The ice cream cake is one of the best I've had. Layer of mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip, surrounded by a chocolate cookie crumble and cookie sprinkles on top. SO, SO, SO Good. The apple dessert was equally delicious and gave off Xmas / Holiday vibes. They do have espresso, though it seemed like it's not used much as the person had to check if we could order decaf cappuccinos. Those were alright and in the future, I may go without coffee or a decaf black instead. No tipping, which is the first time I've been a restaurant with this policy. My favorite item on their appetizer menu is the cheese plate. I don't like crackers so I've started ordering it with some extra apple slices instead of the crackers. The goat cheese panna cotta itself is delicious but the best part is that the seasonal sides are amazing and change very frequently. It's a positive example of a dish never being exactly the same. I've always had great service at the bar. The only complaint I've heard was from a grad student we know who ordered multiple items and didn't realize they forgot his entree until everyone at the table was almost done eating. Thankfully the group had plenty to talk about so they didn't mind it being a long dinner. Finally... the drinks. The only regret I've had was ordering a beer when they have such a fantastic cocktail menu. I am a fan of their non alcoholic cocktails currently but I do enjoy occasionally ordering from the main menu.

The mural behind the bar is a masterpiece on its own, and the lighting, layout, and attention to detail made the atmosphere feel upscale yet inviting. The upstairs has the kitchen and dining area. But there's also the downstairs, basement dining and bar which practically lends to a speakeasy vibe. Each time I've visited I've opted for the bar, as I'm usually dining solo. The menu is small, but the food is done so well. I also look at the specials. One time they offered an Ivory King Salmon, I've never heard of it before and looked it up. Apparently it's very rare and makes up on 5% of King Salmon species. Super glad I ordered it, it's buttery, mild flavor reminded me of black cod. But their other menu items are nothing to ignore. I've had the roasted marinated lamb, and they also offer $15 dollar pasta Wednesdays. Recently I had the Linguine with meatballs, it tasted homemade - like the Nonna's were in the kitchen! IF I have space for dessert, I usually opt for the gallette or cheesecake, both are worthy options to end a satisfying meal. First, we started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, and I have to say this was really good The bread pieces were plentiful and really well-coated with oil, which made them pretty enjoyable to eat on their own, but especially so when the dip was included. This dip had a lot of cheese - and yet it didn't taste excessively so; rather maintain a great balance between the vegetables and the cheese in its mixture to provide a perfect complement for the bread Moving on to the main dish, I thought the pizza was pretty fantastic I'm a pretty big fan of cream/alfredo based pizza bases rather than red/tomato based ones, so by default I'm partial to this, but I'm just really impressed by the quality of the pizza here. Probably my favorite pizza taste-wise I've had is a alfredo-based pan pizza from Dominos, and while I think that tastes better due to amount of oil/butter used in that one, I think that this pizza may have the best combination of taste and quality I've seen. This manages to taste really good despite not including that amount of oil, which indicates its high quality The mushrooms are really good - they're cooked well and seem to be marinated in this sauce that's a bit of a mix between wine and tomato juice, which coats each one with a solid amount of flavor. The garlic shines through here as an omnipresent figure as well. There isn't much cheese in this pizza but what is there is pretty good - and mixes really well with the cream base to produce something that's really good tasting Also, the egg on the middle spread the yolk throughout the bottom of each slice, which tasted fantastic I do have a couple downsides with the pizza, though For one, it's a bit too thin. This leads it to be almost cracker-like, as there's really no depth to each bite. I recognize this is the traditional Italian style, but it's just a bit too thin for me - I could've used more cream / cheese with each bite, along with just more dough This results in the pizza not being very filling - which is a good thing in some respects as you can finish the entire thing without feeling stuffed - but it'll also lead you to being hungrier quickly later The second thing is that the crust was super chewy and hard - it was actually not easy to get through as my jaw would hurt halfway through finishing the crust of each piece. The price here is pretty reasonable (around 20) , and the portion size is pretty large, albeit not overly filling
