We had a great experience. The drivers on both ends were very professional and nice. One driver met my son in Blain, WA to transport his car to his parents in Maryland. The tracking thing was not working but we received a call the day before from Floyd, the long hauler, letting us know when it would arrive. It came approximately 10 days. This was the shortest time of transporting a car across country for us. We had another hauler transport my car front CA to MD in 2005 and it took two weeks. That car sat in a lot in Ohio until they could find someone to go up and down the east coast. I don't think this is an easy business with diesel prices these days. It would have cost me way more to drive the car myself with hotels. read more

Other than factors outside of their control (i.e. weather and traffic) which delayed the pickup of my by a day, the whole thing went off reasonably smoothly. Communication was very regular and accurate. Everyone I worked with during pickup and drop off knew what they were doing. The only criticism I have is that I had to go through a broker to get this carrier assigned. I wish it was easier to contract with them directly, as the broker did everything "last minute" and bumped the price at the last minute instead of locking in a carrier when I signed the contract. If the carrier made it easier to find them directly I think the plans could have been locked in ahead of time and it would have reduced the cost to me because there would not have been a middleman. I would definitely work with Diesel Auto Express again. read more

I have to confirm that Anthony and his team were very professional. An agreement was ordered to transport 2 of my vehicles from CA to TX. They arrived right on time as promised. Did a full inspection of both my vehicles, were loaded up with precision and taken away. Anthony kept in contact to assure me of a certain delivery date and time and as promised, the vehicles showed up to my destination in TX. The cars were unloaded once again with precision and carefully parked on the driveway. The vehicles were both delivered just as they were picked up with the exception of 1 vehicle who took all the bug action. However, nothing that can't be cleaned up. After a wash, the cars had no damage whatsoever. The price for the services was very much worth it. I would recommend them to anyone interested in moving. read more

Do NOT use Diesel Auto Express or SGT for any type of transport service. Diesel Auto Express was the carrier chosen by broker SGT to have our car shipped from FL to WA. The original order was placed on 6 April for a pickup from 4-8 May. It was dispatched to the carrier, Diesel Auto Express on 20 April. We were promptly informed by SGT, that the car would be picked up on 5 May. Leading up to 5 May, there was no communication from the carrier, Diesel. I had to reach out to them repeatedly to get a status updates. We were initially told that the car would be picked up on the evening of 5 May and were even told the driver was in GA headed south to FL and it would be later that night. The 5th came and went and we never heard anything and the car wasn't picked up. We were eventually told that the driver had a family emergency and would be out for 2 weeks. We were rebooked for 11 May, so at this point we had to change plans and leave a family member in FL as rest of us had to return to WA. On the 11th were then told it would be the 13th due to "traffic". This was after I initiated the call to get an update. They were not keeping us informed at all. Eventually the car was picked up on the 13th and delivered on the 19th. The customer service reps were helpful, but they asked me to call dispatch when I felt they should be doing that. Could never get an answer at dispatch, no return calls or texts. The drivers on both ends were very nice and accomodating. This review isn't aimed at the rank and file lower level employees. This is a management issue and a culture issue internally when it comes to communication and also communicating or failing to do so with the customer. At any point during the process they could have kept us updated rather than hanging and wondering. Also, stick to a solid story as it was switching. No we booked this day, oh it's a family emergency, then traffic. Just be honest up front and customers will better understand. Do not use Diesel Auto Express for anything and certainly don't let any broker, especially SGT select Diesel Auto Express as a carrier. read more
