While out driving around we came across this place, I've seen it a couple times and decided to stop. Cute little shop with a nice vibe and decor. The menu is over the top, like there's a lot of options then you can pick sweetness, how much ice and toppings. Not going to lie I was a little overwhelmed with making all the decisions. I asked the gal working the front to do what she thought was best not the warmest customer service. But whatever she chose (I don't know cause she just said okay) the drinks were delicious. This is one of my favorite boba chains and I'm super happy they have one literally near my area! I would always go to the one in the Irvine or Tustin or Mira Mesa area but I'm glad they have one in Escondido now. My go-to boba drink will always be the Wintermelon boba with golden boba and egg pudding. I will always order online and just pick it up, which they have it super fast. But sometimes there is no one really at the pick up area so I don't know if my order is ready or not. And the other interesting thing is that sometimes my order is a large drink instead of a medium which I'm not complaining. I do want to try other drinks but the Wintermelon will always be my favorite. If you're looking for a good boba, I'd recommend this place and feel free to order online so it's faster to pick up your order too! read more

It was refreshing to find a place that offers balanced flavors I am familiar with as an Asian American. My wife and I had Thai Milk Tea with Boba and we were both excited to taste that it was perfectly sweetened and that the boba was a perfect texture. You can control the levels of sweetness and ice in each drink which is indicative of an authentic drink house like this, which is a great bonus. My son had the Passion Fruit smoothie and said it was delicious. All in all this place was fast, very accommodating and even during covid offered great service and welcoming attitude. Ding Tea is a welcomed addition to the east end of Escondido, there are not many great places to find on that side of town and to now have this, I am happy. I ordered by phone (you can order up to 3 drinks) and walked in and picked it up with no problems at all. In my book, this place far surpasses Sharetea and the like, and feel more like it belongs in the convoy area, thankfully, it's now going to be a frequent stop for us in Escondido! read more

Ding Tea has replaced my afternoon coffee and has become my favorite treat. They have so many different varieties of teas and slushes and some interesting toppings as well. What I like about this place is that you can call in your orders in advance, the customer service is great and you can control the amount of ice/sugar added to your drink. My go to item is the iced passion fruit/green tea with rainbow jelly with half ice and half sugar. I also just noticed they sell huge macaroon ice cream sandwiches and a large variety of smaller ice cream containers. I will need to update my review once I try these out. read more

So my girls and I just had Ding Tea yesterday. We had peach, we had coffee latte, and monster. Everything was ok except my monster drink. It wasn't cold enough and I only tasted the milk before the Carmel so make sure to mixed it a little to get the full taste. The price is comparable but a little on the expensive side for a regular or small size drinks. Yesterday there were way too many people inside the store and there was no order everyone just came in. Also, they had one worker to do the orders and one to take the orders so the line was too long. Overall, price is a little high for the regular size. Size is regular or large. Taste for the 3 boba was okay compare to share tea. Customer service not really friendly and no social distancing rule we have more than 15-20 people at once inside yesterday. read more

I ordered Winter Melon Green Milk Tea with Honey Boba & my partner ordered the Monster Boba Latte with honey boba, and it was delicious! 10/10 for both! Also noticed it's a Vietnamese owned franchise at this location, represent! Location is clean, the staff/employees make sure to repeat your order so it's correct, and time for waiting to get the boba is efficient!!!! VERY satisfied. Best boba in town!!! They have the best boba here, specifically because they let their boba sit in honey, and by the time you order they scoop a fresh/hot one in your cup. When you sip it up, it's very warm, and delicious. Ding tea definitely has the best tapioca boba balls here out of most of the boba shops I've had. I'm glad they opened up Ding Tea here in Escondido. There's a bit wider of a selection of drinks and boba than Sharetea. Personally I think a lot of boba tastes the same, but my boyfriend thinks otherwise so we go here now whenever we want boba. Whenever we go here, idk if it's just me but I feel like it kind of takes a while to get the drink made even though I can see them being made. And sometimes there's like one other person in before us. But regardless it's not super long. I'm probably just impatient. I got the Hokkaido Coffee Slush in Large with Golden Boba (which is their regular black boba) and I didn't think it was that good. It was pretty bitter for coffee. So I don't recommend that drink. It also was really watery. So maybe don't get slush. My boyfriend got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Crystal Boba and oooh wow the crystal boba was so good. So I think I've officially switched over to white/clear boba lol if offered anywhere. His drink tastes way better than mine so I just ended up drinking it. The next time I came back I got the Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea because I love oolong and I also got the crystal boba. Overall thoughts: go generic on your drinks and it'll be good! 5 stars because this is the best place I've had crystal boba. Other places don't compare (granted I've only tried one other place). Terrible ownership/management. The tea is wonderful best I've had in the area. Today i recieved a BOGO text and was so excited to use it . I went in and was told they don't take those texts they called the manager and was told to tell me no. So i pull up the Ding Tea app to use my birthday reward instead and they said they could not honor that either. I was so upset its the whole reason we went in and they do not accept any corporate promotions. So disappointing!!!! read more

We have a great experience getting taro milk tea & strawberry slush love the topping with so many options. Large menu from fresh tea to milk tea and refresher. I did try ding tea a few times not regularly but I love it now it's in Escondido now. They also can adjust the sweet level and iced but the front guy never mentioned so I thought they didn't do that here which mean not big deal. The shop looks nice and lean. Not sure about restroom I didn't see it but looks like they still have to pack a lot of stuffs in the back. Can't be here from grand opening day but finally give it a try. Went here for boba yesterday and got the chocolate milk boba. It was pretty good, but VERY very chocolatey. Almost to the point where I wanted to add oat milk when I got home. Historically I really do my best to leave places honest, helpful and positive reviews and don't go out of my way to find things to complain about (check my reviews for reference) but I was so disappointed to experience a staff who seemed so miserable to be there. I really don't need some over the top experience to be impressed, but these kids couldn't be bothered with a "hi welcome!" or a simple smile in the order taking process. I'll probably still come back to give it another shot in hopes in was a one-off, but was definitely not impressed with the boba or the service. read more

Yeah! Escondido has another high quality Boba tea location! Great staff, many, many wonderful choices in teas and fruit teas. I got my old standby a Honey Green with double bob and is was very delicious. The range of flavors means I have many reasons to comeback and try some of the other varieties. I like that they offer both a small and large size. This is the closest boba tea place to Valley Center. Also directly across from the charter high school and next to the charter grammar school- so might be super busy in the afternoons when school gets out. read more

Don't go to ding tea. Very cheap on toppings. Was excited about this location. But they only gave out 1/3 size of boba toppings compared to the Convoy location. So I always bring my daughter here for her boba fix. She usually get the same thing every time, the large monster boba latte. I find it way too sweet for my taste but she likes it that way. (Her advice is to get a large because it's double the size of the regular for only about 50 cents more.) Last time we went I got a regular matcha green tea latte with 25% ice. I forgot to ask for it to be less sweet so it was too sweet for me and I only ended up finishing half but I know you can ask for it to be less sweet so it's not their fault.
