I've been here several times on vacation. Their ice cream is very good. I recently had the chocolate chip cookie dough and was impressed. It unexpectedly had a bit of a caramel flavor to it. I loved it and I'll continue going here. They are very nice as well. The first time we went, we didn't know it was only cash but they served us anyway with a promise that we'd come back and pay for it. Oh, and they have a very large candy supply. Can't say enough good things about this place! It's literally the one thing my boys (12 & 9) want to do when we come on vacation here. The employees are all so kind and welcoming. Me and my husband absolutely love this ice cream. We have been to a ton of places on Anna Maria island and around it that claimed they were the best, but Dips most definitely top them all. I'm so embarrassed on how I was treated by the owner tonight in front of my 10 year old son. There is a General Store with the Ice Cream store up front. We have been in both many times over the last few days. I go in tonight and get a gallon of milk and a bottle of wine while my son is picking out candy. I was then told I had to pay for the groceries in the back, ok no problem. I come to pay for the candy and the owner wouldn't touch my items. He Embarrassed me and told me to keep them because he saw me touch my nose. There were no masks required nor did he have one or gloves. Yep I took the $16.00 worth of candy because I knew he would just throw it away. He made me feel terrible and embarrassed me in front of other customers but especially my son. read more

This ice cream is really good. I just ordered the hard chocolate Ice cream, and it was delicious it was a little bit strange, though. Because of the virus, they close at 9 pm; but I got there probably around 9:10, ordered and got our food but, some people who came right after me were told that they had closed. Then, another group came who were served their ice cream. One other downside is that this place is super overpriced!! Average ice-cream shop but a fantastic array of candy in jars around the wall. Lots of novelty items too (rubber cockroaches were too good to pass up on for my 12-year old son). Server was a little too interested in the baseball game whilst serving us which slowed us down a little but we were in no rush. Ice cream was just OK - you can get it just the same at numerous outlets. Great if you are passing (as we were) but don't go out of your way to get here. read more

According to my daughter it is the best cotton candy ice cream she has ever had. They only take cash though thank goodness she had some with her. Very cozy creamery nicely located on Gulf Drive. Space is limited inside, with almost no seating, but the staff are friendly and the ice cream selection is great. Employees were happy to let us taste flavors before we decided. Scoops were large and malt was well made. There are a few seats outside, but this is a place to get your ice cream to go, rather than expect to sit and eat. Lots of reviews here about unfriendly staff but that wasn't our experience at all. This little place is just up the street from our house so it was much easier to get to than others and our kids loved it. The candy jars made their eyes widen as soon as we walked in (and of course we had to get some) and we all thought the ice cream delicious. Stopped in here the other night to get multiple items to take back to the house. In all, we had 3 flavours: chocolate chip mint, salted caramel and the sugar free vanilla pomegranate. They were all delicious. The sugar free flavour didn't have any off taste or consistency. All were amazingly CREAMY; I've never had anything of this consistency. The only downside was that the girl taking our order was cold and lifeless. If she had some personality and a friendly demeanor, I would have tipped her. When we went back the second time, we had the pleasure of being served by Nick who was the complete opposite...extremely friendly, full smile, good attitude and disposition. Definitely worth it!
