After a day of handywomaning, I stopped by Dimitri's Pizzeria on the way home. I run a RI pizza Facebook group and we're having a meetup here later this month. As this place was selected by my co-founder, I needed to go by myself, have some pizza and scope out the place. Plus get to meet Dimitri himself in case he had any questions. The space is lovely, a good amount of tables and a small bar. I ordered a pepperoni and black olive and found a seat at the end of the bar. After not too long of a wait, my pizza arrived. If you were to look up Greek style pizza in the dictionary, you would see a picture of this pizza. As I was chowin down, I realized it's like the most perfect textbook version of the style. The crust is crispy and airy, the cheese a little chewy, stretch and salty. The sauce hits just right and the toppings bring it all together. Its perfection makes sense given Dimitri has been making pizza for almost as long as I've been alive, and I'll be 41 this year. Even after he retired himself from Cowesett Pizza, passing the torch to Britt, his former employee, he could only last a year before he was called back into making pizzas. Same back at ya the pizza and stuff was amazing. There's a sauce on the small cheese was very sweet, which was a different type of taste and I like the extra crunchiness, but even John was able to eat the pizza which was just good I mean the crust. The salad was fresh and delicious nice and crunchy full of flavor. I put hardly any dressing on it. It was so good. But we really like that meat lovers pizza we never had one before with no sauce on it but the fresher of the meat and the juiciness seed right down to the crust and made it taste. Absolutely delicious. We've never had that before but we are going to get definitely get it again when the kids get home. read more

Took my order and charged my card. Delivery order never showed, called after 80 mins, no answer for any of the four calls. Driver called finally 1 hour and 45 mins later to tell me he was on the way. He said they unhooked online ordering site and stopped answering phones because they were behind . Not ok. They need a better plan when things go wrong. By this time I had already spent $14 on terrible hotel pizza. Told them to refund my money. Let's hope that can be resolved. read more

I've never actually been in here. I've only ever ordered for delivery. That being said, the staff is always pleasant. This is one of our go-to lunch places at work. The guy who answers the phone is never rude or short. He's always nice and so is the delivery guy. Anyways, on to what you really want to know about. This particular review is regarding their grinders. Chicken parm grinder - breaded chicken!!!!! Finally a place with breaded chicken!!!! There was a perfect amount of sauce, perfectly toasted sub roll and gooey, stringy cheese! Ordered extra sauce on the side, because you know sometimes it's dry... didn't even need the extra sauce. Very pleased with this. Next was the steak, cheese, mushroom and onion grinder - the meat was shaved and it wasn't dry! Round of applause please!!! I have been craving this for a while but I tend to steer clear because it's always dry and lacking in flavor. Well, I finally caved today. Only because we've never been disappointed by Dimitri's at all & we've ordered here quite a bit. Overall this place is my favorite for pizza, grinders and even salad in the area. It has taken me quite a while to find a local pizza place in Warwick that I am truly satisfied with. Most of the pizza I have tried has been heavy or has made me ill. One pizza place I had pizza that was overcooked and undercooked at the same time! Dimitri's pizza is delicious, light, satisfying, and not heavy and not oily. It's their 1st week at this location so they were very busy and a little behind but the wait from order to getting the food really wasn't too bad considering. Ordered a small pizza with pepperoni and green peppers. Crust was spot on and perfectly cooked. Sauce was very good not too sweet or too garlicky. High quality cheese and toppings. My new go to for pizza . My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Greek Salad which she orders everywhere we go, she's very happy with it and it's basically enough for 2 people. I also ordered a Gyro and let me just say I will not get a Gyro anywhere else. Best Gyro I've eaten period. Pita was amazing packed with meat and sauce was spot on. Dimitri's has been the only pizza I have been ordering from since they opened up. Personally my favorite type of pizza is New Haven style, coal fired with a thin charred crust. Dimitri's is basically the opposite of that, and I still love it. The crust is thick, but deliciously crispy, the cheese has a top layer of crunch and soft and gooey underneath. Perfection! It's also very consistent, I've never ordered from them and had a bad pizza. I always have leftovers that I eat for a few days after. It's not as good reheated of course, but still decent! read more

We've tried this place 3x - pizza, calzone, sandwiches, moz sticks etc. NOT a fan of any of it. We figured we would try it after the new ownership took over Don's and we would give it time and a few tries. Not great. Much better options around this area of Warwick. Too bad. read more
