"Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose." Zora Neale Hurston In the names of both "research" and "curiosity", it was impossible to ignore that one of our Review Team Members dove into her dessert LONG before her pizza arrived. Additional data clearly needed to be acquired in an attempt to explain this phenomenon. Our initial hypothesis concluded that the laws of attraction didn't apply based solely upon the name of the dessert. "Mod No Name Cake" just isn't a head turner when you glimpse it on the posted signage. However, the taste does a nice job of compensating for the shortcomings of its name. I'm hopeful that if you skipped ahead and glanced at the pics that you reached the same conclusion that we did: in the name of Science we gotta see how this compares to it's likely forefather, the "Ding Dong!!!" A quick stop at the store on the way home and we acquired the raw materials necessary for this experiment. Although all of our lab participants reached consensus that additional research will be required before formally publishing our findings, our initial conclusions are that the "Mod No Name Cake" is the unanimous favorite of all test groups. Oh, and in case you were wondering what the pizza was like at the pizza joint: *You can build your own pizza with as many toppings as you like for one price. *They also offer 9 traditional selections available (I went with the "Jasper" in honor of our "Mountain Dog" Review Team Member (who was not present). *They offer 8 "Finishing Sauces" for your enjoyment. *They offer 2 crust thicknesses and ours was really fresh and light. *They offer 4 salad options if that's more your angle. And that's...Henry's Take. #modpizza #pizzainthesprings

    The view

The food was amazing and my kiddos loved watching their pizza being made. One worker seemed to be a bit annoyed that I asked to leave onions off my bbq chicken pizza because she didn't hear it before she jumped in but we did come in about an hour before close. Otherwise, service was great. Loved the environment and the view was beautiful. Picture perfect mountain scene. We didn't come while it was in use but really enjoy when restaurants have the glass garage doors that they open up in nicer weather.

This is not a well done pizza. It's barely cooked

Absolutely garbage. Ordered on their app, go there and they don't keep the pizzas warm while waiting so I was given stone cold pizza. In addition Ordered well done pizza, they barely cooked the pizza. Also ordered with side sauces, none were given.

BURNT PIZZA and no refund. The pizza was so burnt on the bottom that it wasn't palatable. The first half wasn't too bad, but it just got worse. Asked for at least a partial refund and the short female worker refused because part of it had been eaten. Kept saying that they were trained not to give refunds if any of the pizza was eaten. Clearly we weren't trying to scam them, the pizza was BURNT! Was told it was because the oven has hot spots. So clearly, burning half the pizza and serving it is fine. Instead of, I don't know, learning how to use the oven coy and avoid burning the pizzas.

I haven't been here for years and surprisingly my husband hasn't had this too. Great pizza! You can modify it and add whatever toppings you'll like! Serve hot and fresh! Crispy crust and flavorful toppings. Love the pesto and roasted garlic. Mini greek salad was almost good for 2 people, very generous in servings. Cheesy garlic bread could use more garlic flavor but it is super cheesy wish I could've added roasted garlic! Ranch is a must to every pizza. Costumer service is great. Service was quick and easy too. The place is clean, well stocked and welcoming. We'll be back for sure! Reasonably priced!

    Here's the sad little pizza.

The reviews made me think this was a good idea...it was not. We were traveling and didn't know the area. Maybe it would have been better if it wasn't take out? One of the 2 stars is because my 6 year old loved her pizza. The other one is because it wasn't truly awful once I used the hotel microwave to warm it up. The place looked clean and nice enough, so I didn't worry until I went to pay. I know prices are higher when you visit some places, so I expected it to be a little more pricey than where we live. When I asked for my order the cashier simply asked if the stack she was pointing at was mine. Lol - picture included of my 6" across $10 pizza.

All the hair that you can get!!!
    ALINA V.

THEY ARE JUST DISGUSTING! The girls and some boys have their long hair loose on top of the food and they don't care. They don't care about what you are asking for they are just throwing toppings on the pizza as they please. I asked for mushrooms, but they didn't added any. Instead I got a lot of onions which I am allergic to. When I called this to her attention, she got so closed to my pizza that she laid all her long and loose hair on my pizza. I told her that I don't want that pizza with all that hair on it, she ignored me and she just kept going. BTW, they don't even know their own recipes.

Forgot what this was called but you can modify as you wish :)

This place was really good and low key. The restaurant/space itself was BIG, very roomy. Most importantly the food was good and pretty quick. My son enjoyed it a lot, also. You can create your own or order one from the selection. Would def visit this chain (at this location) again.

Mega regular crust supposedly mega dough pizza
    Heather P.

I went in to get the "mega dough" pizza based on the pictures I saw online. I love a thick chewy crust and was excited to try it. I was mega disappointed that is wasn't fat and doughy like I was expecting. The taste was just ok but I paid extra for this mega dough and it definitely fell flat.

Is it hard to cut a pizza evenly?
    D C.

Unfortunately was not made to feel welcome when I picked up my pizza. They were not busy but went way past the pick up time for my online order so I was asked to wait at a table. When we got home the pizza was cut so poorly it was hard to divide evenly between two people (see photo) A little effort can go a long way but maybe I'm asking too much?

Does anyone know if they still have mix ins for their shakes? I know the mod I used to go to had them but one day they stopped and I was wondering if that was a universal move. Loved that cookie dough in my shake:/

I was there a few weeks ago and the girl in front of me in line got a lemon mix in her shake, it was the only flavor on their menu at the time

The pizza was well balanced from a flavor standpoint, but I did wish that it had more sausage. If the pizza was a bit more crispy, I would have given this spot a 5 star rating. If you like softer pizzas, this could be the right place for you.

Finding the restaurant on Yelp was also a bit confusing because the name is somewhat misleading. Despite that, once we arrived, the restaurant made a great first impression. The space is nicely decorated and fully embraces the classic diner aesthetic. My friends and I ordered the Atomic Burger, wings, and Sully Fries. The burger was definitely the highlight of the meal. The patty was cooked well, juicy, and satisfying. The wings had a nice crispy texture and a flavorful sauce, though they were a bit on the smaller side. The Sully Fries were crispy and loaded with toppings, but the gravy and toppings made them overwhelmingly salty. We ended up wiping some of the toppings off just to better enjoy the fries themselves. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately, and our server was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer all of our questions about the menu. Overall, we had a great experience. While there was some initial confusion finding the place and missing out on the biscuits, the food, atmosphere, and service made it a worthwhile stop during our visit to Denver. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

This pizza place was literally two doors down, and I am so glad we stopped. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives, and I can honestly say this is probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life. The cheese alone deserves its own shoutout. The cheese pull when you lift a slice is unreal--I've never seen a pizza do that before. The flavor was absolutely perfect. And coming from someone who normally doesn't even like pizza sauce, I loved their sauce. Whatever marinara they use is seasoned perfectly--great flavor, not overpowering, and just the right amount. They didn't skimp on the cheese either (which I very much appreciate). Everything about this pizza just worked--the crust, the toppings, the sauce, the cheese--perfect balance all around. *this is only for drinks*…read more I will say, I've been to Stellina in Northern Virginia and the food there was fantastic. But I haven't tried anything at this location. What I did try was the stellina spritz flight. So that's what I'll be reviewing! For $10 during HH, you can try 3 of Stellina's spritzes. The classic aperol, blackberry ginger, and lemon lime. All of which were so delicious and well balanced. And for $10, this is a great deal! I believe $12 usually. Now I like a classic aperol (they just call it the Stellina) spritz, but it's fun to try some different flavors! The second best is lemon lime and I'd say my third choice is blackberry ginger. But they're all good and you can't go wrong. So here's the thing--this place is more of a place and order and sit. Less of a restaurant with full service. I don't mind it! The patio was super nice and covered, but the sun still came through. On a nice day, I loved it. But we ordered and then it was all brought to our table pretty quick. I've heard people rave about this place for years and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! Both were really yummy- my husband and I shared them. The homemade pasta really made a difference- it was so good! I found the chew of the pasta absolutely perfect. The flavor of the pasta dish was mild but delicious. The risotto was flavorful (maybe a little too salty) and very comforting. The portions looked a little small for the price but it's high quality food and we were both fully satisfied. They have a happy hour special for buy one get one small scoops of their homemade gelato (yay!) and that was delicious too. I got the mint stracciatella and my husband had the pistachio- both were top notch. The restaurant didn't seem to have air conditioning and was very very warm. I would have been grumpy if I was dining in. They do have some outside picnic tables and maybe a back patio too. It's super super cute and seemed very popular and a great place to meet people for dinner and drinks. The staff seemed to be working very hard. It took awhile to be served at the counter and I think they forgot to take my number to text me when my order would be ready so it felt a little confusing to know when my order would be ready and it ended up being about a half hour. There is free street parking! Overall I think this is a great quality place that I definitely want to return to!!
