Great local hang. Like the old school whiskey bar feel. Whisky sampler is fun, also the vodka tonic and Pino Noir very good. Bartenders are super friendly and good poor. Table service w smash burgers, wings, and avacado toast is yummy. Like to sit in leather chairs in front window peeking out open windows. Lots of outside tables. Local hang. Panama joes next door is just too crazy and this is much quieter and has all the Big TVs w sports but not crazy loud. Great happy hour. Regular hang go-to bar for us.

Definitely one the BEST Happy Hours on 2nd Street! Food, drink, and service. Heavenly Burger (Smash Burger) for $5.55! Bites are amazing! Brussel Sprouts, Fries and Tater Tots. House Margarita for $9. Old Fashions for $12. Truly great deals and high quality! We loved our drinks. Margaritas were perfect and you can tell not made from an acidic mix! House made! Old Fashions made just right! Our Bartender/Server was Ryan. So friendly and helpful. Our friend wanted a seasonal drink they offered last Spring and he did his best to reprise it! We love their comfy booths and atmosphere! Every visit has been a great experience. We went a few times when they were serving Tomahawk Steaks! Some of the best ones we have had! We will be back!

    The best whiskey.

Rachel is amazing. If you want an alchemist to make you some magic, come here! The energy is great, conversations, helpful deciding on drink choices. Overall, so hlad we stbled upon this place on 2nd St. Customer service is the best!!! All vibes.

Decent whiskey bar with okay food. We went for Happy Hour which is from 3-6 pm daily. I had the $6 whiskey shots, which were decent. We tried the Goat Cheese Balls and Onion rings. Our bartender Rachel was friendly and helpful. Decor is simple but decent with comfortable seats. They offer a decent membership program with 2 free tastings every month and 1 bottle of whiskey. I am thinking of joining. Overall it's a decent bar with a new concept and a worthwhile addition to 2nd St.

Wow, I definitely thought I left my review for Angel's Share and JUST realized I didn't. I visited in December when they had all the cute holiday decor. My friend and I actually stopped here after a pretty Long Beach walk/walk in the area and conveniently arrived during happy hour. The waiter was incredibly kind (sad I forgot her name!) and attentive, and of course during this time of year, the lights and decorations were super inviting and fun. We enjoyed a couple of their seasonal cocktails based on the waiter's recommendations and enjoyed both. The food was decent. We did not like the Mac and cheese, but the burger, while simple, was great! Visiting was outside of our plans that day, but we were happy spontaneity lead us there.

TL;DR: We were overcharged by a lot. Make sure you get an itemized bill and don't trust the total that the credit card machine shows you. After my first attempt to visit Angel's Share went poorly, management reached out and invited me to give them another try. I appreciate when restaurants take constructive feedback seriously so I got a group of friends together and went back on a weekday afternoon to check out their special holiday decor/menu. We arrived at 3 pm and the restaurant wasn't opened. We ended up waiting 30 minutes past opening time before the restaurant finally opened. The bartender/server (there was only one scheduled) explained there had been a personal issue which caused the delay. Things happen, no worries, we sat down and were excited to order. They have a small space and most of the seating is curved booths or bar seating, so they aren't really equipped to handle groups. Our group of six just about fit in one of the curved booths very cozily. I wouldn't recommend trying to visit with a larger group. The place filled up pretty quickly and it was obvious they were understaffed. It took a long time for the one bartender, who was also the only server, to get around to all of the tables to take orders and even longer to make drinks. This wasn't her fault, management should have hired more staff, especially while they were in the middle of the busy holiday season. The kitchen also appeared to be staffed by one person who was both cooking and bringing out the finished dishes. Our drinks, when we got them, were good. They have those big square ice cubes and even stamp them with their logo, which was a fun touch. Some of our food orders came out wrong the first time, and the kitchen person argued with us a little at first when we mentioned it, then later came back with the corrected items and acquiesced that we had been right about the orders. Even with the late opening, slow service, and wrong food I'd have given this visit a generous four stars, but multiple people in my party were overcharged, so I've dropped it down to two stars. Happy hour items weren't rung up at happy hour prices, and because we were a group of six (although we had separate bills) a gratuity was automatically added to each bill. The gratuity would have been fine if anyone had told us. However, since Angel's Share uses those electronic payment machines, we only saw our total, we never received an itemized bill so four of the six of us paid the wrong price for HH items PLUS tipped on top of a bill that already included gratuity. I an one other person stuck around after most of the party left and so were the last people to check out. When it came my turn to pay, the total seemed high so I asked out server and that's when she realized the HH price mix-up and told us that gratuity was included in the total. She fixed the issue for our two bills, but did not offer to do anything for the people who had already paid and left. After two disappointing experiences, I won't be back.

Lynn and Laurel would not stop talking about Angel's Share, and the FOMO was real!!! So I grabbed my boyfriend and rushed over to check out their Christmas theme and cocktails. We had a reservation but arrived a little early and asked the hostess if we could just sit at the bar instead. She said no problem at all. We came in around 6:30pm, which might be an odd sweet-spot time, because we were able to snag a couple of bar seats right away! The entire place is fully decked out for the holidays, super cozy, festive, and so cute. They're currently running a special holiday cocktail menu, so we ordered from that. Rachel was behind the bar and took great care of us despite how busy it was. I started with a Classic Old Fashioned and followed it up with a Smoked Old Fashioned both great choices. My boyfriend also ordered the Old Fashioned and Making Christmas, and I have to say, his drink was actually really good! Angel's Share is small and gets very busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. If you're planning to eat here, just know the food menu is limited and food can take a while. We had already eaten and came mainly for drinks, but my boyfriend ordered onion rings to snack on. I tried them, but they were falling apart and not really my thing. For me, Angel's Share is perfect for a festive, post-dinner cocktail or a quick drink with friends but not necessarily a spot I'd choose to dine at. Great atmosphere, fun seasonal cocktails, and definitely worth a visit during the holidays.

Great Vibes!! We let Rachel serve us whatever she wanted and our drinks were excellent!! I will come back every time I'm in LBC!

I revisited Angel's Share during the Christmas pop-up, and the vibes inside were super cute and festive! The cocktail napkins were themed, and the holiday drinks had cute Christmas tree and gingerbread man toothpicks to tie everything together. The server who took care of my group gave good drink recommendations and checked in on us regularly to refill our water cups, which was nice. As for the food, one of the highlights were the brussels sprouts, which were perfectly crispy and balsamic glazed up. I ordered the patty melt sandwich, which initially arrived at my table without the caramelized onions advertised on the menu. I just let my server know and she took it back to the kitchen to add the caramelized onion. It tasted MUCH better with the caramelized onions included. My friend ordered the heavenly burger for $5.55 during happy hour, which is a great deal. She enjoyed the burger, however upon picking it up, the bottom burger bun split in half, which was inconvenient to eat. Overall the food was tasty, just some minor hiccups listed above. Our group enjoyed our experience at Angel's Share.

Erica is the best bartender. She always makes our friends and I feel so welcomed + entertained! She makes really great drinks even if she doesn't have all the ingredients she whips something even better up!

Food: 5/5 Mussels, drinks, appetizers were delicious. Drinks were pretty strong and good. Old fashion was awesome, espresso martini was made well! Service: 5/5 Staff was quick and inviting. Great team. Ambience: 3/5 Interior is great, outdoor seating is interesting. Ground had a slight slope but overall worked well.

I came here with family to celebrate our annual Christmas white elephant gift exchange. The food was good. I ordered the house salad with bacon and shared the mussels with my sister. Those mussels with the sourdough bread paired so well and was prepared perfectly. My sister also ordered the snowman cocktail which I took sips from and it was strong but still good. Our server and staff were kind and friendly enough to take our picture. The establishment was decorated with holiday vibes and we sat outside since the booths inside were a little small to accommodate 6 of us. We parked on the street and made reservations so we were seated right away. Come check this place out for a bite to eat and a refreshing beverage.

This place is very cute and definitely worth trying. We came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. They greeted us and sat us down immediately. I think our servers name was Billy and he was great. We only ate appetizers but what we ate was delicious. The cauliflower was cooked very well. The Goat cheese balls were very good, and paired perfectly with the apple and honey that came with it. Fries were also great. We got wings which were alright but honestly my least favorite of the night. The drinks here are a very good, a lot of whiskey of course but they have other speciality drinks that are vodka, gin, tequila based. Drinks came out pretty fast and tasted very well made. The restaurant is on the smaller end, but the decorations are cute and pretty. They have a small seating area outside in the front as well. Parking could be difficult, just street parking is available.

Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

But sadly my mom could not hear us, due to the music being so loud, we did ask twice if they would turn it down a little to no avail. That is too much money to spend, to not be able to hear each other. We had to hurry out because she was getting frustrated.

What I really appreciate is that sometimes it's even kid-friendly, which makes it a great option if you're not just going out solo or with friends. I've been coming around since back when it was Iguana Kelly's, and it's been cool to see how the place has evolved while still keeping that local, neighborhood feel. The location is super easy to find, right next to a donut shop and a mechanic, and across the street you've got a 7-Eleven, Subway, and a few other small spots. Plus, Tommy's Burgers and an Arco are right nearby, so everything you might need is within reach. I tried both the cucumber mixed drink and the mango mixed drink, both were really good, but I personally preferred the cucumber one. It's less sweet and way more refreshing, especially if you're not into overly sugary drinks. We also had a BBQ chicken pizza that they cook in a fire oven (I think it's called a wood-fired pizza), and it was really good, definitely worth trying if you go. Service was good During the outdoor event, they had things set up really well, including a sign that read "21 and over beyond this point only," which helped keep things organized. They also had jumpers outside for the little ones to enjoy, along with tables and chairs so everyone could hang out comfortably. Parking can be a bit tight in their lot, but there's always street parking if you take a minute to read the signs. Overall, it's a great hangout spot with a welcoming atmosphere and something happening more often than not. Definitely worth checking out.

The vibe was perfect...great energy with plenty of room to dance. The cocktails were excellent, and the bartenders, Jose and Jocelyn, were incredibly attentive and helped make the night even better. Honestly, every staff member we interacted with, from the promoter to the security guard, was fantastic and contributed to such a fun welcoming atmosphere. The decor was such a fun surprise...tons of palm trees and inflatables made it feel like you were in a tropical getaway rather than just a pizza restaurant. They also had a photo booth, which added another fun touch to the night. We took a ton of pictures in it. We really appreciated the gender-neutral bathrooms and the overall safe, inclusive environment that made our whole group feel comfortable drinking, dancing, and celebrating. Parking can be rough, but as a Long Beach native I already knew that, so we chose to Uber.. We'll absolutely be making the trip back from North Orange County to visit again!

It's never the first or only stop of the night but it is worth going by just to feel it out and eat.

We arrived and there were a few parties leaving, we walked to the bar area and the two servers were occupied with other guests, so we patiently waited. Finally one of them approached us and shared the menu, another gentleman came to the bar and he was quickly greeted with a hello and our same server immediately shared the menu. The gentleman politely said, these ladies were here first please take their order first, which the server did but was not so happy about. To our surprise the server still prepared his drinks first. The gentleman very surprised apologized since he knew we were there before him. With our drinks in hand we found a table with some empty seats. The table side where we sat had a sprite glass bottle and a glass that hadn't been picked up since the last party left. We moved it a side to set our drinks and finally enjoy our conversation. A different server came to the table and asked the gentleman next to us to get his empty glass and she completely ignored our side. She did another round and I finally asked her to pick up the bottle that was left by another party before us. I asked her for the menu again, she brought it but she did say that I had go back up to the bar to order any additional drinks. We decided to not order a second round and head up to the terrace.
