They came and replaced the broken pump immediately, which addressed the problem. It was all under warranty and I wasn't charged. My issue was quickly resolved and honestly, I really appreciate the receptionist at Thompson's. She is kind, personable, helpful and she got me in sooner than anticipated. Both techs that I've worked with are personable, professional, and competent. I always appreciate excellent customer service and Thompson's definitely has it. At first, I thought I was speaking with the owner's daughter because the voice sounded like a young person and came across as somewhat unfriendly. When I asked if I was speaking with a real person, the system confirmed that it was an AI assistant. It's now been more than 24 hours, and I have not received a callback. Because HVAC issues can be time-sensitive and expensive, I ultimately hired another company. I understand businesses are looking for ways to improve efficiency, but for services like HVAC, customers often need questions answered quickly so they can make informed decisions. I hope the company reconsiders how its AI system is being used and ensures customers have an easy way to reach a live person or leave a message. .

Saturday we randonly called from a Yelp listing and it turned out to be the same Daniel's. for a 290 dispatch fee they sent a guy out in 2 hours. The good part, he fixed it in 10 seconds. The bad part was that the problem was a loose fan door which I had looked at but hadn't closed as tightly as possible. When the fan had restarted the night before it must have loosened the door. Doesn't matter, the tech Daniel, but not the THE Daniel came fast and fixed the problem and didn't charge more than the dispatch fee. No manager ever did. I also noticed that the one-star reviews I found repeatedly mention excessive pricing, which unfortunately is consistent with my experience. $831 for a routine maintenance visit that resulted in a new capacitor is an extraordinary charge, more than the benchmark for Albuquerque, and well above industry standards. The lack of itemization and the failure to respond when I asked for an explanation make this even more concerning. I would strongly advise homeowners to get a second opinion and an itemized estimate before authorizing any repair with Daniels. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
