I want to start off by saying, I am a loyal Dimo's customer. I have been patronizing this establishment for years at all of their locations. This location right here is the one. Formerly their wicker park location now in a new space. The space offers a better atmosphere, and the slices hit just as hard. If you are considering going to Dimo's go to this location. You can't go wrong all off their slices are phenomenal. I will now tier rank their locations as I've attended all several times. #1 Logan Square: simply can't be beat. The slices are top notch #2 Wrigley: not a great atmosphere, great for late night eats, slices great, but not excellent. #3 Lincoln Square: atmosphere okay, slices sub par. I'm not sure what it is with this location, but the slices never taste fresh and always taste slightly freezer burnt. read more

Dimo's has three stores in Chicago, this one opened not far from us a few months ago. They have a lot of specialty pies available, all with cutesy names. On the left is the Pep 2.0, the right is the Mary Wilson. (leftovers, obviously) Pep 2.0 is Ezzo pepperoni and whipped ricotta on a marinara and mozzarella base, topped with parmesan, fresh basil and orange habanero honey. Seriously lacking in pepperoni but the ricotta creamed redeemed it somewhat. Didn't taste any of the honey. Mary Wilson was bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, olives, and hot cherry peppers on a marinara and mozzarella base. The hot peppers dominated the flavor profile, but in a good way. Both pies suffered from a tough, chewy crust that didn't contribute much flavor. We even had to finish cutting the slices because their cutter didn't make it all the way through. Some of you purists from certain states or countries may scoff at some of the eccentric flavors at dimos, but to assuage all fears they have their basics absolutely down. The crust has that perfect, new york city crunch and chew, they've got a great sauce and quality cheese. I can only speak to the slices, we haven't ordered takeout here but we enjoyed the ones we got! I tried the chicken and waffles, pepperoni and sausage, brisket bbq, and buffalo chicken. My fav was the traditional pepp but we enjoyed them all. I kept it classic with a vegan cheese and regular pepperoni, and the flavor was awesome. Most vegan cheese just disintegrates into sad, mushy/liquidy nothing, but Dimo's doesn't. Fair price for the fat slices you get. This is a good, solid place to grab a quick pizza as the food is pretty good, comes out quickly, and staff is efficient. Small space to wait off to the side and as uncomfortable as it may be, you should definitely stand to wait because it's very easy for people to accidentally grab your order. Buffalo chicken - star of the show. I'm a fan of everything on this pizza, from the obviously buffalo sauce to the chicken to the blue cheese. Crust is thin and not a mouthful to get through. Works for the slice. Chicken and waffles - cute idea but not my favorite execution. Slice ended up being sweet and vaguely spicy but I found chicken to lack flavor. It's pizza, but a few toppings are unlike anything you've had. They even have many that are vegan. It's about $16 for a personal. This is big enough that a couple people could be satisfied. For sure it's not cheap, but it's better than expected. Most recently we got the Vegan Mac. It was like putting macaroni and cheese on a pizza, which seemed odd but good. This was topped with cheese and macaroni noodles. Cheese was plant based cheddar and mozzarella. This was melty like real like cheese and there was a lot, which must cost them a lot, so no wonder why it's as pricy. For more food options, they also have garlic bread.
