I chose Murnane to install new LVP flooring throughout half of my home. The pricing was competitive with other highly rated local flooring installers and the quality of the installation was great. Mike did an excellent job removing my old bamboo flooring (with staples everywhere), setting the foundation for a high quality installation. Unfortunately, the flooring we selected had a highly distressed looking plank that was not part of the samples we looked at that gave a very disorganized look to the floor. We have a very heavy pool table in our game room and needed new carpet. I called 4 different carpet stores and 3 of them just told me that they do not deal with pool tables. When I called Murnane Carpet and Floors Bob Murnane said he was sure they could work something out. Bob gave us a slightly lower estimate than another flooring company, and he sent it the next day, after measuring. In fact, everything was on schedule. When the supplies were delayed, due to the ice/snow storm, in the Midwest, they let us know right away and rescheduled. When a sooner appt opened up, they got us in quicker. When we remodeled our kitchen about 15 years ago, Murnane did a great job of installing a really nice-looking floor in three different colors of Marmoleum. It's tasteful, really it is, but if it's not, that's not their fault because we designed it. In the last few years one of the seams separated due to a water spill from the dishwasher. They came out and fixed it a couple of weeks ago, and it looks perfect again. (Luckily we'd saved some of the leftover material.) We recently had Murnane replace all the flooring on the second floor of our house, as well as the staircase. The whole process was fantastic! Linda in the showroom is very knowledgeable and friendly, but not pushy. She helped us pick out some carpet we liked, and ordered some samples for us so we could look at the colors in our house. Once we chose a color she ordered the carpet for us, and although it was backordered with the manufacturer she kept us up to date at every step. As soon as our carpet was scheduled to arrive, Bob got us on the schedule for installation later that week! The installers were very professional and efficient. They removed and hauled away the old carpet and vinyl flooring, moved the big furniture, and put down the new padding and carpet. They worked on the bedrooms first so we could still sleep in the house overnight since the job took two days. We purchased engineered hardwood from Bob for our whole downstairs and the stairs and upper landing. Bob's prices are excellent, and Janna, who assists Bob, is extremely competent and helpful. Mostly we have been very pleased. We chose a walnut hardwood, which is exquisite. When people enter our home (from friends to repair people), everyone comments on our beautiful floors. The floor installers were a wonderful father and son team, who were as pleasant as could be. They did a beautiful job! If I had to do it again, I would probably choose another type of wood that does not damage as easily as walnut.
