    It deserves 0 stars- Dallas Scyene location…read more I had a disappointing experience with International Transmission Repair at the Dallas location. My warranty was voided after I declined to accept an apology and remove a truthful review. I believe customers should be able to share their experiences without retaliation, especially when they feel they have been wronged. This experience raised concerns about the company's business practices. The business was originally recommended to me by a close friend, and I expected a higher level of professionalism. While the process began with good communication, timely towing, and a repair completed within three days, my overall experience changed after that point. I also found some of the warranty and payment practices to be unclear. The company advertises a lifetime warranty, but the terms require ongoing service every six months at a cost of $350, or $700 per year, in order to keep the warranty valid. That information was not clearly explained upfront and was only disclosed in the fine print at the bottom of my receipt. In addition, I was not informed in advance that credit card payments would include an 8% fee. Because of that, I had to use two different payment methods, Zelle and Cash App, which I had not planned for. I paid over $4,100 for the transmission work and received a warranty with that service. During the repair process, my truck was used by the company and the back of it was damaged. I provided photos of the damage, and the company offered an apology, a car wash, and a $50 gas card. While I appreciated the gesture, I wanted the opportunity to speak directly with the owner, Justin, about what happened. Despite my repeated requests, I was never able to speak with him. The response I received by text was, "I already told him and he said he doesn't have anything to say to you." I had never spoken with the owner during the entire process, and I wanted the chance to discuss my experience directly and respectfully. Communication throughout the situation was handled through the receptionist using her personal phone, with messages relayed back and forth. This created confusion and inconsistent information. One employee even told me that the receptionist is not always fully informed. That is not the level of customer service I expected after spending thousands of dollars. After I posted a truthful review about my experience and declined to remove it, I received a text message showing my warranty paperwork stamped in red with the word "VOID." When I asked why my warranty had been canceled, I was told by text that it was because I would not accept their apology and would not take down my review. My review was not about the quality of the transmission repair itself. It was about how I was treated after my truck was damaged and how the situation was handled. To my knowledge, there was no issue with the transmission work that would justify canceling the warranty I had already paid for. Everything I have shared is supported by text messages and documentation I have saved. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I believe customers deserve honest communication, accountability, and a company that stands behind its work without threatening or revoking a warranty because a customer chose to leave a truthful review.
