Horrible. the only good thing i can say about this place is they have cheap drinks. I went to have dinner and was appalled that it smelled of cigarette smoke throughout the entire place, i lost my appetite as soon as i walked in there. there were people hanging out drinking in the parking lot and all kids too! if the scary looking people hanging around out front or fighting doesn't scare you away, the kids getting beat up and thrown around inside the dance floor should! it was a serious train wreck inside that place. security is just standing at the door she (yes i said she) doesn't even deal with the problems inside the girls bathroom, outside in parking lot or dance floor area where security should be roaming the building keeping people who dint want trouble safe!, she is like one of those guards in London, maybe ill bring her one of those hats so she can look the part. I tried to see what all the hype was about the entertainment, but it was just a bunch of disrespectful punk bands that scream so loud you cant hear yourself think. when i arrived i was told it was $8 to get in, i looked at her like she was crazy and then she asked was i there to see a band and i again looked at her like she was crazy, seriously? Did i look like someone there to see THAT? She smiled and said if i would like to enjoy the bar or have dinner i can come in free and sit towards the left. why? what was so different on the left, other than maybe i wouldn't be stampeded to death! the left is the worst place to sit if you want to enjoy dinner, because of all the cigarette smoke and other smoke pouring through the doors into the dining area, not to mention people sitting at the bar smoke those vapor cigs, the place is just disgusting period. i cant comment on the food because i didn't stay past one drink after i saw how rowdy it was starting to get, that security guard would have her hands full if she ever left the door. while having my drink i observed some guy screaming and hitting the video game, made me jump out of my seat a couple times, i also observed someone who looked as though he was a regular there, he knew everyone by name and he was by himself, so i asked him what was so great about this place and he simply said, "i can walk home". i asked what his thoughts were about their "security" in the place and he just smiled and said "she can handle herself i dint worry" OK dipstick, maybe she can handle HERSELF, but can she handle the riff Raff messing with everyone else? what about me being safe getting to my car? what about the young girls i saw showing up for the music? does anyone get walked to their car? i also asked him about the smell, and this i thought was kind of hilarious, he openly said, with all the sweat smell from people dancing it just masked the cigarette smoke, well there you have it, a beautifully painted picture of where NOT to eat a fine Italian meal or even a greasy pizza! Sorry DIpiaza, clean that place up and you might have a nice little pizzeria. read more

let me make this clear . going into the restaurant i've never had a problem good food, good service awesome place to watch bands play... I ordered delivery though !!! worst ever , I asked for no onions on anything and i got extra onions on everything completely ruined my dinner I spent 53 dollar's on take out for my girlfriend myself and a few friends we got chili cheese fries that had so many onions it was like chili cheese onions (scratch the fries), gross ! the mozzarella sticks tasted like cardboard, like they had been reheated from a week ago. the pizza was good after I picked out the giant chunks of onions that I had requested none of worst delivery experience ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've frequented DiPi's ever since they filled the hallowed bowling lanes of the late Tiki-inspired long beach institution known as Java Lanes with an unmistakable aroma of garlic & fresh baked dough. The owner, Mark has always supported local bands & artists. The 90's punk scene was inviting but I stayed for the Pizza. One wrecking ball, 15yrs, one mile south on PCH later and DiPi's hosts a more diverse array of live music (weekday Jazz, big band, etc ) to compliment their growing menu. ----------------------------- Tip: their appreciation for up-&-coming bands is sometimes borderline charity so If you plan to dine in, you might want to call ahead of time to make sure the latest teen "screamo" band isn't playing an intimate set for 200 of their closest high school buddies. read more

So much bad has happened at Dipiazzas over the last year or so. They've become cheap with ingredients, so the quality has gone wayy downhill. I've been ordering delivery for a couple of years now, and the last four or five pizzas delivered to me came with the cheese not even completely melted even after my requests for it to be cooked well done (which they used to be more than happy to do in the past.) In-house service has also gone way downhill. They seem to have done away with their entire Saturday evening staff, replacing them with their daughter who can't mix drinks to save her soul, who from what I can see spends most of her time harassing the male bartenders and wait staff. It's sad to see a former favorite fall so deep into the crapper. read more

DiPiazza's...where everybody knows your name. I love the lounge feel of this place. We like coming here with our kiddos too. Food is yummy. Service is great. We get it delivered a lot as well. I love the pizza, broken hearts, salads, wings and fries. Their Irish Nachos rule. The kids love the chicken tenders and pizza. Been here to see many bands play. The range of music and entertainment is crazy! We've been coming for years and will keep coming back for many more. If you are bringing kids, I would recommend calling before to make sure they aren't packed, or having a speed metal band that night. read more

We were hungry, we were tired and we looked on yelp for some pizza that wasn't "fast food" pizza (no names mentioned here). I ordered a medium pizza and a wedge salad for my husband and I to share. I paid online, including the tip, and the dinner arrived in less time than quoted and it was delicious! Definitely doing this again. DiPiazza, you didn't disappoint! I have only been here twice, but was pretty pleased both times. They have a huge bar selection and yummy beers on tap (but not as many as you might hope for, being a kinda pizza place). I actually have never had the pizza, but I hear good things. I came for a show one Thursday night. $7 cover, not too bad. The stage is small, but it suits the famous-ness of the bands that play there. Overall, a friendly ambience and good experience. Only downside = no happy hour specials :( read more

Sunday was great, a friend of mine played in his band there and the sound was great. I peeked at the sound board and its different from the last time I was there. The chick doing sound is super cool. I freakin love this place. The vibe is so good and they are so nice to me. I am shy and have a hard time feeling comfortable at a lot of spots where live music is so this is so nice for me. Amazing view of The Building! What isn't so amazing is your bill at the end of the night. This is the kind of place where I go for one drink on a nice night and then go get another somewhere else that's easier on the wallet.
