Driving from Upland to our home takes around 1 hour 30 minutes each way. Sean, Reuben, and Aaron made SEVERAL round trips until our wine cellar was perfect. They offered to take the door back because it was literally off by a couple centimeters. They don't stop until the customer is fully satisfied. Direct Shower Door deserves every bit of the 5 stars. Direct Shower Door installed our glass panel when we had our master bath remodeled. The install went smoothly and the technician was very neat when he installed the panel and our glass inset pieces. Unfortunately, we had to temporarily have the panel removed to have some tiles replaced due to contractor error in not sealing the tiles correctly. I called to schedule the removal and re-install and spoke with Debbie to set it up. She had Micah set up the removal which went quite smoothly. When we were ready to have the panel re-installed, Debbie helped again by contacting Micah to schedule the re-install. The person who re-installed the panel wasn't as neat as the original installer and got silicon on my newly replaced tiles as well as extra silicon around the corners. I called and spoke with Donna who asked for pictures and then facilitated the supervisor/ manager to come out and take a look. The supervisor came out and said it was normal for the silicon to be outside of the glass panel by about 1/8 of an inch as when they place the glass on the silicon bead it spreads. However, he couldn't explain why there was excess silicon on my new tile floors or why the re-install wasn't as neat as the original installation. He also tried to explain why the glass laying on the quartz was crooked saying the floor tiles weren't laid even and that was causing the glass panel to be installed slightly off - he said he could remove the glass and re-install it but then the glass wouldn't be lined up with the grout. Who knows if this is correct or not as by this time I was pretty frustrated with the non-answers I was getting even after I suggested he speak with the person who installed the panel to begin with. He said he would clean up the excess silicon on the floor and in the corners to which I asked him if the chemicals would be okay on our marble tiles that had just been replaced - to which he replied it would be fine. As of the writing of this review, there is now a stain on the new tiles where he cleaned up the excess silicon - hopefully it disappears with time but I'm not holding my breath. It's too bad that the customer service and knowledge stopped at the folks answering the phones and didn't carry over to the person re-installing the panel. read more

My 1st point of contact was Sean Stone, who explained the process and asked for a few pic's of my current shower and current opening size. He then advised me of my options and cost. He then moved our project on to scheduling for an actual measurements. I was contacted by scheduling dept. to set up a date to get measured, the technician who came out was fast and had all the latest equipment to get an accurate measurement, he also showed me what we would get and explained the process even more. I don't recall his name but he was friendly and very professional. After that two weeks later I was contacted by scheduling letting me know our door was ready and gave me a date for installation. This was one of the most seamless process I've had with a home update vendor. I started by getting a quote with Brie. These guys were great. They communicated well, showed up when they said they would, and did great work! Very happy and would recommend them. The glass is 3/8" thick which is plenty beefy. Another installer tried to sell me on 1/2" glass and I am glad we did not pay the extra cost because the 3/8" is more than thick enough. One other decisions you need to make is do you use the a plastic piece to keep the water in the shower or do you go 100% glass (not as effective in keeping water in the shower). In the end we went with the plastic. You really can not tell it is there (see "After" picture). I think it was also the best way to go. read more
