    Brunch special
    Constance A.

Oh man, if I lived in Quebec, this would be my spot. I'm a big fan of diners. So after seeing that there was a diner within walking distance of my airbnb, I came here upon my arrival. I was immediately greeted by the two staffs that work there. They offered me a sit at the booth but I requested to sit by the window. Upon looking at the menu, I turned to yelp to see if there were any pictures of the food. There were much but I instantly knew I wanted the chicken and waffle. I wouldn't take one star away for this but the one picture of the chicken and waffle on yelp was not the same portion I received. The picture showed two waffle with two chicken breast. I received one waffle with three chicken drumsticks, which was plenty for me. For $13cad, the chicken was very good, nice seasoned and fried. I also got fries which was a generous portion for $5cad. I came here two days later on a Saturday and ordered a hamburger. For $9, I only received a burger, nothing else comes with the burger. I would take one star away for this but I'm sure I'm just being a spoiled American who always order burger at a diner and it comes with fries. I'm on Canadian soil and should not expect anything more. One of the staffs suggested I get poutine. Because when you're in Canada, why not. For $6cad, the poutine was good for the value. While I was eating, I noticed they have a brunch special for the chicken and waffle from 10am to 3pm. So you know what I did... I came here my last day after checking out of my airbnb. I ordered the chicken and waffle the brunch special. The staff told me it comes with free tea. What makes it special is that it comes with an egg! I don't know whether he made a special meal for me because after three days here I was apparently a family member to them. But that brunch special was delicious! And it costed $11cad, $2 less than the regular entree. All this talk about the food. Let me to talk about the decor and atmosphere. It has the typical retro diner vibe. Very 80s looking. The music however was amusing (in a good way). They played oldies music. In one visit, I heard Bob Marley, Elton John, blues music, rock n' roll, among other genres. It was quite entertaining because you never know what type of music is coming up next. TL:DR - Go to this place for delicious food at reasonable price :)

This place has no right to be as popular as it is. I heard nothing but rave reviews about how it's…read moreso amazing and has the best burgers of all time. Have these people never had a burger before? There's nothing wrong with the burgers here, but there's also nothing right about them. They're burgers. Meat, bread, lettuce, sauces..yep. It's a burger. And it's okay. Bland and by-the-book to a fault. It tasted liked they perfected the art of having minimal flavors and ingredients, as if they were weighing the taste of each in a highly technical way. I forgot I even went here by the next day and was only reminded by pictures I took. It's basically the Quebecois version of whatever one step up from an Applebee's would be, but with a premium price tag and hype. Any other burger in town would probably be just as good if not better. Side was pretty bad. Basically burnt tofu. Service was lacking, but there. I was tended to in the most basic 'there's another table to get through' way possible. Check took a long time to get to me and I ended up just walking up to the counter. Not sure why. There weren't a lot of people there. Tons of seating and a pretty nice view, although that's hard to not have in Quebec City. Can't recommend it with so many other options and delicacies not all that far away. Don't go out of your way to come to this place. Location: 4* Convenience: 2* Service: 1* Product/quality: 3* Aesthetics: 1*

For my entree, I had the classic burger with a side Caesar salad. The salad was well dressed and huge. The burger was solid. Basic, but good. Service was great and the restaurant was well decorated, cool, and conveniently located.

I was curious about the classic poutine but when I saw the Mexican poutine on the menu, I knew I had to try it. It was so incredibly delicious! It was classic poutine but with beans, corn and other vegetables with guacamole and sour cream on the side. The atmosphere was very cool with music videos projected on a wall. Our waiter was a sweetheart. All four of us absolutely loved our meals that night. What an awesome way to start our weekend getaway in Quebec!!

We tried the India which was a butter chicken sauce with chicken and mushrooms. It was a fun dish with good flavor gravy. Odd choice to me to put mushrooms in it since I've never had butter chicken with mushrooms. The Chicken was thin sliced, I was expecting more like chunks. Regardless this was a solid 4 in my book. We also tried the Hat Trick which is basically a three meat poutine with bacon, ground beef and hot dogs. This was also solid, not as unique, but good. Probably a 3.75. we ordered the mega sized for both, which made the 2 dishes enough food for 3-4 people depending how hungry you are. We wanted the leftovers. The down side to this experience was the service. The place was nearly empty. The server passed us with a pitcher of water in have and didn't even fill the glasses. When we ordered a diet Pepsi instead of getting a fountain drink we got it in a can (both options were in the menu, fountain was cheaper), why not ask us if not sure what we want? At the end we waited a while to see the server and instead just ended up asking the hostess for our to-go containers. Nothing horrible, just meh. The takeaway, pretty good poutine with not so hot service.
