toasty but as long as you stand in front of one of their giant industrial fans every so often, you'll be okay. There's a large parking lot in the back so parking shouldn't be too much of an issue. Now for the negative...they only seem to hire beautiful skinny girls under 25. Is that a negative? Well if you're a self-conscious 30-something year old woman surrounded by a bunch of dudes gawking and commenting at the half naked women... My waitress didn't seem to know anything about anything. We asked if they served "whiskey flights" and she didn't know what a "fight" was. We had to explain it to her. Turns out Whiskey Row does not serve whiskey flights. Seems like something they should offer. The guys in my group wanted to order "boilermakers" which is a shot of whiskey and a beer. The waitress could not tell us which beers paired well with whiskey. In addition, I ordered the pretzel platter, it was just one pretzel, not much of a platter. Everything was so overpriced, I could not believe it was as busy as it was. People must come for the atmosphere, aka, to stare a women. **Lastly, please put purse hooks in your women's bathroom stalls. I don't like having to hold my purse while I pee! read more
