This is a great place to visit and enjoy excellent beer in a nice atmosphere. We stopped by for a drink during our day out. Caroline was our server and was so helpful in providing answers to our questions about the beers and drinks available. Service was EXCELLENT and the beer has always been a stand out for me. Our friend had the Doppel Bock and enjoyed it. I had my favorite, Airbrush IPA which is one of my all time favorite beers. I look forward to our trip to Myrtle Beach every winter so that I can enjoy this brewery during our stay. They are a brewery that gives back to the community in many ways as well which is another reason that I support this business. We had one of their beers at a local restaurant nearby and the bartender told us how to get the the brewery itself. The building is large and very open. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Sid. She had a great personality and very chatty. She went over the beer options with us and had us try a few and we ended up getting a flight. All of the beers were good and they have a nice variety to pick from. Overall good experience, however their merch prices are bit high. $30 a basic t-shirt is a little much for a brewery shirt. read more

Had a very bad experience here. First off, we were overcharged for our beers and we had to take additional time to get our bill corrected. Tuesday, 5 pm visit and stayed about an hour. Must have been 25 to 30 patrons in the whole place and only 1 person waiting on customers. That means this beertender was pouring every beer, running all food items from the kitchen to the entire place, bussing tables and checking out customers that came in to buy 4 packs. It was crazy. This was in August, during the summer and they only had 1 person working! Took a good 15 minutes every time we wanted a beer and we found the beertender to be very offputting. This was because he would consistently walk right past us as we sat at the bar and not make eye contact. He went out of his way to make sure he didn't make eye contact. We pushed our empty beer glasses forward to make sure he'd see them, but he just kept walking by. Every time we wanted a beer we literally had to call to him as he simply ignored us. At most breweries, they're chopping at the bit to pour you your next beer...not here! It was as if the guy literally didn't want to have to pour beers or something. Don't you want to make money? We really just didn't understand it. Yeah, he was busy, but to walk past our empty glasses over and over and over as we sat at the bar right in front of the taps, we were just dumfounded. We talked about it and concluded that he ignored us because he heard us talking about other breweries in the MB area (for tourists, definitely go to Crooked Hammock Brewing in North Myrtle---awesome food and beers and it's a big place with multiple bars. They have things dialed in there.) to some other out of towners. The food we had was decent, albeit it way overpriced (that's just what you get at breweries nowadays) and the beers tasted fine. Beers are 7 to 10 bucks a pour for typically a pint. Oh, and they don't have wifi, which totally sucks. Can't remember the last time I went to a brewery and they didn't have wifi. I recommend you visit Crooked Hammock in North Myrtle Beach. It's just plain way, way, way better and in a much, much safer part of town. read more

Stopped in for a bite to eat and they were operating cafe style where you order at the bar and then your food would be delivered to your table. The hubs and I both got the Smash burger. It's made with a mix of ground beef and I think he said bacon. I just remember tasting chopped crispy bacon in it. It wasn't horrible but definitely not a burger I would rush back to have. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the variety of games they have available. I probably wouldn't go back to eat here but would come for beer and games with a group of friends. read more

Burger was great, chicken sandwich was great. Kids get a popsicle after their meal! Kitchen closes at 7 during the week and doors close at 8. Found it to be VERY clean. For a couple years, we delayed visiting Grand Strand Brewing primarily because we weren't sure about parking. We were pleasantly surprised to find a decent parking lot directly behind the brewery and a great menu of beer and food. Bartender super chill, attentive, and very helpful with craft suggestions. My colleague ordered a craft beer and loved it. Not being a craft beer connoisseur myself I don't recall the choice he got however, the bartender did say it was their most popular brand. Sorry bout that. Much to my surprise this establishment carries spirits as well. When asking what Bourbons they carry m, Buffalo trace was on the "menu" so I went ahead and happily ordered one of them. Fantastic time at this brewery! Such an inviting atmosphere with ample seating inside and out - they have games for kids and adults which is always a nice touch. Awesome beer selection and the bartender suggested a beer that my dad would like (he doesn't like any micro brews) and the Golden Ale fit the bill! He said that a lot of people come in there wanting a miller lite or coors light so they decided to make a beer that would cater to those folks without sacrificing their beer standards! Located across the street from ziplining and several blocks from the beach, Grand Strand Brewing is a solid option for some beer while in Myrtle Beach. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, with games to play as well (board games, corn hole, jumbo checkers, etc.). Beer was good. Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was okay. Love how it's kid friendly. C&N received juice boxes and a bag of gold fish right when we sat down! Started off with a flight (four 4oz pours of your choosing for $12) that included the rainy day heff, wingtip pilsner, shark! cherry sour, and tropical heat. All were pretty good, but enjoyed the rainy day heff (pretty standard heff, but I tend to drink these when I drink beers) and tropical heat (the mango flavor comes through nicely and has a little bit of heat) the most. I also tried one of the boxed cocktails they sold from Beatbox as I've never seen it before. Wow was the fruit punch strong! This one is definitely deadly, but pretty good. To eat we shared the fried pretzel bites with beer cheese and chicken n' biscuits bread bites. The fried pretzel bites were actually pretty good. They didn't remind me of your usual pretzels though. They were super soft and airy. The chicken bites were just okay. They aren't mini chicken and biscuits, but chicken bites breaded in biscuits. I'd skip these. Not even C&N were really interested. Besides happy hour M-F from 4-7pm, be sure to check out their specials. They also have live music on occasion. We found metered parking not too far from the brewery. Another stop on the Myrtle Beach Beer Trail is Grand Strand Brewing, one of surprisingly few places on this interstate trail that actually brews its own beer. Stereotypical southern hospitality was on full display here. We didn't get a chance to tell our beertenders that we were seasoned experts, but they were more than happy to give us half-tasters of anything that caught our eye. It was a hot day, so I switched from IPAs and stouts to lighter fare like sours and lagers. They had a salty watermelon one that I liked, among many others, but I settled for the Salty Golfer pineapple blonde ale. We ordered some pretzel bites with homemade Beach Easy beer cheese, and that was the surprise hit. Each bite was perfectly cooked, gently crisp on the outside and steaming hot on the inside. Beer trail travelers: get a pint of Beach Easy and get 200 bonus points! It's only okay, but it's refreshing on a hot summer day. read more

Gosh am I glad we came here. We had some time to kill before the flight home. The bartender hooked it up with the michelada red ale recommendation. My friend had the Hefeweizen, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I ended up with a flight and enjoyed the hazy IPA best. The sour was also solid. This place is so cool! The outside park is so nice and the corn hole and beer pong setup was awesome. Inside the little living room area kept us comfy. We played battleship and Xbox and it was perfect. Finished the trip off with the beer cheese fries which we awesome, super crispy and the beer cheese was loaded with flavor. The two ladies on staff were super friendly and super attentive. Stopped after our long drive for vacation and were greated promptly. The corner is fenced and there was ample outdoor seating so we chose a table under the awning. The Beers- 10oz pours. We tried session (nice flavor for low AVB), Abby style ale, sandy cheeks west coast IPA. Overall not a bad one among them. 4.0 The food: ok offerings overall. I'd say 3.5. It's pub food to be clear. Giant pretzel with cheesy sauce which was slightly congealed. Salad with brisket which was 50/50 meat/lettuce. Brat with side pasta salad, and beer battered tenders (adult size?) We split for the kids (with fries). Fried were extra salty, but we still ate them up. Did I mention the attentive staff? Food was up so quick and we were constantly checked on by multiple people. It's a 5 for the wait staff. So settled on a 4.0 overall. Beers and food (for 4) was $72 no tip Note it was REALLY loud outside, kings hwy is main drag and there were plenty of motorcycles, rims, and loud stereos. Good people watching, but was frequently louder that we had to shout to be heard. They had some lawn games like connect four, which kept out cherubs busy and again, the corner is fenced. Learned Grand Strand Brewing has only been open 1 week when we visited. You wouldn't have known because everything was running so smoothly. The place was busy both inside and out. There was a live band playing outside. Corn hole game was setup for patrons to play. I side there were several tables and a bar. Customer service was great. Very attentive to us and quite friendly. The waiter knew the beer options well and provided us with the right selection. We also ordered a few appetizers which were very good (well the fries were a bit salty but hey it's only been a week). What a fun time! Stopped in on Saturday afternoon with my husband and oldest son that was visiting from NC. Live music set the mood perfectly! The guys loved their beers Pecan Stout/Jolene Red/First Rodeo. I had the pineapple cider, canned but quite good not too sweet. We snacked on soft pretzels with beer cheese which I highly recommend and chicken tenders with aioli. The chicken tenders were served with some of the best fries I've ever had. Loved this new brewery that opened up! My aunt and I were exploring along the strip and this caught our eye based on the atmosphere when driving passed. Everyone was outside, music was playing, corn hole was set up...just overall a very energetic, friendly, and welcoming vibe. Staff was super friendly and helpful in deciding what to get being we were from out of town and never had any of their beers yet. Food wise we got the loaded fries and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were really tasty and both were good size portions. I wish there was more lawn space to utilize because this brewery could be so much bigger and it's a shame it's right off the road. They make do with the size though with ample seating, bar stools, stage for live bands, lawn chairs, etc. it's fairly new so wishing the best of luck to them and highly recommend to all locals and tourists, you won't be disappointed! read more

I'm always looking for unique craft beer experiences. Grand Stand Brewing doesn't disappoint. I started with the Beach Santa Chocolate Mint (yes mint, not milk) Stout. Wow! Great stout with a nice subtle mint finish. I went with fish and chips and the fish tasted very fresh. I went with Grandma's Pecan Pie Pecan Stout for dessert. It has a great pecan nutty taste to it and a smooth finish. The barkeep was super friendly and knowledgeable. Typical ambiance but so many more beers I want to try. I'll be back! read more
