Shopping and dining in Pearl City, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I didn't know the name of this Shopping Center until Peter Y. told me. I described it as: McDonald's on one end and TJ Maxx on the far end. In-between, there are stores like Longs Drugs Store, Petco, Sally Beauty Supply, Rokaru, and Foodland Farms. There are two small buildings across from the long strip of businesses. One building has shops such as Hana Tea and AT&T. The other building with Dunkin on the corner has a nail salon. He took a while to think, but he figured it out! It's not even in Google, but my friends, Rachie, Liza, Malia, and Joyce, wrote reviews for Pearl City Gateway! I've been visiting this shopping center often because Longs, Dunkin', and TJ Maxx are within walking distance of each other. I like this Dunkin because it opens earlier than the Pearlridge location. Thanks for the great selection of shops and free parking!

From McDonald's to TJ Maxx this shopping center is home to many local favorites all in one area making it a convenient stop to have lunch, shop and even get your pedicure done all with lots of free parking. Located just down the street from Pearl Highlands this lesser known named area is a place that many have been myself included out of convenience as the last time was for Hana Tea with my bestie which later turned to a retail therapy session at TJ Maxx we laughed and reasoned with our choices. One stop shopping is at this great place along with various services not just saves time but supporting various local businesses is always something I do love and they offer that here. Thank you!

The monorail has been out of service for so long it makes getting around difficult. Basically the whole idea went down hill. Elevator and escalators are always out of service making it difficult for seniors and disabled people to gain access. A law suit should be addressed for NOT being ADA compliant. In certain area maintenance of debris and leaves and yard waste does not get picked up often enough. Parking lot strips are so faded the markings are hard to see. Lights are not working and visible in some areas. Management needs to be more active and walking the grounds instead of being in the office all day long. Security needs to be out and about roaming and visible more often. Not just watching a camera.

Free Ample parking is available for all members of 24 Hour Fitness as opposed to Downtown Bishop and Kapiolani locations. For those who take public transportation, it's easy to get here via The Bus or The Sky Line!

Sam's Club and 24 Hour Fitness are on the lower level, and everything else is on the top. There is another building - on the street side - with Pizza Press and a few other businesses. Parking is free, but the stalls are a bit tight. This is unfortunate because there are many great shops and eateries here! Regal Theater is on one end, and Ross Dress For Less is at the other. The food court, Pearl Highlands Market, is in-between - next to Little Joe's Steakhouse and Liliha Bakery. In the past, I only went to Ross, and the theater. Today, I went to Cotti Coffee inside Highlands Market. Before today, I've been to the food court a couple of times, but now that Chicken & Brisket is there, I will have to return!

Who's down wid' DEALAGES???…read more Bruddah Fran is gonna be generous & share da 411 with ya. Did ya know on Oahu we actually have an outlet mall? If you're interested in looking to DEALAGES, just head on down to the Westside (in the Waipahu area) because the Waikele Premium Outlet stores is there! There are so many stores here, so when you do visit the Waikele Premium Outlet, hopefully you'll find a store that will appeal for you. As for me, a few of my favorite stores I like to visit is - the Lowe's hardware store, Reyn Spooner, & the Van's shoe store. Beside shopping, the outlet mall also has restaurants, a small food court, & numerous food trucks in the parking lot so finding something yummy to eat shouldn't be too hard. Parking here is a breeze, as the outlet mall has ample parking. If you don't have a car, I noticed a lot of tourist would catch a shuttle to this outlet mall. Not the only shopping place in the area Waimalu Plaza sits on a busy corner of Moanalua Road and Kaahumanu Street but don't let this hidden place fool you as it's filled with great local small biz including a full Safeway. Would you expect to find City Mill along side Pink Box and The Face Shop or Hakuyosha, Red Wing Shoes, N&J Nails, Pet Clinic or Pacific Diamond...I honestly didn't think so lol! Sikdorak III, Subway, Jamba, Pho, Pancakes & Waffles and even Paesano is something that got me hungry though I really came here to chill at their Starbucks as this location is a great place to do so as it's spacious with lots of seating. Lots of various parking areas including the ones right beside Starbucks does make it an easy place to swing by and to get a long of shopping or just errands done. Thank you!

My usual spot is Kabuki's Restaurant, and I like the okazu-ya. Also Chun Wah Kam for their baked manapua, and pork hash. So happy these businesses survived the pandemic phase.

The forgotten mall…read more.. Well it's more of the old school type of mall with a single strip going down a straight line with various biz mostly foodies type are found here but you'll read it's the parking and yes I agree as many of us would rather find the one that's closest to the biz of your choice it's seriously the luck of the moment. Though parking at the very next lane is no different really from the first as it's just a few steps but what really gets me is that it seems like the sun just beams straight down to this area as it's blazing hot which is why it's not my favor spot the does have a slight shade from the building itself but everyone else bakes if you're here for a long period of time. We came for some tea and talked but didn't stay very long and the bathroom situation is pretty much non existent as well. Thanks!

One thing that I do often though is eat! There are many places to eat here from my new favorite, Kim Chee 7, to the buffet, Makino Chaya, to KFC, and more! This mall is old though. It has been around ever since I could remember. It is a little run down. Still, there is so much going for it that I love stopping by whenever I have a chance! If you want to eat and want to avoid the traffic in the mall, I highly recommend stopping here! There's just so many yummy places.
