Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup - cup
    Lori D.

So happy I finally caught this restaurant when they were open! I'm now making an effort to get out of the house early to catch them. Firstly, this restaurant is bigger than it looks! Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

"I like mine with lettuce and tomato Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer Well, good God almighty which way do I steer?" (Jimmy Buffet) They're a breakfast and lunch spot open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 -2 and Sunday from 8-1. The breakfast menu is as deep as anything you'll see in a New Jersey diner. For starters they offer ten specials including unusual choices like Croissant French Toast, Churro French Toast, and Crab Cake Benedict. They have 14 omelets, six scrambled egg platters, four Benedicts, six French toasts, four waffles, seven breakfast sandwiches, and a hash plate. Lunch choices are just as plentiful with a dozen platters including a Yellowstone and a Beth Dutton, plus enough salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and melts to make your head spin. We ordered two meals to go from their lunch menu - a California Quesadilla ($17) and a Fiesta Salad ($15) with added chicken ($3). They totaled $37.57 after tax. The quesadilla was a generous portion with plenty of cheese and diced chicken instead of the traditional shredded chicken. My salad came with beans, corn, southwest dressing, croutons, and a slice of Italian bread. The chicken upgrade was a good deal -there was plenty for the $3 add. The portions were pretty big, so we had plenty to divide in half and make 4 servings. The only downside of our visit was the time it took for our orders to come out- nearly 30 minutes. This was bizarre, because the dining room was not crowded, and I didn't see a lot of customers coming in for take-out orders. When we paid, the cashier mumbled something along the lines of "sorry for the delay", but it was an insincere half-hearted communication. And during our 30-minute wait there was nothing said to us besides, "you can have a seat while you wait".

My sister recommended this as it is in their town and wow was I surprised when we walked in and I saw the cool ambience inside. We were here for breakfast, and there was a nice variety of items to choose from. I always enjoy thought out foods with unique combinations and I was happy to try a different spin on an egg Benedict. I also tried some of the Nutella stuffed French toast and wow was that a treat! For sure I would come here again sometime to try something new

I went here for breakfast with some coworkers and I ordered the croissant French toast. It was yummy, the fruit was fresh! My coworker ordered the American scrambler and said it was good. My other coworker whose vegan couldn't order much, so had to just order toast with veggies. The flavored lattes were alright, too much foam and not sweet enough. The service was slow even though there weren't a lot of people. We had to ask for our check multiple times. The ambiance was decent, wasn't too loud. Overall I'd recommend if you're in the Rocky Hill area. Not great vegetarian/vegan options though.

So cute here! Definitely a Rocky Hill gem and preferred breakfast spot! Lots of iced coffee and drink options. I got a pumpkin ice coffee which was so smooth. My friend got the s'mores latte and she loved it, it also looked cute! I'd like to come back and try their lavender lemonade. I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were exactly what I was hoping for, so sweet with a little crunch! My friend got blueberry pancakes and we both ordered a side of scrambled eggs. It may be pricey here, but I think it's so worth it. Service was quick!

We love coming here for breakfast and lunch. The service is quick and the servers are kind. The prices have been going up over the past few years but they have everywhere. There is always nice music playing. This place is kid friendly with high chairs and yummy food for them. There often are older ladies eating at the restaurant as well who coo over your children. There is room for a stroller and a dancing toddler. They will start serving alcohol like mimosas soon which is exciting!!

Great local nook for Breakfast & Lunch options. Unique breakfast menu items ranging from fruit filled waffles and pancakes to churro french toast Prime Rib omelettes and a few hefty salad options. The vibe is very mom and pop but i've never been able to figure out what's going on with the decor inside. It reminds me of a Cracker Barrel mixed with my Grandmothers coffee cabinets & collectables. Service has generally been good I always love to see an establishment staffed with some local young kids. A couple of times it's been a bit slow but food was never bad and that's with the understanding that staffing is hard these days. Overall, I would recommend this to all and will be back!

Every time I go to NYPD (see what they did there?), I ask myself "Why don't I come here more often?" I live near NYPD. Everything I get there is very good. My takeout was ready when I arrived. Today, I got a mini Philly Omelet sandwich (sliced beef, onions, peppers, mushroom and American on a hard roll). The veggies and roll were fresh. It tasted good on its own, and I jazzed it up at home with a little KPop Kimchi Mayo. They have many great looking breakfast and lunch options. NYPD is offering inside dining now. It wasn't crowded when I was there and I noticed lots of staff mask wearing and hand sanitizer. They make an effort with the appearance of the place. There are a bunch of curios, etc. I give NYPD a hearty recommendation.

I definitely will be back to buy some pasta and sauce! The marketplace is so charming and has a lot to offer. We grabbed a Vietnamese coffee, a slice of the Basque cheesecake, and the Yuzu pineapple lemonade. Typically the lemonade also comes with coconut, but since they were out I added guava instead. It was so refreshing and perfect for this amazing weather that we've been having. We saved the cheesecake and coffee for the next morning, but the coffee was just as great as when I tried it and the cheesecake was so rich!

I found it Inside an ordinary looking strip mall. The coffee choices are pretty impressive, and their website made me chuckle when I saw them ask viewers to "Drop the orange and pink branded cup ;-) - There is a better way to start your morning, power your day, and sip on a little sunshine". I passed on their lineup of Cappuccino, Lattes, Espressos, Americanos, Macchiato, Cold Brews, Vietnamese, Cuban, And Con Panna, because all I wanted was a regular coffee, I went with their Deep Roast version known as CAFÉ HABANA, an espresso bean blend from Guatemala, Brazil, and Nicaragua. It was excellent, a yummy dark roast coffee with plenty of taste to it. Now seriously, what is a morning coffee without an accompanying bakery treat. They had a tempting variety of empanadas, croissants, pastries, and it was a tough decision before I put my money down on a muffin-like asparagus cheese frittata. It was decadently great. While I was waiting for my order, I looked around and saw quite a bit of prepared food (all prepared from scratch in house) for take-out. They have a lunch menu and a great looking Italian themed catering menu with Manicotti, Hand Stuffed Shells, Beef Lasagna, Three Cheese Lasagna, Four Cheese Mac & Cheese, and Eggplant Torta. Your shopping and browsing experience will also include sightings of canned goods, assorted groceries and baked goods. For all of these reasons, I was very impressed with my stop at Ani's, and I bet you'll be too.

The meeting was exactly two minutes away from Bob's, so when I rolled into Bob's at a quarter to nine, saw a near empty dining room, I figured I'd have plenty of time to have a coffee, enjoy a bagel, and go through my meeting notes. Oops, that wasn't what happened. Truth be told, I made my meeting with seven minutes to spare. After I ordered, I waited for quite a while and looked up from my notes to see what was going on. I saw two servers and the manager engaged in a serious conversation about something. My server caught my eye and ran over to the kitchen, and I clearly heard her say something like "where's that egg on a bagel?". It was evident that the order hadn't even made its way to the kitchen yet. Eventually my breakfast sandwich did arrive, and the server offered some sort of an apology for the delay and communication breakdown. Now, as I said, Bob's was pretty empty today, so that made the service breakdown hard to understand. I certainly hope they do a better job on their busy weekends. Anyway, my server was pleasant, and I did appreciate her apology. The sandwich and coffee were fine, and the bill came to just $7. Will I be back next month? I doubt it.

Good espresso base, nice foam. It couldn't have been better. Now, about the bagel. Not much variety; only plain or everything. They asked if I wanted it "warmed." I suspected that meant "in a microwave" so I said if it was fresh, I didn't need it warmed. When the bagel arrived, it was ice cold. Must have been kept in a fridge, which doesn't help the taste or texture of baked goods. Because of that, it did not seem particularly fresh. It was certainly not like the New York bagels of my childhood, unless you compare it to prepackaged commercial bagels (like Lenders).
