    Crabby fries $12
    Alexis P.

Yummy crab food and really nice staff! The guy running the front was really good with names and thanked me multiple times. The menu is limited (as food truck menus tend to be) but I got the crabby fries ($12) and loaded crab quesadilla ($12). Both had a generous portion of crab and were quite tasty! I'd definitely come back for more. The wait was a little longer than I'd like but they were also pretty popular at the food truck event.

I recently ordered a southwestern Philly cheese steak from here. It was one of the best cheesesteaks I've had! Highly recommend them!

The parking lot was full. The decor out front was mismatched bistro tables and chairs, so I liked it already. One step in the door and I was astounded. Old cabinets, scales, canning jars on one wall, photos and old pressure cookers on another, and no two tables or chairs the same. Coffee and cold drinks are serve yourself. Pick your own cup from an assortment of mismatched cups. Even the menu had little gems hidden in the descriptions. I ordered my usual, my standard for judging a restaurant, chipped beef over potatoes, and my husband ordered a 'meat lovers' eggs Benedict. It was a bit of a wait for the food as there were only 2 people working, but I wasn't bored because there were so many things around the place to look at. One bite of my food and I knew it was a winner. Thick, rich sauce with more meat than I've ever seen in a chipped beef gravy, and onions in the potatoes. Steven's Benny had sausage instead of an English muffin, and meat gravy instead of Bearnaise. He loved his food as well. Becky's is only open weekdays. She said it was too busy on weekends, and she does just fine being open weekdays. I can believe it. When we left, the parking lot was still full. This won't be our Saturday stop, but now Steven's off on Wednesdays, we can make this one a new regular stop.

I ordered a Reuben sandwich with coleslaw. They make their own Thousand Island dressing and coleslaw, all using fresh ingredients. The corned beef was sliced thin and perfectly cooked. It was a very good Reuben, and the coleslaw was fantastic. (If you love Reubens, you definitely know when a place shouldn't be allowed to make one -- The Fountain Grill gets a solid stamp of approval.) As for the atmosphere, it's a simple, booth-style family restaurant -- comfortable and intimate. I liked the place and the people.

We were treated as treasured family guests! The food was soooo good! Everything is completely prepared in house and they are, as they should be, very proud of their creations! All of this and very easy on the wallet. We waited 20 minutes for this wonderful experience. Wally awarded us a delectable and generous piece of chocolate cake for our time! We found this wonderful restaurant on Yelp. It was close to the hotel where we were staying and parking our car on the first leg of our journey to Madrid. We will definitely return next week when we retrieve our car! Buon appetito!

On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware.. Wouldn't feel a need to return at this point, too many other better options.

I popped in to The Local with one of my friends for a much needed happy hour and we were both in consensus we had to come back to try some other menu items and specials. $7 for the house Sangria and a mule of the day, was a great start to the evening and quite tasty. We both dined on the burger and fries and enjoyed the dish. I would've like a bit of seasoning on the burger patties and maybe a cheddar or American cheese, but that's my personal preference. I asked for the black truffle aioli on the side and that was definitely the way to go to really be able to taste the black truffle. And might I say the aioli was delicious. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The Local offers different specials on various nights and even does live music on Friday nights. This is a great place on the Avenue to enjoy dishes made with ingredients from local businesses and enjoy a delicious meal.
