The lasagna was delicious and it came with garlic bread but I could only eat half the serving so I have some left for another day. When my mom came to visit for a few days, she wanted to try some local food she doesn't have at home. She wanted to know our go to pizza place & I told her we've eaten from several pizza places & none were consistent enough to be called out "go to". She began looking on DoorDash & asked what I knew about Mici Italian & sadly, I knew nothing. So, she decided this would be a first time for everyone! We ordered the 16" Formaggio w/extra cheese & salami. Ordering was very simple & it arrived rather quickly. I love their box & we had a good chuckle. When I opened the box, I was thrilled to see what I would expect a good pizza to look like!!! The crust looked spectacular, there was truly extra cheese & it didn't look super saucy. I was surprised by the salami being chunks, I've always had thin slices. Overall, this was exactly what we have been looking for in a pizza. The crust was firm enough to fold a slice, but not too crispy that it snapped in half. Slice size was good, there were 4 of us, eating 2 slices each & no one was hungry at the end. The only thing that all of us said we would have changed was the meat topping we chose. The chunks of salami were a bit much & it seemed to be the first & strongest flavor you got. The sauce & cheese were an "aftertaste". I want to clarify that it wasn't bad, it was just an awkward shape & not something I would get in the future. With that being said, we've already talked about what toppings we may want to try instead. I have my eyes on ordering a Vela next, I make this exact pizza at home when the family wants homemade pizza & seeing ricotta on a menu item made me ecstatic. I'm excited to add Mici into my list of spots, when we're looking for some dinner out. Their menu includes many different options, not just pizza, which was exciting to see!! My friend was given a salad that was first giving to a different customer by mistake. The caprese salad was the most disappointed, they use cherry tomatoes drenched in salt instead of heirloom tomatoes and tiny pieces of basil, more of a "decoration" than anything, which was the first one that serve to me had a hair in it, and it was exchanged right away, no balsamic vinegar just more salt. I ordered three pasta dishes to-go for Valentine's Day (Spaghetti with meatballs, Alfredo with chicken, and Pesto Pasta). Flavor was okay and speed for take out was great. However, within an hour of eating the food (mind you this is the only meal we had on Valentine's Day) I was throwing up everywhere. We get weekly emails from MICI. The last 2 weeks it was a free 10" cheese pizza with purchase. They wouldn't honor this and said they "no longer use that service". Staff was nice and food came out very quickly while we were waiting in the truck. Pizza was hot and fresh. Crust was crispy outside and soft and chewy inside the pizza crust should be. Meats were all very good. Pizza had the perfect amount of cheese and didn't not have too much sauce which is a huge bonus. Lemon Gelato was soft and refreshing. The calzones were interesting and different....I would try them again. I liked that I could taste what was in them; and not just all bread like many places. The sauce was outstanding! Also, they did not leave out the essential ricotta! However, the Italian sausage was a fail - apparently the "family recipe" has been entrusted to the hippies at the commissary. They must have smoked all the seasoning, because the flavor was missing. Overall, prices were high...but, we are willing to give this place a second chance because of the sauce....oh - and the cannoli, which was very good. read more

The pizza sauce tastes great too and the cheese and toppings are just right. Overall an excellent pie. I talked to an employee and she told me they make the dough from statch everyday.
