We ordered to go family chef salad and a large 505 pizza. We have loved Dion's but it definitely has been a few years. The pizza was a little greasy but I enjoyed it as the green chiles were nice and spicy. The Chef Salad was something recently our friends had brought over. We ordered it with the croutons on the side. The salad did not disappoint either as the ingredients were fresh. I ordered it on my way home from an appointment and the service was outstanding. The staff ensured I knew how long my wait time was and didn't forget that I ordered a pizza sauce for home. My rating was based on the reheat effort that was on the side of the box. 375 for 6-8 minutes. We attempted this method and the pizza literally fell apart almost crumbled. Guess I would have eaten leftovers cold or slightly heated up in the microwave. Anyways super clean establishment and super friendly! read more

But jeez, last time I ordered the 505, which should be their specialty, it seemed like they dumped an entire can of green chiles on it without draining it. The restaurant was hopping on a Friday night, but I was able to pick up a pizza 30 minutes after I ordered it, which seems an appropriate time to me. It was clear that the team members working were doing a great job and hustling while still making a connection with the customers. When the cashier asked me how my day was, and I said great because we were excited to try this place for the first time, he asked if I liked ranch. Dion's has some very average pizza but also had the worst brownie I've ever had. For the pizza we had the 505 which has pepperoni and green chiles. Crust: The crust is a fairly thick crust with no crispness on the bottom. The crust edge was actually pretty good with it being chewy and enough salt for it to have flavor. The bottom in the center was fairly wet due to either grease or the toppings. Cheese: Plenty of cheese and topped with a little bit of Parmesan to add some flavor. Toppings: The pepperoni was cooked nicely where there was a good crispness on the edges. The green chiles are a real problem. Flavor wise they make it spicier which is a great addition however can be a bit overpowering. The real issue is the texture and wetness the green chiles add. The green chiles are soggy and have a terrible texture to them for a pizza. They also make the rest of the pizza wet. It's a terrible addition that really ruins the pizza. We also got meatballs and they were completely average. Very homogeneous and the sauce was bland. The brownie was awful. It is more like a chocolate cake than a brownie. It also was not very flavorful or sweet, where the only sweetness came from the chocolate drizzle on top. The texture and flavor were both not what is expected of a brownie. In previous visits, I've had the special pizza and it was the worst pizza I've ever had. I hoped that this visit would have fixed it by limiting the number of toppings but the green chiles are a true issue. Won't be back. read more

Instead of focusing on your friends and messing around you should be doing your jobs. I ordered a pizza at 7:52pm got told it would take 20 minutes to cook and make. Finally got tired of waiting to be called 30 minutes later I walked over to the counter where you can watch the pizza being made only 2 pizzas but both sitting out getting cold and the guy said something of oh well. So ok cool this is why you guys will not have a good call from corporate. I will be reporting this to corporate. Took my pizza back to get reheated which honestly if you guys are going to mess around behind the counter you should be remaking the pizza. First and foremost, I have been in LOVE with Dion's Pizza since my first bite at their first location in Albuquerque, NM in 1980 during lunch from Eldorado HS!! Needless to say, I've been SO thrilled ever since they opened a location here is Colorado Springs. The Dion's Special is our go-to because of the fabulous green chile! None of that nasty canned excuse, but authentic tasty chopped green chile!! Their ranch dressing and Greek dressing have remained the same throughout the years, as has the taste, quality and value of their pizzas, salads and sandwiches. I was excited to see that a delivery option was added to their app ordering system, but I was sad to see that I cannot get delivery to my home. Ordering via DoorDash isn't an option, as I REFUSE to do business with a greedy corporate entity with all of their outrageous 'service fees' on top of the 'free' DashPass (subscription) delivery. For the record, DoorDash posted a GAAP net income attributable to DoorDash, Inc. common stockholders which increased to $285 MILLION for Q2 2025 alone. Not only is the food delicious and the restaurant is relatively quiet for a girls luncheon, but the service always goes above and beyond. Dillon Roney, the young man that takes our orders is exactly the kind of employee every business wants. He's so friendly and so welcoming that he's definitely the person you want greeting customers as they enter. One time I came in and just had him choose my pizza for me...and it was delicious! This last visit I ordered a salad and it was delicious as well. Maybe not as appetizing as a pizza but I'm on a diet and Dion's does not skimp on the salads. They are always loaded no matter which salad you get so hats off to the person making salads as well. I love that Chris (I hope I've got the correct name here) comes around checking on customers to make sure nothing is needed. Great pizza and service. We have been back several times as we make it a point to stop when we visit family in the area.

First time visitors. We were impressed with the bright clean, open dining room and easy to understand menu when you ordered the counter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to order a medium, veggie pizza with pepperoni added. The medium said it was 14 inches and we were a little surprised at how huge it was when it got to our table. It tasted delicious although it was slightly odd to have it be somewhat spicy. After double checking the menu, we saw that there were green chilies on it, which we both enjoyed. The veggies were crisp and fresh and tasted great. The crust was crunchy and yet still very flavorful My only slight criticism would be that the ingredients were not consistently spread across the pizza. For example, one slice might have several mushrooms, black olives, and tomato, while another piece had no mushrooms, but lots of green peppers and onions. You were quite hungry and managed to finish the whole piece! We plan to come back soon. read more

We decided to stop and have pizza for dinner after our flight back to CO. I had the idea of 'trying a new place' and this was where we stopped based on reviews. An absolutely phenomenal surprise that's entirely too close to our house. We got that pizza craving tonight, wanted to try something new, but were also hopeful it would fill that "fast food" pizza craving without the excessive grease. So we pulled the trigger on DoorDash and tried it. We started our order with garlic bread, which comes with warm marinara sauce (strange, but welcome). It was crispy and fresh, not overwhelmingly garlicky or buttery. We built our own small pizza (exactly enough for 2 people for dinner) with bell pepper, onion, olives, fresh tomato, pineapple, and pepperoni, and both agreed it was the best pizza we've ever had (they do top it with some italian seasoning and spices that are a welcome addition, and the crust was fluffy as well), with a reasonable amount of grease. The finale was a walnut brownie that was pretty good, but they're not made locally. Far and away, the best part of this meal was the ranch dressing! It comes in a large container for the side option, and nothing improves a pizza as much as a good ranch dressing for me. My husband and I came here looking for some yummy subs. Instead, we got some expired "Dion's Greek sauce" and an Italian sub with no Italian dressing. The staff were all too busy on their phones to check and make sure nothing else was expired. Maybe that's why my fruit cup also tasted sour? When my husband approached the staff about our expired sauce all he got was a "sorry bud." The sandwiches were a good size and very filling, but not with the price we paid. Especially since the expired food really spoiled our appetites. Additionally, none of the tables were being sanitized between customers and there was a bottle on one of the tables implying that guests were supposed to do it themselves. Dions is my favorite pizza joint to take the family. We take a board game or cards, get a pitcher of lemonade and the cheese bread. The kids love to watch the workers make the pizzas and usually they put on a great show throwing dough! Dinner always has enough leftovers for an extra meal. It's just a nice family joint. read more
