We always come from South County to get your desserts for all our events and recommend you to everyone. However today was very disappointed. We ordered a large lemon blueberry cake for a friend for his wife 50th . We got in the large line before 11 . We asked for our order and we get a few additional items.. I asked for a bagel and the boys said sorry it's after 11. I said we were in line before that he said no I just can't get a bagel by itself. And then he goes to get the cake when he comes back the writing on the cake looked like a five-year-old wrote it. We just spent $65 on the cake and I'm embarrassed to give it to the family. My husband then asked the manager if she could take a peek and maybe fix it for us. She first said I am sure this it is not a blue lemon and he said yes we special ordered it and when she opened it we were right and she then said well we don't usually write on them. This will be an interesting review to write. Make no mistake about it, the food was good, and I'll get to that. Just a suggestions that might improve on the experience as a whole. First, there seems to be some confusion about what end of the counter to order from. Is there one line? Two? Zipper merge? I'll help you out now that I did some eves dropping. Sandwiches, calzones, lunch items are ordered on the far left. Bakery/dessert items to the right. A sign or even a sporadic shout out as to where customers should go would help. Onto the food. I had a hankering for a traditional Italian grinder. The kind with a few Italian meats, provolone, and standard fixins. I didn't see anything of the sort on the menu other than a prosciutto and mozz sandwich. They had what seemed like an abundance of turkey and chicken sandwich options. This seemed surprising because it has a very Italian deli feel to the place. They did offer an Italian calzone, which I ordered to quench my initial craving. It was good. The dough was a bit crisp, and was heated on a panini press that gave it a bit to much crunch, opposed to the classic chew from a pizza dough we all love. Next up, the pesto tortellini. This was a nice bite. It was made fresh, and the cherry tomatoes gave it a bright note that cut the richness of the pasta/cheese/pesto. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. All in all, it was tasty enough that I'd go back for a different lunch item, and find that gem I know I'll find there! read more

The baked goods here go from wow to meh. I suspect I'm wowed when they're fresh baked the day of purchase and probably not so much as the days go past that. They have a cute little sandwich counter that serves up tasty sammies but the hours are much shorter than the actual bakery hours. They do have some tasty prepared foods for purchase for heat and serve at home. The quarts of soup are fairly decent and hit the spot when you just feel like having a bowl without the fuss of doing it yourself. The service used to be amazing but now it's just average. Plenty of parking out front. I never been to this place before and it was great. I got an Italian grinder and a slice of pizza. The sub was full of all the good meat and they even toasted the bread. The place makes all of their own bread fresh in house. The sub roll is a little smaller than most places but the perfect size for lunch. The place had plenty of staff at lunch time and the service was excellent as one person took my order and the other person was at the register waiting for me. They had plenty of places to sit or stand and eat but I took it to go. The store is clean and well organized and was very nice inside. read more

I stopped by the bakery on a Sunday afternoon around 3 PM. As soon as I walked in, the girl behind the counter had a noticeably sour expression. I'm choosing my words carefully when describing her demeanor. I greeted her with a "Good afternoon," but throughout our entire interaction, she was unfriendly. When I asked questions, her responses were curt, snappy, and filled with attitude. I was so unsettled by the encounter that I went back in to ask for her name. Her response? A sarcastic, "Oh, did I forget something, love?" At that point, I knew any attempt at service recovery would have felt insincere--or possibly even more dismissive. She told me her name was Casey. The experience was unsettling enough that I considered calling the owners directly, but in the end, I didn't.
