The biggest glimmer of hope here on the east side of Escondido during this pandemic, has been the soft opening of Ding Tea! Social distancing is enforced, and orders came out quickly, despite how busy they seemed with phone orders also coming in. I'm so glad there's a tea shop nearby now, and even more glad that they have a chance to thrive despite the circumstances. Honestly I enjoy the tea from Ding Tea, all the drinks I have ordered from here are delicious. If you don't want it too sweet you are able to ask for a certain percentage of sweetness. I also like that one of their topping options is crystal boba, my mom's favorite because she says it is not too hard for her to chew. The customer service is what sometimes is a fail to me, that is usually my number one important thing I look for in a place. The customer service is key point, that is why I give them a 4 star rating. read more

I loved the drink but the customer service needs a lot of work. They mess up on a guys order before mine and I called my order in and it was not even ready or correct when I got there. They didn't even ask me level of ice or sugar which makes the drink special to each person. I had to remind the guy in front of me taking my order again. This place is pretty good. They have a wide variety of teas, ice creams, and snack type foods. I've only had Thai Tea with Boba. Their tea is strong and it's cut nicely by the dairy. The boba is pretty good as well. It has a little bit of grittiness to it, but I have found that most boba does ( I have a spot that doesn't and they are definitely my go to if I'm in the area). Overall it's probably a good 3.5 stars on the boba tea scale. read more

It's awesome that they've opened a location in East Escondido! The service was good and I received my drinks promptly. The drinks were well made and weren't too sweet. The only reason I must deduct a star is the fact that they use syrup for the Wintermelon Milk Tea. I had always thought the gourd was boiled and kept cold in a container until I saw them pumping syrup into a measuring cup. Not that it's all that bad but it made my drink suddenly taste artificial? Is this a Ding Tea recipe or just this location? Other than that, I will return for their original milk tea as I know it is actual brewed tea. read more

Don't waste your money here. You pay $6 for a cup of ice and little bit of milk tea. And then you ask the staff whether it's normal and if they can take out some ice and fill up the tea, they told you to order less ice next time. I doubt there will be a next time. read more

Hands down the best and consistently best quality boba place in North San Diego County (and I'm picky!). When my hubby and I started looking for different boba locations in Escondido or Temecula were sticklers for well prepared boba and traditional milk tea quality. They have a wide assortment of drinks and all of them taste delicious - not powdery or fake fruity. Instead their flavors and arrangements of smoothies, teas and slushes match the industry and taste better than any other brands or local shops. More importantly, the boba itself is always perfectly cooked and tastes authentic. We make any excuse to drive through Escondido to grab our favorite drinks - Jasmine a milk tea with boba and mango slushee with boba and lychee. YUM!! read more

Wow, best boba place in town! I saw their soft opening on Facebook for a BOGO 50% off and new I had to try it. It did not disappoint! I got the Large Taro Milk Tea w/ Boba and asked for it half sweetened. It was the perfect amount of sweetness (I don't like too sweet) and I love that it's customizable - they also customize the amount of ice. My husband got the Monster Bobo Latte and I'm obsessed it was SO GOOD. We weren't sure what to expect with the foam and mix of ingredients, but it was amazing! Definitely getting that next time. Drinks are yummy, boba is soft and delicious, probably the best boba pearls I've ever had anywhere. I don't get the most friendly vibe whenever I go there and order but nothing awful, just not very warm/approachable. I really wish they offered non dairy milk alternatives. I ordered the Hokkaido Coffee Slush and was told that it contains dairy free creamer - it wasn't dairy free, being lactose intolerant is no fun. It sucks because I asked for a reason and to have discovered later by horrible stomach pains that it did contain dairy was so disappointing. The staff at this location are very nice. Gave good descriptions of the drinks along with what was in each. I ordered a classic milk tea with boba and a tai milk tea with boba. Both were made relatively quick and they tasted very good! The only thing about this location I wasn't a fan of was the seating environment, although it was clean the overall decor of the place seemed a bit thrown together. This place is usually really good. I went in today to pick up a mobile order, I ordered a green tea with aloe vera and sea salt cream. The tea tasted watered down and they barely put any sea salt cream on top, I didn't even taste it. Just disappointing because they are generally pretty consistent. Almost $6 for a drink I did not enjoy, the sea salt cream upon mixing it was also clumpy, like it had been sitting for a while. I'm not sure if I will be back.
