A few months go by and the thermostat that they replaced failed. I contacted them to discuss this issue, but the car was now in the metro Denver area and not near Grand Junction. I had no choice, but to take to car to a local shop (1 .6 miles from my house) as the vehicle was leaking antifreeze profusely and overheating; There was no way for the car to make the 4 hour trip to Grand Junction. I discussed this with Scott's when this occurred initially and the Service Consultant was unaware of any process to follow for warranty other than to bring the vehicle back to their shop. After getting the thermostat replaced by the local shop I followed up with Scott's and after multiple emails and phone calls to discuss their warranty, I was now informed of their process. With this new story, there was no way to rewind what had already been repaired by the local shop. I submitted a copy of the invoice and asked for credit for the repair to be used at their shop in the future and was told that wasn't going to happen. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss this further and have yet to receive a call back after multiple calls and emails. Scott's: I understand that parts fail, but what I can't understand is how you let your customer service fail.

They write to replace a roof skin when any other shop would have 6-7 hours of repair on it, replace a quarter panel for fairly minor damage, replace undamaged headlights and taillights and other parts and then there is a guy who comes in and buys the old headlights and taillights. And as a tech, any time I would point out these things, the production manager would go off on me. I would let my supervisor know of this and nothing ever happened about it. I was finally let go because they overheard that I was looking elsewhere, and they lied to the unemployment insurance which I will be looking in to an attorney. Also they paid me significantly less than they promised me when I moved out here from Minnesota plus no 401k like i was assured of. And now I find out a friend of mine had his Tacoma fixed there and as he says, they did him dirty. Supposedly replaced the grille and headlight with nee parts but he found out they were glued together. All in all, the shadiest place I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I ABSOLUTELY stand by this statement about this place and I honestly expect there to be threats and attempted repercussions for this but there is definitely a paper trail to validate my claims They even have gone so far as to contact my present employer and disparage me literally monntgs after I left there... I guess the fact that they have basically no insurance adjusters to keep them honest really shows the lack of character of this family... when they feel the need to bombard the people with their embarrassing radio commercials several times an hour, Bellering on how "Superior" they are, probably should consider bringing your vehicle elsewhere...

He also told me that they don't mask off anyting. Then he tried to tell me they couldn't blend because I had a clear coat. And he forgot to contact me about having a part complete because he needed my approval and wanted me to pay for the extra repair. Kind of hard to believe he never heard of submitting you supplement to the insurance company. For the work that they did do was satisfactory. Their shortcomings came from the office.

A rock had found its way between my rear disc brake and the shielding which at the time was only an educated guess. Our next leg of the trip was over the mountains and we were at Palisade hotel. Next morning I met Mike and crew when they opened at 8:00. They have a number of cars lines up to work on. Mike drove my car 50 feet and confirmed what it was and squeezed me in. I was out of there before 10:00 AM at a very low cost. Mike has been doing this 60 years. I brought a Subaru Impreza to this shop in June 2026 to diagnose the cause of recurring oil drips…read morecoming from the engine/transmission area. The Antonelli's mechanic who inspected the car concluded that these drips were coming from a bad oil plug gasket, and coolant leaking from a "melted radiator" that would cost roughly $3,000 to replace. I authorized the mechanic to change the oil plug gasket and do an accompanying oil change (which they mishandled by overfilling the oil level), and then took the car to the local Subaru dealership. The Subaru dealership mechanic quickly traced the oil leaks to bad gaskets on the transmission check plug which cost $100 to fix. The radiator was perfectly fine. The dealership mechanic was at a loss as to how someone could have recommended replacing it. And the best part - oil was still seeping around the oil drain plug. The root cause of which was an aftermarket oil plug that some shop had installed years ago. It's a minor inconvenience I can live with until my next oil change. My advice - if you own a Subaru, avoid this shop at all costs. You'll be money ahead taking it to the local Subaru dealership instead.
