Just tried this place for the first time to try the pizza that supposed to be good but this pizza sucks. Honestly how do you mess up something so simple!!? They just slapped a bunch of cheese on it and their oven must be old because it felt undercooked in the center. Nice little pizza place across from Reisterstown Plaza. The pizza is good & slices are huge so 1 or 2 with an order of fries will fill you up. Plus it won't run you more than $10. That's what I usually get but honest the subs are pretty big & good as well. Basically you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The customer service is excellent as well. Well following the many reviews decided to try Dimitri's out since I was in the area. I was impressed with the menu variety and excited to see if the hype was for real. Ordered a polish sausage, cheesesteak, gyro and fries (yes I am greedy). Each of these are are some of my favorites so bias is infused heavily. The sausage wasn't grilled over a flame so it didn't have that smiley flavor I was looking for and it was small. The gyro had lots of meat yet no seasoning, the tzatziki was bland for my liking. The cheesesteak also had a ton of meat but no seasoning, it was OK, but surely not comparable to Geno's in Philly. It served it's purpose, but I can't say I'd be running back for another try. read more

This is a place that is really good to only the people who grewup on Dimitris subs and pizza. Dimitris subs have always had there own taste i think it has to do with the amount of onions they use. I think they have change thier meat because now the subs are extra dry. Maybe i have visited times when the meat has been sitting. I will try during a busy time and update my review. I work nearby and have to tell myself not to eat here everyday! The Italian cold cut is the best thing on the menu! The sub is thick with meat and toppings. I think the secret is the "hoogie spread." Yummy! They sell bottled and fountain sodas but try the "half and half" (sweet tea and lemonade). It's sweet and delicious! I have also tried the Greek salad which is good as well. The only issue I have with the salad is that a few years ago they filled the plate with cheese and lately all you get is a small slice :( Still tastes good. The restaurant has lots of seating. If you're pressed for time I would suggest calling ahead and your order will be ready for pick up. I love Demitri's Carry out. I haven't tried the Pizza but the cheesesteak sandwich is killer. Fries are great and you can't beat the buffalo wings. Just order them early as the wings are baked so it takes about 15 minutes. I would rather drink Pepsi so I don't mind the sodas. You've got a few restaurants surrounding the hotels, this is the best for quick, solid food. Not to mention, it's family run restaurant with Mom and sons working from morning until late in the evening. Tried a bite of the pepperoni pizza that was sitting since they opened. Maybe about an hour or two. It was thicker than thin crust and was almost thick enough to be called deep dish. It had a good crunch on the bottom, plain lacking actual Italian seasonings, not enough sauce, and the grease from the pepperonis was plentiful. It was edible, but it might be better when it is fresh out of the oven. The cheesesteak is a decent size, cheap price, but lacked any real flavor. It is edible and gives a good amount of meat for the cheap price! I probably would order from Dimitri's again, but it wouldn't be my first choice when choosing between neighboring chain restaurants, unless I was low on bucks. When asking for extra meat you definitely get it, worth it. Finally, the fruit punch tastes like regular old Kool Aid! It was tasted by three people and received the same concensus. No problem if you like Kool Aid, but if not you'd be upset that you didn't get Fruit Punch. And when asking for the chicken wings you get the ones sitting in the display window. I'd like fresh made wings and you'd have to wait about 20 minutes, but it didn't seem to be an option until they're ready to make more. read more

I ordered via Grub Hub tonight a Pepperoni pizza and Gravy Fries. I followed the tracker provided and it told me that the food had arrived via text! Me and my boyfriend were READY! Ok?! We didn't hear a doorbell or knock but assumed the text came from the delivery driver so opened the front door...no one was there! I've been going to Dimitri's since I was 16 yrs old, I am now 56. I still haven't tried everything on the menu, but everything I've had has been great. The chicken salad is enough for 2 days of lunch all fresh ingredients. The chicken wings are always a side order to whatever I get. Large and crispy. Another thing the fish sub just delicious. Large portion crispy outside lots of meat and tender. I don't fool with a lot of fillers just meat, cheese and raw onions. The shrimp cheesesteak is my favorite, plenty of fresh chopped steak and shrimp in every bite. The onion rings are great too. This week I'm going to try the pasta's I'm sure they will be great too. Back in the day it was maybe 3 tables always full and a line after school. It was the greatest spot & has grown into an even greater restaurant. Don't forget the pizza! Is anyone really looking for reviews to decide whether or not to go to Dimitri's Carry Out? That's crazy. Dimitri's is one of those places that you go to when you don't want to give your money to the Wendy's next door. Well, anyway, the pizza there is of the "we had a pizza oven laying around so we put sauce and cheese on a cracker and sell it" variety. So, get that at your own risk. The fries were decent -- glad they didn't screw that up. The "chicken tender on a hamburger bun" was actually not that bad, but seriously, I don't think they are going to win a James Beard nomination any time soon. Oh, and they serve Pepsi. Pepsi sucks.
