My husband and I recently purchased our house and had to have our hardwood floors re-done. We found good reviews with this company and decided to go with them. We were not disappointed. Joel was very professional and knows what he is doing. My husband and I were especially concerned about how to transition the flooring with our fireplace, which has a unique rock-wall foundation. Joel knew what would look best and made the transition look perfect. He also helped us pick out the perfect stain for our flooring, as well as do some repair work on some boards, which you can't even tell now had gouges in them. In essence our floors look perfect and we couldn't be happier. Joel was even flexible with some electrical issues with the house, because 2 days into their work, a part in the electrical box went out. Joel actually drove to the store to buy the part for us so that we had it on hand when the electrician came out that night to fix it. Joel and his crew came out on a Saturday too because they were concerned about getting the project done in a timely manner. When Joel found out that I was pregnant, he recommended a water-based finish to lessen the fumes and because it's safer. Dimensional Flooring Concept recently installed Brazilian cherry hardwood floors in my entire home in San Francisco. They did an absolutely phenomenal job, and working with Joel was an absolute pleasure! He was extremely professional and had excellent communications skills, keeping me informed at every step of the process. He also was very proactive in working closely and efficiently with my general contractor to ensure that the floor installation did not cause any undue delays in my overall remodeling project. Before preparing a quote, he carefully examined the site and offered a wide range of flooring options, as well as solutions for sound mitigation. He also provided me samples of various hardwood floors which helped me choose the right product. We had our oak floors refinished by Joel at Dimensional Flooring Concepts and feel like we have a brand new home. Our entry hall, kitchen, family and dining room floors had over 25 years of abuse that included pets, kids, harsh sunlight, standing water and high traffic. Joel was able to bring them back to life and look better than new. We also decided to add hardwood floors in our living room and Joel was able to perfectly match the new flooring to our existing floors. We felt that Joel's estimate was very reasonable. He communicated clearly with us and kept us informed through all phases of the job so there were no surprises at the end. We have an older building that has old carpeting all throughout. We recently started pulling up carpet and found beautiful hardwood flooring that needed to be sanded and refinished. We had contacted another company for a quote and decided to get another. We went through Yelp to see who we could find for another quote and found DFC and gave them a call. Joel came out and we were very impressed with his knowledge and explained what would need to be done to the flooring. He has a excellent eye for detail and pointed out things that the other company didn't and he told us about options that again was never brought up through the other company. He also came way under bid compared to the other company. We decided to hire Joel and his team for our small job. We are so glad that we did go with DFC as the floor came out beautifully.
