Pretty fast service and great tuna! The ambiance is not the best but I mean it's there. Order was made and ready in 3 mins, nice pricing too. Not chip options tho, no complaints

Food- Tuna Salad with Avocado on Wheat Toast Bread (Cross-Section)

The Whole Deli Five is a very popular lunch spot in the Glastonbury area. I visited after the lunch rush (after 2pm) and it was completely empty. The downside was they ran out of grinders, which was quite frustrating. The pricing didn't make much sense, it's $.75 cents extra to make the sandwich on a grinder instead of toast bread, which is of course much larger. The sandwich base price is about $6.50 - $8 depending on the type of sandwich you order (with no drinks or chips). The basic toast bread sandwich didn't feel worth it relative to other delis/sandwich spots where you can get at least a 10 inch sub/grinder for that price point. That was my main issue with the whole experience at Whole Deli Five. If it's not on a grinder, you're basically getting a worse deal than the majority of other places. Aside from that, the experience was quite positive. There is a private parking lot, decent seating, and fairly quick service. The ingredients all tasted fresh too. I might try them out one more time to give the grinder a try, but wouldn't return for their basic sandwich. The portion is just too small for the price point.

Around 10:30 on a Saturday, lots of individuals were streaming in for takeaway food. No one was sitting in the restaurant. All of us ordered egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches with various meat options: turkey, sausage, bacon. With the added meat, two sandwiches was just over $9 (including tip). The menu board mentions bagels, but apparently they don't have bagels. Hard roll is a classic way to go in that case. Pretty standard breakfast sandwich in the end, but it really hit the spot.

Philly Cheesesteak, so good! Made any way you want, I got American cheese instead of Swiss.

This place is fantastic! All of their grinders and sandwiches are made to order and they use fresh, high quality ingredients. The food is just delicious! I highly recommend this spot for lunch as their service is very polite and quick!

I've been here four times for lunch. Great sandwiches all freshly made. It's one heck of a lot easier to get into and out of here than other sandwich places. Prices seem reasonable to me for the quality of food. They have a huge menu board with all sorts of selections which often have various sauces. Today my sandwich had apple and avocado. I will continue to stop here for lunch. Fast, convenient and delicious.

It was tender, juicy, flavorful grilled chicken on fresh bread with some absolutely kicking honey mustard. I will 100% go back to this place because The sandwich was near perfection. That being said, the service was seriously subpar. By that I mean, both slow and particularly unwelcoming. In addition, I feel the need to mention that we chose to stay there to eat, and both the tables and the salt and pepper shakers were absolutely filthy. So, despite the fact that it wasn't a perfect experience... their menu is really extensive and the food is delicious, so I'm sure we'll visit again sometime! Maybe we will order ahead and get our food to go!

Happy with them! The italiano was good I just wasn't crazy about the bread and I'd add spicy brown mustard and extra cheese next time. The turkey ham bacon grinder was good just needed pickles (which I added at home) and the chicken bacon wrap was perfect. Service was a young lady who was very nice in store. Also! They had blue raspberry popsicles!! I've been looking for these and craving them for almost two years now, I would come back for those alone but also the sandwiches.

Cozy, charming, the kind of place that practically begs you to believe great Italian food is coming. But looks don't season food. From the pasta fagioli to the eggplant parm sandwich, the common thread was impossible to ignore: bland. Not subtly restrained. Not "let the ingredients speak." Just flat. No depth, no punch, no reason to go back for another bite. Italian food should comfort you and excite you at the same time--this did neither. Credit where it's due: portions are generous, and the bread was fresh and nicely toasted, which honestly might have been the most flavorful thing on the table. But when bread becomes the highlight at an Italian spot, that's a problem. I wanted to love Lenoci's. The space sets you up for it. Unfortunately, the food doesn't deliver.

Cove Deli was the only place that I hadn't already tried that I would try. Selection made. Cove Deli is located in what could be a charming grey multi-level residence towards the far north side of the Silas Deane in Wethersfield. It's sign is grey/blue and looks like it would be obscured by the shade for some of the day. Guess that's why I never noticed. They serve things such as breakfast sandwiches, coffee, burgers, salads, lunch sandwiches and prepared meals for home consumption. The inside was well-cared for and decorated in a manner fitting the nice exterior of the building. I would be comfortable eating there, although I'm still mostly in takeout mode. I ordered something I usually only order in Manhattan - an everything bagel with lox, red onion, tomato, capers and cream cheese. Cove Deli promptly answered my call, and my order, which Cove Deli calls "Lox on a Bagel", was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later. Service was friendly. The "Lox on a Bagel" was decent, but is a couple of steps down from the best New York places that I've tried. The ingredients were all fine, but there were no real standouts. I would definitely return to try something different at the Cove Deli, but I prefer other places in the area for bagels. Three Stars

Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
